Chloe Kelly scored her third and fourth WSL goals of the season At a glance Stina Blackstenius opens the scoring for Arsenal after four minutes Alessia Russo, Chloe Kelly and Beth Mead score in second half West Ham lose seventh consecutive London derby this season PLAYER RATER Arsenal made it eight Women's Super League home games unbeaten as they eased past West Ham at Emirates Stadium. Stina Blackstenius poked home from Chloe Kelly's cross in the fourth minute as Arsenal got off to the perfect start. The Gunners missed a host of chances to further increase their lead with Blackstenius, Kelly and Olivia Smith having shots saved by West Ham goalkeeper Kinga Szemik. Two minutes into the second half, Alessia Russo increased Arsenal's lead when she headed home from Smilla Holmberg's cross. After 55 minutes, Kelly scored her first WSL goal since October with a strike from the edge of the box that nestled into the bottom corner. The England international got a second when she pounced on Tuva Hansen's mistake to slot in from close range. Beth Mead scored to made it five in the 90th minute, latching on to Holmberg's pass and firing past Szemik to compound a miserable afternoon for the Hammers. There was concern for Eva Nystrom who did brilliantly to stop Blackstenius scoring a second goal but injured herself in the challenge and left the pitch on a stretcher. The result means Arsenal remain fourth, with two games in hand on the teams above them, while West Ham stay 11th. There was only one winner from the fourth minute of this match. West Ham's one and only shot came a minute earlier from Shekiera Martinez while the Gunners had 23 shots in total and 11 on target. Kelly was in imperious form, scoring twice and providing an assist while teenager Holmberg also impressed with her direct crosses which led to two assists. Arsenal's last WSL defeat came in October against league-leaders Manchester City and they are now on an 11-game unbeaten run in the division. The home crowd at the Emirates had plenty to cheer about as Renee Slegers became the first manager to avoid defeat in their first 16 home matches in the WSL (W13, D3) with Chelsea's Sonia Bompastor the only other to go without a loss in their first 15. It is the first season that the Gunners have played all 11 WSL home matches at the Emirates and the results so far speak for themselves. They are unbeaten in home WSL matches this season with five wins and three draws from their eight contests on home soil. In a dominant performance, Arsenal showed why they are still in contention for a Champions League spot with six games left to play. Arsenal host rivals Chelsea at the Emirates on Tuesday in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final (20: 00 GMT) while West Ham face London City Lionesses next Sunday (12: 00 GMT).
