That's the end of the road for us. Enjoy watching the highlights on Sportscene. Hearts are six points clear at the top after a topsy-turvy 2-2 draw at St Mirren. Martin O'Neill enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win over Falkirk on his surprise return to Celtic and Rangers are up to third as Danny Rohl made it two wins from two in the Premiership with a battling 1-0 away to Hibs. Aberdeen and Motherwell were the other winners. We go again on Saturday, with St Mirren and Motherwell bidding for a place in the League Cup final and three more top flight matches. FT: Motherwell 2-0 Dundee United Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin told BBC Scotland: "We were really poor on the night, but I don't want to take anything away from Motherwell - I thought they were excellent, particularly in the first half. "I've got to take my share of the blame in that because tactically, I don't think we got it right. We made changes, we were able to commit more bodies forward, be more aggressive in our press. "In the first half, we were too cautious. Motherwell want the press, want you to come onto them, they want to break lines and take your midfield out the game. They caused us numerous problems. "The second half was a little bit better but nowhere near good enough and we didn't deserve to take anything on the night. " FT: Motherwell 2-0 Dundee United Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "The win is important but the performance was more important because we needed to raise it from the other day [against Livingston]. It wasn't good enough. "Many other times, had we delivered that performance, we would not have won the game. We might as well have lost it. Today was much better, much more controlled and dominant. "The first half we were in full control, and it opened up a little. They tried to be man-to-man orientated. The second goal killed the game off a little and then we had good defensive structure at the end. " FT: St Mirren 2-2 Hearts Rory Loy Former Falkirk striker on BBC Sportsound In the cold light of day, Hearts will look back on this as a good point. They might be disappointed that Celtic won so comfortably and seem rejuvenated. FT: Celtic 4-0 Falkirk Falkirk boss John Mc Glynn tells BBC Scotland: "For 30 minutes I thought our guys played really well. The longer the half went, the more we were having to defend and then lose two goals and have a mountain to climb. "This match won't define our season. We won't be fighting for the first four positions. We've got a huge game against Kilmarnock on Saturday and that's more important. We just need to bin this game. "We freshened things up for this one and we'll freshen it up again at the weekend. "We've only dropped one position in the league, so not too much damage done. " You can catch highlights from tonight's games on BBC One Scotland - or at the top of this page. A link will magically appear in just a second. .. Aberdeen had 28 points and Hearts six points after 10 games last season. Mad. Calum FT: St Mirren 2-2 Hearts St Mirren assistant coach Brian Kerr tells BBC Scotland: "We feel a wee bit hard done by with the decision [to rule out what would have been a second goal for Miguel Freckleton]. We're still looking back to see why it's been disallowed. We can't find any contact at all. There might be an angle that shows that, but we're yet to find it. "It was a massive moment in the game to go 3-1 up at that time. It was a decision that's gone against us and we feel a bit hard done by. "These boys don't know how to give up. That's why they've managed to achieve what they've achieved. They believe they can beat anyone in the league. "Come Saturday [against Motherwell at Hampden] these boys will be ready to go again. " FT: Motherwell 2-0 Dundee United Stephen Craigan Former Motherwell captain on BBC Sportsound I'm looking at the match programme notes and Jens Berthel Askou says 'we are building a data-driven principle-based strategic approach to winnning'. Whatever that means, it happened tonight! That's two good results in five days for Motherwell, with a cup semi-final against St Mirren to come. Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: “We can talk about luck. I think you make your own luck in this game. We've played a game of football tonight where we've had the majority of the ball, the majority of chances, majority of corners, all the pressure. “I think what was frustrating for us is we had a lot of the ball in the first half but without really going anywhere, without carving opportunities, we concede a horrendous goal yet again. “We're not able to convert one of our chances. And that's obviously a recipe for losing games. I feel that the worst we should have been walking away for this game was 0-0. "I don't think any of us really could or should take any crumb of comfort. We've lost a game that I don't believe we should have. " The table is certainly very congested. Rangers are one of six teams on three wins from 10 matches. Rangers win two games and back in third. Says a lot about the quality of the league. Simon A hard-earned point in Paisley, a place we always seem to find tough to go to. Hearts of old would have lost that though. I'm never going to complain about being six points clear at the top of the league. Kris Hearts doing great, stay motivated, very unlucky not to have had the win tonight. Dazzer43 FT: St Mirren 2-2 Hearts Hearts head coach Derek Mc Innes tells BBC Scotland: "In terms of chances created, we've hit the woodwork two or three times, I thought we were the better team in between the couple of poor goals we lose. "We know what St Mirren are. They keep their two front men up and try to engage with them as quickly as possible. We're disappointed with the goals we lose, it's the first time we've looked susceptible from set-plays. "Sometimes St Mirren put that pressure on you and you make poor decisions. But by and large I thought we were good in the game. We can't ignore the two goals we lose. "I loved the way the team were at the end. The support stay there at the death because they feel another goal is coming. That's a great feeling to have as a manger, you feel the players are doing everything to get that winning goal. "At no stage did we accept just one point. It's important we win the game Saturday now. If we do, that'll be seen as a decent point. " "If anyone told me at the start of the season that after 10 games we'd be six points clear of Celtic, you'd have grabbed that with both hands. That's where we are. " FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers Michael Stewart Former Hibs midfielder on BBC Sportsound Danny Rohl is just in the door but he was very clear on Hibs being a transitional team. They look to hurt you from turnovers. You could see Rangers were just trying to make themselves difficult to break down. FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "It's tough to take. I don't think it's as if we've been beaten by the better side. We gifted them a goal and didn't really create many chances after that. Did we do enough? Probably not. That was down to a lack of quality from us. "We certainly got into good areas and had the best two chances [in the second half], including missing a penalty, which was a massive moment. "The disappointment is going to sting but there's no time to feel sorry for ourselves. " FT: Kilmarnock 0-1 Aberdeen Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells BBC Scotland: "It was a really important win for us. Also, the way we win the game, we know [Kilmarnock] are good in these situations around the box, how they can overload the box, their set plays, they are a really strong team there. "I'm really proud of the players. Of course, Dylan [Lobban] made his first game today and did super good. A lot of young players now are pushing for game time and when they get the chance, they are ready. "Our supporters travelling down here on a Wednesday night support us in a tough situation. We need that energy and we need them all the time. It was good to give something back today. I think we are in this together. It's not for me or for us, it's for our fans and our club. The belief is still there. "The energy is there every day in the training session, but we have struggled with the rhythm of the game. We have struggled in some parts with individual responsibility in the 50-50 duels, but the players showed they can do it. Now we just need to find the consistency. "We have to have this fighting spirit to take three points and we did it really well today. " FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers Rory Loy Former Rangers striker on BBC Sportsound Rangers' tactical discipline stood out for me. I think Danny Rohl has brought back an understanding of the basic principles of how to defend and how to work as a team. FT: Hibernian 0-1 Rangers Rangers head coach Danny Rohl tells BBC Scotland: "The clean sheet and the win is always fanatstic. It's the first clean sheet in one year [away from home]. To come here and beat a team unbeaten in 16 games [at home in the Premiership] is fantastic. "My team put a lot of things into this game. Great effort and great fighting spirit. All the things you need in football. "I'm very proud of my team today. You hope and cross your fingers that you can save the ball and Jack [Butland] did a fantastic thing for the group. "We needed that moment, at the game we are defending and the players come together. " FT: Celtic 4-0 Falkirk Celtic interim manager Martin O'Neill told BBC Sportsound: "I thought we played very well. "I was concerned before the game, but that's just a trait of mine. That's something to do with my dreadful insecurity problems. "I'm really pleased to win the game in the manner we did, and we played some delightful stuff. Could have scored a couple of more goals, too. "I'm hoping some of the players have played today are old enough to know who I am, some of the younger lads I wouldn't be totally sure. They see this man stepping into the dressing room and think 'what's happening here? '. "I'm delighted, satisfied in the sense I thought we played very well. My anxiety has calmed somewhat, and it was really nice to win. When you get a few goals in front you can perhaps enjoy the last 10 or 15 minutes, and it kind of brought me back. "I've not seen Celtic often, not live, to make criticism of this side. A restoration of confidence was great. " Stuart Armstrong scored the only goal of the game, and his first for Aberdeen At a glance Aberdeen win back to back away games for first time since September 2024 Armstrong gives Aberdeen advantage in first half Deas misses chance then has goal disallowed for offside Kilmarnock v Aberdeen highlights 29/10/25 Aberdeen recorded successive away league wins for the first time since September 2024 to move up to 10th in the Scottish Premiership and level with Kilmarnock. Jimmy Thelin's side had lost their last two - conceding eight goals - but showed admirable resolve to claim a precious win. Greg Kiltie and Jesper Karlsson spurned chances for each side before Stuart Armstrong found the breakthrough for Aberdeen. The Scotland international latched onto Jesper Karlsson's deflected effort and lifted the ball beyond Tobi Oluwayemi for his first goal for the Pittodrie club. Kiltie almost pulled one back for the visitors late on in the first half. Aberdeen failed to clear their lines and the attacker capitalised, forcing Mitov to make the stop. Kilmarnock started the second half brighter and Robbie Deas really should have made it 1-1 but the defender smashed his shot far too high following a corner. Moments later, the centre-back had the ball in the back of the net after Mitov failed to gather a cross but the leveller was ruled out for an offside offence. Marcus Dackers scrambled a late chance wide of the far post as Kilmarnock searched for an equaliser that they just couldn't find. The result leaves Kilmarnock ahead of Aberdeen in the Premiership table on goal difference. There was a lot to like about Aberdeen's first-half performance. They looked like a side with renewed confidence and a desire go play the ball forward. That confidence only grew when Armstrong popped in the opener but, all in all, it was a vastly improved performance from the Aberdeen of late. They were finding ways to cut through Kilmarnock and playing with a swagger that you'd expect from a team who'd been on a winning run, not a team who were searching for a much-needed third victory of the season. Kilmarnock never really looked out of the game, but were found wanting in front of goal – in fact, Aberdeen only had one more shot on target (three to Kilmarnock's two) than the hosts in the first half. Kettlewell's side came out flying in the second half and could have been in front after 50 minutes but again they failed to take their chances. It felt like luck wasn't on Kilmarnock's side. The hosts had nine shots inside the box compared to Aberdeen's two and generated an x G of 1. 45. Kilmarnock put in a much improved second-half performance Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell: "The goal we conceded, it's an instinct. It's making sure that you never give up space inside your penalty box, you play until that ball is dead or until you clear your lines. "I think that is a bit more mentality, about having a bit more desire to defend that space. It disappoints me that Stuart Armstrong gets to the ball first. "I'm never passing the buck to the players but how we solve the goal conceded tonight it's a reaction, it's an instinct to do better. " Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin: "Our supporters travelled down here to support us in a tough situation. It was good to give something back. "I think we are in this together. It's not for me or for us, it's for our fans and our club. The belief is still there. "We have to have this fighting spirit to take three points and we did it really well. " Kilmarnock travel to face Falkirk in the Premiership on Saturday (15: 00 GMT), while Aberdeen have a free weekend before visiting AEK Larnaca in the Conference League on Thursday (17: 45).
