The 23-year-old Scot has been attracting rave reviews since joining the Edinburgh club on a free transfer from Dundee last summer. They would prefer to wait until at least the summer to cash in on a player who is under contract with them until 2029. Mulligan was a target for Rangers last season, but he signed a four-year deal with Hibs, who agreed a compensation package with Dundee in November. He has quickly become a key player in David Gray’s side with a string of eye-catching displays that have earned him a call-up to the Scotland squad. Mulligan was an unused substitute in the World Cup qualifying tie at home to Belarus in October.
