NBA NBA Postseason LIVE 3m ago Anthony Edwards missed 11 of Minnesota's final 14 games while dealing with knee pain. Melina Pizano / Getty Images DENVER — Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is listed as questionable on the preliminary injury report for Game 1 against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday with “right knee injury maintenance. ” Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said Edwards was “full go” when the team scrimmaged this week, so the 25-year-old guard is expected to be ready to play Saturday. But Edwards’ mobility will be something to watch closely. Any limitations to the Wolves star would be a huge blow to sixth-seeded Minnesota’s hopes to upset the third-seeded Nuggets. Advertisement Edwards has been bothered by the knee condition for several weeks. He missed 11 of the last 14 games of the regular season, which caused him to fall short of the 65-game threshold for postseason award eligibility. But Edwards did look good in his final game against Houston on April 10, and will have gone eight days between that game and Saturday’s playoff opener. Warriors star Steph Curry has been dealing with a similar injury, which caused him to miss 27 games down the stretch of the regular season. Curry described it as an unpredictable condition that can feel good one day and terrible the next. Edwards has a history of healing quickly, and he usually saves his best for the playoffs. When the Wolves play the Nuggets on Saturday, it will be the 29th game the two teams have played in the last four years. Spot the pattern.
