Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen It opens up for Motherwell, but last week's match-winner Regan Charles-Cook can't get a shot away before committing a foul. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Another Dons strike, this one is from Emmanuel Gyamfi, who slices well wide from about 20 yards. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen There are huge gaps for Aberdeen on the break. They surge forward again and Jesper Karlsson's deflected strike is gathered. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Amy Canavan BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park Jens Berthel Askou anticipated an aggressive Aberdeen. The Motherwell manager has been proven right so far. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen For Motherwell, it's been a bit sloppy by their standards in the pouring Lanarkshire rain. Still early, though. FT: St Mirren 1-0 Dundee St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "It was a tight game. Dundee started better than us. We started to get opportunities and gain momentum and we scored at a good time. "We were in control of the game. We had ownership of the game without Dundee really creating a lot of chances in the second half. We're delighted with the result. "Killian Phillips is infectious - his energy, his quality. He probably doesn't get that credit for how technically good he is. He drives us. He was the one that was leading the press. He triggers everybody else around him. " Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen There's so much more zip and intensity about Aberdeen's play in these opening minutes. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen That's better from the hosts as Apostolos Stamatelopoulos wins a corner. In it comes from Elliot Watt, but it's headed away. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Kevin Nisbet works the keeper again, but this one is a tame effort from the edge of the box from the Dons striker. Motherwell haven't got going at all. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Willie Miller Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound Where has that been hiding all season? I think Kevin Nisbet has got to score, it would have been a magnificent start for the visitors. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Aberdeen should have the lead within the first minute. Emmanuel Gyamfi's cross from the left finds Kevin Nisbet, whose close-range header is tipped over brilliantly from Calum Ward. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen We're under way following a minute's applause for former Motherwell and Liverpool player Bobby Graham, who died earlier this month. Motherwell v Aberdeen (17: 45) Amy Canavan BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park The rain may be absolutely clattering down at Fir Park, but under-fire Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin wasn't in a dampened mood. It's a rare switch of formation from Thelin. He desperately needs it to work. If it doesn't, the hearty band of travelling supporters to his right will let him know. Motherwell v Aberdeen (17: 45) Motherwell: Ward, O'Donnell, Gordon, Welsh, Longelo, Watt, Fadinger, Said, Charles-Cook, Maswanhise, Stamatelopoulos. Substitutes: Oxborough, Balmer, Halliday, Osong, Priestman, Koutroumbis, Ross, Mc Allister, Mc Colm. Aberdeen: Mitov, Devlin, Knoester, Milne, Tobers, Gyamfi, Shinnie, Palaversa, Aouchiche, Karlsson, Nisbet. Substitutes: Suman, Nilsen, Clarkson, Milanovic, Bilalovic, Dorrington, Lazetic, Jensen, Keskinen. FT: Dundee United 0-2 Kilmarnock Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "We're bitterly disappointed to have lost the game and put an end to the unbeaten run we've been on. "I spoke before about consistency in starting XI because of the consistency of performances. Unfortunately today, that dropped below the standard of what is needed to win games in the Scottish Premiership. "I don't want to take anything away from Kilmarnock, they were very good on the day. Stuart Kettlewell has them well drilled, they're difficult to break down, and defended their box brilliantly. "A couple of key moments in the game have cost us. We didn't do enough in the game overall. " Motherwell v Aberdeen (17: 45) Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "I think the performance last week was, in many ways, very good. "There was a bit to improve in our decision-making and quality on the ball, but in terms of our defensive stability and structure and willingness to fight and work hard, there was a lot to be pleased about. "It's also about getting a bit of continuity in the team. We've got no new injuries from this week to last week which makes us able to put the same squad out, but we haven't been able to get any of the players back from injury. "We believe that if we keep working on the attacking sharpness more results and wins will come our way. "This is a great group of players who understand all the details and they're really invested in it, so I back them 100% to start getting more wins. " FT: Dundee United 0-2 Kilmarnock Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "Scoring two goals away from home, getting a clean sheet. The performance was excellent. "We tip-toed into it, both teams were a wee bit loose in possession at times. We felt there was space for us to exploit if we could connect. We started doing that. If I'm being really fussy I felt we could have scored a few more goals. "I didn't feel we were a million miles away from where we wanted to be. Did we execute them game plan pretty well against St Mirren and Celtic? Yes. "Two bitter blows cost us, and there might have been some negativity. Today, we got our just rewards for the performance and that gave the players a bit of extra confidence and belief. "It's not been a million miles from what we've had all season. The level of consistency has been excellent. We won't get too carried away. " FT: St Mirren 1-0 Dundee Dundee manager Steven Pressley tells BBC Sportsound: "There was very little in the game. Simon Murray's always going to be a big miss. "St Mirren, without doubt, finished the first half the stronger team. We created some good moments in the second half. We defended our set plays with great effect. "Something we put a big onus on is attacking set plays and set plays can be the difference in this league between being a top-six club and being a bottom-six club, and today our attacking set plays were really poor. "The signs are there, we're not far away. I felt we should've got something, we should've certainly got something. " FT: Celtic 0-0 Hibernian With an x G of three, Celtic failed to score today. That's an incredible stat. They have now scored fewer league goals than Dundee United, Hearts, Kilmarnock and Hibs. Shankland celebrates with his team-mates after making it 2-0 At a glance Hearts go top of the table with dominant win Kyziridis' stunning strike opens the scoring Shankland becomes SPFL all-time top scorer Halkett puts game beyond doubt as Hearts remain unbeaten this season Rampant Hearts moved to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a dominant win over a listless Falkirk at a raucous Tynecastle, as Lawrence Shankland became the SPFL's record goalscorer. Since Tony Bloom's claim that Hearts could split the Old Firm this season, every performance of Derek Mc Innes' side has been scrutinised to see if they're capable of making good on the investor's words. This performance would suggest that they remain unfazed by any such pressure with a sublime Alexandros Kyziridis strike followed by a fine Shankland effort, before Craig Halkett's diving header put the game to bed. Shankland's strike was his 163rd in all divisions during the SPFL era, moving him one ahead of Rory Mc Allister. Hearts had a slew of early chances, with Harry Milne and Stuart Findlay going close until Kyziridis drove in off the right and whipped a 30-yard strike into the top corner. Falkirk goalkeeper Scott Bain kept his side in the game admirably but failed to reach Shankland's low, driving shot after the striker pounced on a loose pass. John Mc Glynn would have drawn inspiration in his half-time team talk from Falkirk's comeback from two goals down last time out against Hibs, but the game was soon out of sight. Halkett's diving header was directed back across goal from a Kyziridis corner, sealing a comfortable win for the commanding hosts. "Aye, but can they actually win the league? " will be a question asked in many post-match debriefs across Gorgie and beyond after this performance. This game could have been a tricky one against a stubborn Falkirk, especially given the level of expectation building inside Tynecastle. Hearts, however, breezed it. Mc Innes said pre-match his side were starved for options on the right, so the seamlessness with which left-back Harry Milne has slotted in at right midfield shows they have the quality within the squad to keep pushing. Harry Milne has eased Mc Innes' concerns over cover on the right-hand side The above graphic of Hearts' average positions shows Milne's comfort with staying out on his side to support Shankland (9), whom he often linked up with. Hearts were dynamic and potent, with 20 shots - 14 of which were inside the area - 46 touches in Falkirk's box, and 64 final-third entries. Falkirk have been solid enough on their return to the top flight, but this shows they are still levels off the top sides and will be wary of their league position. Only Rangers and Aberdeen are below them, and with many reckoning both of those sides will figure out their poor form soon, Mc Glynn will be keen to move away from the foot of the table. Hearts welcome city rivals Hibernian in the Premiership on Saturday 4 October (17: 45 BST). Falkirk host Rangers the following day in the top flight (15: 00).
