Liverpool’s Elliott is valued at £40million with a buy-back clause, or £50m without one, as the Reds look to ensure that their academy star is only prised away from the club for a hefty fee. The Hammers also admire Elliott's team-mate Tyler Morton, who has also been a target for Ajax. The potential moves come as West Ham look to bolster their attacking ranks following the £54. 5m sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham. The Hammers are yet to submit a bid for Elliott but appear optimistic that a deal can get over the line. Elliott, 22, played a starring role for England's young Lions last month, netting five goals in six games during their run to the Under-21s European Championships' crown. They are also keeping tabs on Morton, the young midfielder who is also an England U-21 international. He is a product of the Liverpool academy and has had previous loan stints with Blackburn and Hull City.
