St Mirren v Dundee (15: 00) Gully Singh BBC Sport Scotland at Smisa Stadium It's the first time in over a month St Mirren fans have been able to come and cheer their side on in Paisley. They've got a Hampden visit to look forward to next month and remain unbeaten in their past four games in the league. The Dundee travelling support will be eager for their team to build on last week's first Premiership win of the season, minus their captain Simon Murray. BBC Scotland's chief sports writer Tom English weighs in on Russell Martin's future at Rangers, who travel to Livingston tomorrow. Listen to Sportsound on BBC Sounds and BBC Radio Scotland Extra This video can not be played 'Brutal, savage, but understandable' - Sportsound on Russell Martin criticism Hearts v Falkirk (15: 00) Hearts head coach Derek Mc Innes tells BBC Sportsound: "Not an easy decision [to name same XI]. "Every game makes you think, but I was really pleased with the performance and everything we did at Ibrox and we'll have to do that again today. "Falkirk are a team who ask you a question with their aggression and test your organisation. "We don't have real options at wide right, and Harry [Milne] showed he has the capability to do that so I think he can do that again, and he really enjoyed it. "It's not too often you can say same again with the team. " Celtic v Hibernian (15: 00) Hibernian head coach David Gray reveals Rocky Bushiri is missing from today's squad for "personal reasons". "Rocky returned to France yesterday for personal reasons. Nothing to worry about, " he told BBC Scotland. "He should be back soon. "Jack Iredale coming in is more of a tactical choice, I wanted a bit of freshness on that side and Nicky Cadden played in the last two. "I would be a lot more concerned if we weren't creating the chances, so we need to keep belief in the players. "The players are frustrated [with the goals we've conceded], we are aware of that. But at the same time we know it needs to be a complete performance today. "That is the key for the players and if we can do that we know we're a very good side and we give ourselves a real good chance today. "Every single week it's the same focus, you want to be as defensively sound as you can be and the players know that. "We have demonstrated this season we can put a complete performance in and that's what going to be required of us. " Dundee United v Kilmarnock (15: 00) Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Sportsound: "It's a difficult venue no matter when you come. Dundee United are doing well at this minute in time. "We faced each other a few weeks ago and we were fortunate enough to win - it was a hard contest, a warm day, at home. "A couple of factors there that are different to now. They've freshened up, changed a lot of personnel over the summer. Two sets of players that are pretty different, but we've got a reasonable gauge on each other. "I don't control the narrative, but one defeat in 11 matches is not a bad start, but we desperately want to get our first win in the league. We want to keep playing the way we are but sustain a wee bit more quality and control. " Dundee United v Kilmarnock (15: 00) Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Sportsound: "Consistency in the performances leads to consistency in the team selection. I couldn't be any happier with what the players are giving us at the moment. "We need to build on the good performance against Aberdeen. There probably wasn't a great deal here between the two teams last time out. "These are the games where we're expected to win. We're slight favourites going into it. We have to show a similar level of performance to get a result. " Dundee United v Kilmarnock (15: 00) Tyrone Smith BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice Things are rosy at Tannadice with Dundee United sitting pretty in third place in the Premiership
and scoring for fun. The biggest challenge they face is keeping that momentum going, and this afternoon's visit of Kilmarnock will be an examination of their credentials. Stuart Kettlewell's side travel north knowing
they need to start getting wins, instead of draws, on the board. It is four draws and one defeat from their opening five
games, and Kettlewell will be well aware that in order to start
climbing the table, they will have to find a way of getting themselves on the victory trail. St Mirren v Dundee (15: 00) Dundee manager Steven Pressley tells BBC Sportsound: "Any sort of win breeds confidence. The squad have adapted really well in recent weeks. "[Simon Murray] turned up this morning. He wasn't feeling particularly well, travelled with us and was sick at the hotel this morning. "It's a set-back for us. He's a talisman, he's our captain, he's a goalscorer, it's a big, big miss for us. " Glasses is clearly the autumn look for on trend Scottish Premiership managers St Mirren v Dundee (15: 00) St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "I look at Dundee and we're on the same points. It's a big game for us today. These are the games you have to win if you want to be a top-six side. "Steven [Pressley] has signed some very good players. They'll be very, very competitive. We have to make sure we don't give them any momentum or hope today. "We want to start he game really well, take the game to Dundee and obviously play our game. " Mikael Mandron (left) has overcome a toe problem to start for St Mirren Leaders St Johnstone are threatening to run away at the top of the second tier. They already have an eight-point advantage after just seven games and go to face Queen's Park this afternoon. Raith Rovers and Arbroath in second and third face each other in Kirkcaldy, so at least one of them are guaranteed to drop points. Hearts v Falkirk (15: 00) Falkirk manager John Mc Glynn tells BBC Sportsound: "It's nice to be back [at Tynecastle, as former Hearts manager], but we're on business, we're working. "Flilp Lissah comes in, he's come up from Swansea, it's a big ask to a certain extent, he's not played a lot "It was going to be a risk no matter what we did, but we can see in training he's a good player "He's not played a side at the top of the Premiership as Hearts are right now. "But like a lot of players, when you throw them in, you still expect them to do well. " Mc Glynn has had two spells in charge of Hearts in his career Hearts v Falkirk (15: 00) Brian Mc Lauchlin BBC Sport Scotland at Tynecastle This 90 minutes at Tynecastle should be an absolute cracker. Both Hearts and Falkirk have demonstrated this season they can find their way to goal and this afternoon should be no exception. For Hearts the incentive is to maintain their place in the top two and any sort of victory would ensure that is the case. Falkirk have been a welcome addition back to the top flight and have continued their exciting brand of football from what we witnessed in both League 1 and the Championship. It’s 10 years since Falkirk visited Tynecastle and on that occasion they left with all three points in what was a five-goal thriller. Anything similar today would ensure entertainment. Celtic v Hibernian (15: 00) Hibs are winless in 22 visits to Celtic in all competitions since a 2-1 victory in January 2010. They have lost each of their past eight away games at Parkhead, all by a goal margin of two or more. Meanwhile, Celtic have lost just two of their past 84 home league games and only one of their latest 31, going down 3-2 to Rangers in March last season. Celtic v Hibernian (15: 00) Amy Canavan BBC Sport Scotland With three games, two goals and one assist, Kelechi Iheanacho has made an instant impact at Celtic. The Nigeria international was left out of the Europa League opener against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday. But after coming off the bench to open the scoring in the 1-1 draw, he starts today. The difference was distinct when boss Brendan Rodgers introduced his former Leicester striker for the second half as he provided a focal point Celtic lacked in the first when Daizen Maeda was through the middle. The 28-year-old registered three shots - all on target - as well as 14 touches, three of which came in the hosts' box, and seven accurate passes out of eight, highlighting his ability to link up play. That was also on show in last week's 4-0 Premier Sports quarter-final victory at Partick Thistle as he exchanged with and set up fellow summer signing Sebastian Tounekti for his goal. Iheanacho's arrival on a free earlier this month was somewhat underwhelming amid fan fury at Celtic's transfer window and failure to reach the Champions League. But if he can continue his goalscoring form with a second Premiership goal in as many games, he will swiftly win supporters over as Celtic's main striker. Celtic v Hibernian (15: 00) Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been speaking to BBC Scotland about the changes to his team for this afternoon's clash. "Just bringing the energy to the team, " he said of the five swaps from their midweek game in Belgrade. "It's a squad game, it was a tough game during the week, long travel, so it's an opportunity for players to come in and affect the game. " Rodgers confirmed Daizen Maeda will feature out on the right this afternoon: "It was clearly an area we missed out on in the market, so it's a little bit of work to see what will work for us. "We know Daizen can play in those wide positions well. " On Arne Engels getting the nod over Benjamin Nygren this afternoon, Rodgers adds: "Arne's role in the squad is very important for us. "Benji has played in from of him this season because of his goal threat, we lost a lot of goals out of our team [this summer]. "Arne just needs to continue what he's doing. He works hard, he gives us other qualities, so today is a good chance for him and Luke [Mc Cowan]. " Reo Hatate misses out with a hamstring issue, but Rodgers "hopes it won't be too long" for the Japan midfielder. Celtic v Hibernian (15: 00) As well as radio coverage, we're also providing separate live text commentary of champions Celtic against stuttering Hibs. That will start here just before kick-off. If you'd rather stay on this page, don't worry. We'll also have updates from Celtic Park on this feed. Celtic go into the weekend top of the pile - but only on goal difference. A favour from Edinburgh rivals Hibs, coupled with a win at home to Falkirk, could see Hearts jump to top spot. It's still very surreal to look at that bottom two. Dundee Utd v Kilmarnock (15: 00) Dundee United are unchanged - for the fourth week in a row - after the 2-0 midweek win over Aberdeen. Ryan Strain is only fit enough for the bench. Will Ferry continues to captain from left wing-back. There's one change for Kilmarnock, who were beaten on penalties last week against St Mirren in the League Cup. Bruce Anderson comes in up top, with Djenairo Daniels dropped to the bench. Brad Lyons is also among the substitutes, but there's still no Scott Tiffoney. St Mirren v Dundee (15: 00) St Mirren make two changes to their starting line-up following the recent Premier Sports Cup quarter-final success against Kilmarnock. Liam Donnelly and Richard Idowu start in place of captain Mark O'Hara and midfielder Keanu Baccus, who are not in the squad. O'Hara has a foot injury while Mikael Mandron has overcome a toe issue to start. Alex Gogic wears the armband. Dundee too are without their skipper - Simon Murray - and also make two changes. Defender Imari Samuels and forward Ashley Hay come in for benched midfielder Tony Yogane and the unwell Murray. Yan Dhanda is still suspended for the Dark Blues and Clark Robertson stands in as captain. Dundee players arriving earlier, don't they look excited? Anderson has three goals in 10 games against Dundee United At a glance Kilmarnock pick up first Premiership win & Kettlewell's first as manager Anderson & Deas goals give visitors a well-deserved victory Despite defeat, United remain fourth in table Kilmarnock recorded their first win of the Scottish Premiership season in style as they dispatched a meek Dundee United at Tannadice. Goals in either half from Bruce Anderson and Robbie Deas also secured a first league win for Stuart Kettlewell as Kilmarnock manager, while Zac Sapsford missed a late penalty to compound out-of-sorts United's misery. Despite not picking up a victory in their first five games, spirits have still been high at the start of Kettlewell's reign, due to the level of performance in their four draws and a loss before this. And although United were "slight favourites" before the match, according to manager Jim Goodwin, Kilmarnock were worth their victory. Anderson's goal was a well-taken finish from the edge of the box, latching onto David Watson's lay-off and arrowing the ball into the bottom corner. There was plenty of hesitation around the second, a back-post header which United keeper Yevhenii Kuchurenko appeared to claw away, but the ball had crossed the line and the goal was given. They could have made it more comfortable, too. Marcus Dackers sliced a powerful effort just wide, while Brad Lyons' curled effort was well saved. It wasn't all bad for United. Panutche Camara was arguably the best player in the first half, and substitute Nikolaj Moller forced Max Stryjek into a brilliant save with his backheel flick. But they blew hot and cold too often, and struggled to find a clinical edge when they got into good positions - typified when Sapsford's late penalty was tipped around the post by Stryjek. Like Motherwell, Kilmarnock had earned plenty of plaudits this season before actually winning a game in the Premiership. They had a decent League Cup campaign - including a win over United - and the summer signings gelled quickly. Ben Brannan and David Watson were at the forefront of Kettlewell's new style. Watson starred again here, picking up plenty of spaces and setting up the first goal. Kilmarnock's form on the road has been a sore point for a few seasons. Their only away win in 15 games before this one was against an already-relegated St Johnstone last season. But they deserved this. They weathered any pressure at the back and, although a lot of the stats skewed in United's favour, they were more direct and clinical. United fans might look at the the x G - 2. 5 to them, compared to their visitors' 1. 46 - as well as a host of other stats and scratch their heads. But the eye test was that Kilmarnock were worthy victors. There were phases of good play, particularly in the first 15 minutes. But United stalled and failed to find a way past Stryjek in the visiting goal. It was notable they had an unchanged starting XI for the fourth game running, something which speaks to their consistency. But perhaps there was fatigue from their midweek exertions against Aberdeen. Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell: "Scoring two goals away from home, getting a clean sheet. The performance was excellent. "We tip-toed into it, both teams were a wee bit loose in possession at times. We felt there was space for us to exploit if we could connect. We started doing that. If I'm being really fussy I felt we could have scored a few more goals. " Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin: "We're bitterly disappointed to have lost the game and put an end to the unbeaten run we've been on. "I spoke before about consistency in starting XI because of the consistency of performances. Unfortunately today, that dropped below the standard of what is needed to win games in the Scottish Premiership. "A couple of key moments in the game has cost us. We didn't do enough in the game overall. " United host Livingston next Saturday (15: 00 BST) in the Scottish Premiership. Kilmarnock welcome St Mirren at the same time.
