Falkirk's Scott Arfield is looking to right a wrong with return to the Premiership Scottish Championship: Falkirk v Hamilton Academical Venue: Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk Date: Friday, 2 May Kick-off: 19: 45 BST Coverage: BBC Scotland, BBC i Player and BBC Sport website & app. Scott Arfield says securing the Scottish Championship title and returning Falkirk to the Premiership would be the "most fulfilled and content" feeling he has had in his career and atone for his part in relegation during his first spell at the club. John Mc Glynn's side know victory over Hamilton Academical at home in Friday's final fixture will almost certainly deliver promotion given their superior goal difference over Livingston, who are now level on points as they host Partick Thistle. It was the pain of demotion early in his career that was Arfield's motivation for his return to the club. "It was the reason, " he told BBC Scotland. "We were miles off and we did get relegated on the last day of the season. We've done so well getting into this situation now and it's up to us just to grab that chance now and right what went wrong 15 years ago. " Falkirk have had chances to seal the title but faltered, the latest being an injury time defeat by Thistle at Firhill that opened the door for Livingston to close in. Despite that, Arfield, who went on to play for Rangers, Burnley and Canada, knows the outcome is still very much in their hands on the final day and may yet deliver a huge opportunity for the club. "We've worked ever so hard to get the club back to a situation where you can effectively change the full course of this club for the next number of years, " the former product of Falkirk's youth system explained. "It's been a long time since this club has been in the top division of Scotland and we've got an opportunity to change it. We're 90 minutes away for getting this club back to where it should be. " For PFA Scotland Manager of the Year nominee Mc Glynn, the sky is the limit for Falkirk if they finally get the title win over the line. "It's massive for the football club, " he said. "To come from League 1 three years ago, the invincible season last year and now to be on the crest of getting to the Premiership, it would transform the football club. "There's possibly no limits to where we can go. You cannot underestimate how big a game this is. " Mc Glynn, who refused to be drawn on links to the managerial vacancy with his former club, Heart of Midlothian, conceded that the players have been hurt by recent defeats. "They've been sore, " he explained. "We've inflicted a few of these bits and pieces on ourselves. "It just makes us more determined. We're very confident that we can do the business.
