Dybala and the player in question have had a simmering dispute since April 2024 when the two went head-to-head in a bitter local derby. The quarrelling duo had to be separated by team-mates after a heated confrontation on the pitch. Dybala's recent nemesis? Matteo Guendouzi. The ex-Arsenal midfielder currently plies his trade at Lazio and it was last year's Rome derby against eternal foes Roma - whom Dybala plays for - where the sparks first flew. And recalling the incident, Dybala told Sergio Aguero's podcast La Casa del Kun: 'That guy talks too much and picks on the youngsters. ' Paulo Dybala has hit out at an ex-Arsenal player after his heated run-in with him last season Dybala (right) and Matteo Guendouzi had to be separated during last season's Rome derby Dybala showed Guendouzi his shinpad with a picture of Argentina winning the World Cup Expanding further, the Argentina forward revealed that Guendouzi tried to belittle Roma team-mate Matias Soule - dating back to Lazio clashes against Frosinone, the latter's former club. 'That Frenchman has a big mouth and he annoys the youngsters in particular, he always takes it out on them. 'He would tell them: "I'll buy you a ticket, I'll send you home", he always did that to the youngsters. For example, Soule played for Frosinone the year before and he told us that he always told him: "I'll buy you one". ' That example angered Dybala who sought to silence his opponent during the derby, which Roma won 1-0, in more ways than one. 'It made me really angry, so I went to the pitch to look for him. We said everything. 'Then I remembered that they had just given me the shin guard with the photo of the World Cup [won against France in 2022], and I showed it to him. He didn't say anything. ' The already-explosive Rome derby next season is bound to have some added spice next season.
