Alex Scott was forced to apologise to viewers for Chloe Kelly latest F-bomb during the Lionessess open-top bus celebrations. Fans lined the streets of London on Tuesday to welcome home the back-to-back European Champions following Sunday’s victory over Spain. The victorious squad packed out the open-top bus as it made its way towards Buckingham Palace. It was there that players and staff assembled on stage to greet the thousands of fans in attendance. Such is the appeal of Sarina Wiegman’s champions, the celebrations were broadcast live, fronted by former Lioness Alex Scott. The footballer-turned broadcaster interviewed a host of players including Kelly and was quickly reminded of the intricacies of live television. Kelly said: "Pressure, what pressure? " The 27-year-old then added: "Thank you to everyone that got out to support us, whether that's in Switzerland or here today. It's so f***ing special. " Scott’s experience forced her to quickly intervene and quickly responded with: "We are live so I will apologise for that language right there. " Kelly later took to social media to explain her verbal slip-up. "Ooops, " Kelly wrote. "Emotions got the better of me. Sorry for the F bomb. Love CK x. " Kelly's accidental swear during the trophy presentation came days after her hilarious X-rated comment upon collecting her winner's medal from UEFA president Aleksander Cerefin, which was picked up by lip readers watching on television. Her post-match interview also contained some colourful language whilst live on TV. "This team is made of magic and it's made of steel, ” Kelly said. "When we were down against Sweden, when we were down against Italy. "We f***ing showed great determination and we came back. "You can't write the English off! " Kelly became England’s hero for a second straight European Championship final after firing home the winning penalty against Spain. The Arsenal star netted in the 2022 final against Germany to secure the Lionessess first triumph in the competition. Kelly noticed England’s 119th-minute winner in last week’s tense semi-final win over Italy. Teammate and captain Leah Williamson could barely hide her emotion during the open-top bus parade. "I'm holding back tears. I've been crying all down The Mall, ” she said. "This is unbelievable, this is probably one of the best [things] we have ever been a part of, so thank you for coming out. "There are many ways to win a football match. And we repeatedly did it the hard way, but you can see how much we care about playing for England and how much we love it. " The celebrities were also out in force with M People singer Heather Small belting out her hit song ‘Proud’ which was synonymous with the London 2012 Olympics. Burna Boy was also present as he performed for the crowd and for Wiegman, it appears, after the England boss was seen dancing alongside her favourite artist. © 2025 talk SPORT Limited
