By Michael Pavitt Alejandro Garnacho is also on the bench for the first half and it will be interesting to see whether he can get on. Amorim held a team meeting at Carrington on Saturday in which it emerged he opened the door for the unhappy Argentina winger to leave Old Trafford this summer. Mail Sport's Man United Confidential has learned Amorim was so angry that he effectively told Garnacho to hope to God he can find another club rather have to return to United for pre-season training at the start of July. ‘You better pray that you can find a club to sign you, ’ said Amorim. You can read more in Man United Confidential here By Michael Pavitt Garnacho gets his first chance to go for a run out wide on the left for Man United. He looks to trick his way into the box, but the ball is eased out for a goal kick. At the other end, an ASEAN All Stars player is flagged for offside. The linesman then manages to drop his flag. By Michael Pavitt Alejandro Garnacho taking blows from everyone now at Man United it seems. After his brutal dressing down from Ruben Amorim on Saturday, he now falls victim to Chido Obi, another half-time sub. Obi smashes a left footed effort goalwards and straight into Garnacho, who was unable to get out of the way. By Michael Pavitt Both Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho are on at the break for Man United as part of numerous changes. By Michael Pavitt Amorim already made four changes in the first half for Man United and you would expect a host of them at half-time. Will we see appearances for Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho in the second half? By Michael Pavitt A verdict from one of Mail Sport's Man United correspondent's Nathan Salt. By Michael Pavitt The referee's whistle sounds for half-time. Really not much to add. Have quite enjoyed the performance of Nguyen Hai Long for the ASEAN All Stars. Can see why he has four goals in 10 games for Vietnam. By Michael Pavitt A chance for Man United right on the stroke of half-time. Rasmus Hojlund lays the ball back to Patrick Dorgu on the edge of the box. Dorgu goes for placement rather than power and his attempt is well held by Patiwat Khammai in the ASEAN All-Stars goal. By Michael Pavitt Fair to say this has not been a thrill a minute first half. That's probably expected given it is a post season friendly for Man United and the ASEAN All Stars are a mix of players. Drifting towards half time now. By Michael Pavitt Suddenly shots are reigning in from Man United players. From the resulting free kick the ball falls to Mainoo in the box and his goalbound effort is blocked by a combination of goalkeeper and defender. That looked destined for the net. Man United briefly appeal for a handball but that's ignored by the referee. Jaydan Kamason then shoots from wide on the right, but his effort is always rising. By Michael Pavitt Some lovely stuff from Mainoo. He displays great footwork and strength out in a wide area and is eventually fouled. By Michael Pavitt With Harry Maguire withdrawn, Kobbie Mainoo is now wearing the captain's armband for Man United. The new skipper attempts an effort from distance, with is pushed behind by the ASEAN All Stars goalkeeper. Not a bad effort from Mainoo. By Michael Pavitt Ruben Amorim said he would look to protect Man United's players today and is doing just that. With 30 minutes played, there is a quartet of changes. Casemiro, Jack Moorhouse, Diogo Dalot and Harry Magurie make way. Jaydan Kamaso, Sekou Kone, Daniel Armer and Shea Lacey come on. By Michael Pavitt The great thing about this ASEAN All Stars side is their sheer desire to have a moment against Man United. Every time a player has had the chance to shoot they have attempted it. Not even the thought of passing. Reyes is the latest to shoot and goes closest so far. His low effort draws a good stop from Andre Onana. At the other end Kobbie Mainoo sends a wayward pass directly out of play. By Michael Pavitt The first real attempt on target for Man United comes through Harry Maguire. You guessed it, from a set piece. Maguire's header bounces into the ball and straight into the hands of the goalkeeper. A comfortable stop. The corner was won by Rasmus Hojlund after he attempted a flick past an ASEAN All Stars defender, but was easily tackled. By Michael Pavitt Man United get their foot on the ball for a couple of minutes, keeping possession in the stifling heat. Casemiro tries to speed up the move by attempting a through ball to Diogo Dalot, but it runs through to the goalkeeper. By Michael Pavitt A succession of corners for the ASEAN All Stars. The latest comes after Rasmus Hojlund was caught in possession, with a shot deflected past the post by Harry Maguire. The pressure continues with another cross into the box headed into the Malaysian sky by Coulibaly for the hosts. It eventually drops to Aguinaldo, who blasts over Onana's goal By Michael Pavitt A hint of an opening for Kobbie Mainoo. The Man United midfielder is found in the box by Patrick Dorgu's cut back. Mainoo's effort is blocked behind for a corner. The resulting set piece sees Harry Maguire go down under pressure, with the Man United skipper for the first half looking like he had been fouled. 'Ref' Maguire appears to be saying, but not much of an appeal. You can bet there would be a bigger appeal had this been a competitive match. By Michael Pavitt This has been a decent start from the ASEAN All Stars. Reece Munro concedes a free kick outside the Man United area after a driving run from one of the ASEAN All Stars players. Nguyen Hai Long curls a free kick over the wall but well over the top of Andre Onana's goal. By Michael Pavitt A first sign of attacking intent from the ASEAN All-Stars. A ball is played in behind the Man United defence and Nguyen Hai Long shoots wide of the target. The flag was already up for offside against the Vietnamese player. By Michael Pavitt Unsurprisingly Man United have had almost all the ball in the opening minutes here. A Diogo Dalot cross was comfortably gathered by goalkeeper Patiwat Khammai. Another ball into the ASEAN All-Stars box causes nervousness, but the hosts scramble the ball away. By Michael Pavitt We are underway in Kuala Lumpur. Harry Maguire has been cheered to the rafters the three times he has touched the ball in the opening minute. The Man United captain is popular in Malaysia it seems. By Michael Pavitt The Maybank Challenge Cup has been presented as part of a long build-up to this match. Maguire and ASEAN All Stars captain Sergio Aguero pose with the trophy alongside the match officials. We might be ready to go now. .. By Michael Pavitt Here come the two teams at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, which looks packed. Around 70, 000 fans are expected to be in attendance. The Malaysian Prime Minister is being brought out to greet the two teams. He is wearing the ASEAN All Stars shirt and the jacket he was presented by Amorim and Berrada earlier. Anwar is being introduced to all the players from both teams. By Michael Pavitt While Man United's struggles during the season have been well documented, their status appears to remain undiminished worldwide. An example of that came on Tuesday as Amorim and chief executive Omar Berrada met with Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Their meeting reportedly lasted for 20 minutes, with Anwar taking a break from the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur. Anwar also received a Man United jacket. By Michael Pavitt Some more business to attend to with kick-off fast approaching. Man United are closing in on their first signing of the summer in Matheus Cunha, having met the £62. 5million release clause in his contract with Wolves. Wolves have now given United permission to conclude the deal which is poised to be a five year contract for Cunha with option of a further year. Wolves rejected United's initial offers to pay the fee over five years and then four years, insisting on three instalments of £20. 85m over two years — as stipulated in the buyout clause. By Michael Pavitt Here is a name that will bring back bad memories for Man United supporters. Sergio Aguero proved a thorn in the Red Devils' side during his decade at rivals Man City, most famously scoring the stoppage time winner to clinch the title in the 2011-12 season. Man United will come face to face with Sergio Aguero today. .. but not that one. Remarkably, the ASEAN All-Stars are captained by Malaysian international Sergio Aguero. This version was also born in Argentina but has since become an Malaysian internaitonal and has earned 17 caps. Here are the two Agueros. .. By Michael Pavitt Man United's post-season tour obviously comes of the back of a miserable campaign, which led to Ruben Amorim to apologise to fans at Old Trafford on Friday. The two friendly matches also come amid a backdrop of uncertainty over the futures of two Man United stars. Mail Sport reported on Tuesday that Bruno Fernandes had been given 72 hours to decide whether to accept a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. The Riyadh-based club are prepared to effectively quadruple Fernandes’ salary of £280, 000-a-week by increasing it to £700, 000 tax-free as part of a package worth up to £200million over three years including bonuses. If he agrees, the club are ready to issue the paperwork on a contract worth around £65m-a-season and make a formal approach to United with a bid in the region of £100m. Fernandes is on the bench for the first half. With the clock ticking down to the deadline, I wonder what he is thinking. .. By Michael Pavitt By Michael Pavitt For those of you wondering why Man United are taking part in two post-season friendlies. That's a great question. The answer would appear to be money. Mail Sport understands the Red Devils are set to received £8m by participating in the two friendlies. The first sees Amorim's side face the ASEAN All-Stars. The team is hand-picked by Southeast Asia internationals and stars from regional leagues. The ASEAN All-Stars were first formed in 2014, for a charity event in aid of victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. South Korean manager Kim Sang-sik named a 22-man squad for the match, with players from Australia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam featuring. Man United will also play a friendly in Hong Kong on Friday. By Michael Pavitt Amorim addressed the media in Malaysia yesterday ahead of the match. The Man United boss stressed the need to deliver those attending the match, despite the Maybank Challenge Cup being a friendly match. 'First of all, every game we play, we have a big responsibility because all our fans are watching, ' Amorim said. 'We want to respect all of this kindness, so we want to have a good performance. 'We have a lot to do, like you saw this season. We have to improve the team. We have almost all the squad here, some of the squad have an injury - like Noussair Mazraoui on Sunday. 'But the rest are here. We also have young kids, who have to understand what it means to play for Manchester United. It's an important moment for us to play the game. ' By Michael Pavitt It is a strong Man United team to start the match in Malaysia, with just under an hour until kick-off. Harry Maguire captains a side that includes Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund, Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo. Academy stars Jack Moorhouse and Reece Munro are also named in the starting team. By Michael Pavitt Just when you thought Man United's season was over, Ruben Amorim's side are in Malaysia for the first of two post-season friendlies. It has been quite the week for Man United. A week ago Amorim's side were hours away from the Europa League final against Tottenham in Bilbao, with defeat ending hopes of earning Champions League qualificiation. Victory over Aston Villa on the final day was swiftly followed by a promise from Amorim to bring the good times back to the club, while Alejandro Garnacho's future is in the spolight. Today, Amorim's side meet the ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur to kick off the post-season. As a United fan I just seen the article, didn't kn. ..
