The midfielder is now playing for Girona in La Liga, on loan from Juventus following a failed temporary stay with Liverpool in the Premier League under Jurgen Klopp two seasons ago. He played just once for the Reds - for 13 minutes - as he battled injury issues and selection woes having arrived with high hopes at the start of his German boss' penultimate year at the club. Marca report that Arthur Melo was enjoying some time off in Barcelona - where he played for more than two years - to go shopping, and was paying for his parking ticket when the incident occurred. The event is said to have happened at 4pm on Passeig de Gracia, and it is reported that an individual hopped off a motorbike and stole a luxury watch before bolting at speed. It is reported that there were two people involved in the robbery, with Melo unharmed and reporting the incident to the police. Former Premier League star Arthur Melo was reportedly robbed in broad daylight in Barcelona The midfielder only played once for Liverpool while on loan from Juventus before leaving club He is said to have had his watch stolen, but is unharmed and reported the incident to police Marca say that Melo was in training on Friday as normal and is likely to feature for Girona in their clash with Alaves on Saturday. It is not the first time the 28-year-old has allegedly been robbed, with it reported that two burglars broke into his home and threatened his brother with a weapon in 2019. The break-in happened during Barcelona's 3-0 Champions League semi-final first leg victory against Liverpool six years ago. The two people were understood to have taken valuables including jewellery and a Rolex watch. Local reports said Melo's unnamed brother returned home around 11pm after the match to find two masked men in the house, who put a weapon similar to a screwdriver to his throat and forced him to open a safe with valuables inside. There were no reports of any injuries. Melo has played six times since joining Girona on loan from Juventus in January as he looks to find a club to settle at having joined the Italian side in 2020. He also spent time on loan at Fiorentina after leaving Liverpool, and has been capped 22 times by Brazil.
