Nkunku, 28, signed for the Italian giants for a fee rising to £36million in August, which came after two underwhelming years with the Blues where he struggled for form and fitness and netted just six Premier League goals. The Frenchman has flattered to deceive in Italy, scoring just twice and adding two assists in 12 Serie A matches. And, according to Italian outlet corrieredellosport, Nkunku's future at Milan is uncertain, with Fenerbahce interested in a move for the Frenchman. The Turkish side are managed by Domenico Tedesco, who helped to oversee Nkunku's impressive development at RB Leipzig during his 10 months in charge of the club between December 2021 and September 2022. The report adds that the pair have a great relationship and Tedesco has already personally contacted Nkunku, while club-to-club talks have started. Nkunku, who has also attracted interest from clubs in the Middle East, will similarly need to be convinced of the merits of the move, with the report adding that he is unsure about heading to Turkey after such a short period in Milan. The 28-year-old is said to believe he can work his way into Allegri's first-choice team and will be boosted by the two goals he scored in their 3-0 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday. Speaking after that game, Allegri had heaped praise on Nkunku and said he expects him to keep getting better. 'He’s a good guy who wants to do well, ' Allegri told DAZN. 'He broke his duck today and then after the penalty, scored a goal that was in his DNA. 'I think he can continue to improve like everyone else. ' The report adds Nkunku would like to remain at the club until at least the end of the season, citing a few niggling injuries and an adaptation period as factors that have held him back so far. Milan, who are second in Serie A and have won four of their past five league games, face Cagliari on Friday, while Fenerbahce currently sit second in the Turkish Super Lig.
