The 40-year-old has been out of work since leaving Fir Park in January amid a torrent of personal abuse which had started to affect his private life and his family. Stuart Kettlewell is ready to return to Scottish football after leaving Motherwell in January Kettlewell was one of several names in the running for the Killie vacancy, including former Hearts boss Steven Naismith and Scotland assistant John Carver, with the Rugby Park club keen to move quickly as Premiership rivals Motherwell and Dundee also look for new managers. Kettlewell, who had a previous stint in charge of Ross County, is thought to have impressed Killie chiefs during the interview process.
