Wan-Bissaka’s man of the match display compounded Ruben Amorim and Manchester United’s misery with his hand in both goals in a 2-0 win plunging his former side to even deeper lows. For Potter, he was the least surprised person in Old Trafford to see Wan-Bissaka put in such a commanding performance, something he was often accused of not being able to do in a Manchester United shirt. ‘He's been really impressive, ’ Potter said. ‘As I've said before, I can't say this categorically because I don't know Aaron's career, but I can't imagine he's played as well [before] as he has for us at this point in his career. ‘He looks like he's enjoying his football. He gives a lot to the team, really pleased with what he's giving to the team offensively and defensively. As I said, it looks like he's enjoying his football. For all the criticisms of attitude and application from counterpart Ruben Amorim - who fumed at his players’ lack of ‘urgency’ - Potter was brimming with pride at a first away win since February 22. ‘You can talk tactics but it's about desire and application and sticking together. The player's attitude and commitment to what we're trying to do has been first class, ’ he said. ‘We have the capacity. We just have to keep working. ’
