Dominic Calvert-Lewin has sacked his agent as he continues to look for a new club, talk SPORT understands. Calvert-Lewin left Everton at the end of his contract after nine years, where he scored 71 goals in 273 games. The 28-year-old has now parted ways with his agent and held talks with three Premier League clubs. They are Manchester United, Newcastle United and Leeds United. Sunderland recently made an ambitious move to sign Calvert-Lewin. However, he is keen to keep his options open in the hope of a club higher up the Premier League food chain coming in for him. Sunderland have signed Marc Guiu on loan from Chelsea instead. Aston Villa were reported to be another potential destination for Calvert-Lewin. The former Sheffield United youngster signed for Everton in 2016. Calvert-Lewin scored 57 goals in the Premier League for the Toffees, the third most in the club's history. He was named as their Player of the Season for the 2020/21 campaign, during which he netted 21 times in all competitions. The striker also scored the winning goal against Crystal Palace that kept them up at the end of the 2021/22 season. However, injury issues limited his league appearances afterwards. A hamstring injury meant he missed all of February, March and April before playing in their final four matches as a substitute. At international level, Calvert-Lewin has played 11 times for England. But his last Three Lions cap was earned during Euro 2020 in their quarter-final win over Ukraine. Calvert-Lewin is unlikely to sign for his next club before the start of the Premier League season.
