The new deal, the same report states, is expected to put him amongst the highest earners at Liverpool. In Four Four Two’s opinion, this is smart business from Liverpool, and perhaps a lesson learned from the past. Last season, all of Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk were allowed to get down to the last months of their deals, presenting a headache in terms of negotiations and plenty of uncertainty at the time. They clearly want to avoid the same happening this time around, and so have moved quickly to avoid any thoughts of a Szoboszlai departure. Szoboszlai is valued at €100m, according to Transfermarkt.
