After spending his entire career at the club to date, Alexander-Arnold will leave Liverpool this summer to make the switch to Real Madrid on a free transfer.   Alexander-Arnold was booed by Liverpool fans at Anfield as he came on against Arsenal in his first appearance since confirming he would be joining Real. Liverpool fans also chanted 'There's only one Conor Bradley' in reference to the academy product who started in place of Alexander-Arnold. Despite Bradley's potential, Liverpool are looking to bring in a high-profile right-back this summer to replace Alexander-Arnold. The Reds have identified Frimpong as one of their key targets, with the 24-year-old likely to leave Leverkusen this summer. Frimpong has a release clause of between £29million and £33million (€35million–€40million). The Netherlands international won the league and cup double with Leverkusen last season. He previously won the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and League Cup with Celtic in the 2019-20 campaign. Since joining Leverkusen in 2021, Frimpong has played 190 times for the German club, while he has scored 30 goals and has provided 44 assists.   Although his contract is set to run until 2028 Frimpong could move on, with Anfield his potential destination. If Liverpool are successful in signing Frimpong it is hoped that he would be able to replicate some of the attacking threat provided by Alexander-Arnold. Liverpool have reportedly identified Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong as a key target Frimpong started out at Manchester City's academy before signing for Celtic in 2019. Liverpool are aiming to strengthen their squad this summer as they look to win the Premier League title again.
