Bon Jovi, hit it! Oh, we're halfway there; Oh-oh, livin' on a prayer. What a banger that is, and it certainly rings true this evening. One leg down, one to go. Both Manchester United and Tottenham head into next week knowing they need to win to make it into the semi-finals. United were just seconds away from taking a one-goal lead to Old Trafford after Joshua Zirkzee's later header. It was all but done and dusted. Then Andre Onana came up trumps for Lyon. For the second time on the night, the United stopper proved Nemanja Matic right by fumbling the ball into the path of Rayan Cherki to equalise. It was about as United as United could possibly get this season - and that's saying something. Meanwhile, over in London, Tottenham played out a 1-1 draw with Frankfurt. They gave it a right good go in the hunt to find a winner, but they just couldn't break through. Anyway, I'm now going to bounce. It has been a pleasure, as always, feeding you with all the action this evening. I will see you on the weekend! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about Tottenham, guys. I just think most of the reaction deserved to be directed toward the Manchester United game, seeing what happened late on. But let's quickly talk about the Spurs match. .. It's fair to say Frankfurt's players will go to sleep the more content after that first leg. Yes, Ange Postecoglou's side did come from behind, but against a side like Frankfurt, you have to win at home. The atmosphere in the Waldstadion next week is going to be next level; Tottenham are really going to be on the back foot from minute one. It will take a huge effort to make it through to the semi-finals, but it can be done. I'm itching for the next seven days to fly by, just to see what happens. Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham manager, speaking to TNT Sports: Nathan Salt, Mail Sport: By Chris Wheeler At Groupama Stadium Ruben Amorim, Man United boss, speaking to TNT Sports: On Andre Onana: Look, it's not all bad for Manchester United. I'm pretty sure if you told them they would leave Lyon with a draw ahead of the game, they would have snatched your hand off. To go back to Old Trafford all square is still better for them than Lyon; let's be honest. Even if the Theatre of Dreams isn't what it used to be for them. The result also means they keep their unbeaten streak in Europe this season going, and it's now 11 games. They are the only team across the Champions League and Europa League not to have lost a single game this campaign. Not bad, eh? Leny Yoro, Manchester United goalscorer, on TNT Sports: Izzy Christiansen, former England midfielder, on BBC Radio 5 Live: Being a goalkeeper can be a lonely job, can't it? Look, I know I lambasted Andre Onana at full time, and I stand by the comments that I made. But I then came across this photo, and you can see just how gutted Onana is. This is the reaction of a man who knows he has messed up; if there was a camera on me doing my job, you would see loads of these. At the same time, though, while I empathaise with the Cameroonian, he just hasn't been good enough for United this season. Time is running out for him to turn his career at the club around. It used to be Fergie time; now it's Fonseca time. I really didn't see that equaliser coming, I can't lie. It looked like Manchester United had done the job; I even had my full-time post ready. But nope, just as all hope seemed lost, United found a way to mess up their hard work. Lyon’s equaliser in the 95th minute was the latest goal United have ever conceded in the Europa League. It was Lyon’s second-latest in the competition (94: 30), after February 2017 against AZ (94: 35). James Corden would be proud of that late show. .. get it? I hope so. If Andre Onana is reading this (which he won't be), then look away. I mean, I have probably already angered the keeper with the way I have just some at him. I think it was warranted, though. Or was I harsh? You can make your mind up after watching his mistake for the equaliser here. Robbie Savage, former Leicester midfielder, on TNT Sports: Honestly, you just couldn't write it. One error is bad enough after all that was said in the build-up, but two? That's just ridiculous. Georges Mikautadze was straight at the Cameroonian; he could have easily just collected it and fallen on to the floor. But nope, that's not what he does. Instead, Onana spille dit right into the path of Rayan Cherki to level in the final minute. Maybe Nemanja Matic was being nice by calling Onana 'one of' the worst keepers in United history. After that performance, surely he can be No. 1 for no longer. .. What a final few minutes that was, eh? Joshua Zirkzee's late header had Manchester United heading back to Old Trafford with a lead to defend. But then Andre Onana said 'Hold my beer', and proved Nemanja Matic to be right yet again. The goalkeeper's second error of the game allowed Rayan Cherki to net right at the death for Lyon. All to play for next week. RIGHT AT THE DEATH! Rayan Cherki saves the day for Lyon in the final minute of stoppage time. Wowzers. The main man for Lyon pounces on another error for Andre Onana to tap home from three yards out. Just what Lyon needed, right when they needed it. It's all Manchester United now. They aren't letting up, United want to find a third to give themselves a cushion heading to Old Trafford. Can they find it? Manchester United have five minutes more to hold on. Or could they get another? The visitors have the bit between their teeth here as we enter stoppage time. The first leg ends all square. Tottenham huffed and they puffed, but they just couldn't find that all-important second goal. It's not a terrible result, but you just feel that Frankfurt now have that advantage heading into the second leg. This tie is far from over, mind. JOSHUA ZIRKZEE HAS SURELY WON IT! The super sub is at it again in the Europa League, and he silenexces the Lyon fans right at the death. Bruno Fernandes clips in a brilliant ball to the back post, and Zirkzee nods the ball over Lucas Perri and into the net. That is a massive goal in this tie. WOW. Was that the chance? Alexandre Lacazeete picks up the ball in oceans of space just inside the box; he has all the time in the world to pick his spot. You can then hear groans from all four stands as the French striker doesn't even hit the target after pulling the trigger. A really poor finish, that. Why does Ruvben Amorim always seem to take off a defender? He seems to do it every game, and this time Harry Maguire is hooked for Victor Lindelof. A strange substitution, I have to say. Kobbie Mainoo makes his return, though, as he comes on for Alejandro Garnacho for these final minutes. Tottenham just can't find a winner here. They are hammering at the Frankfurt door but just can't find that breakthrough; it's a bit mental at this point. This time, Dominic Solanke races down the right and drives a low ball into the box, but it's cut out by the goalkeeper. It seems like this one is destined for a draw. That's a massive save from Lucas Perri! Bruno Fernandes whips in a pearler of a cross, and Alejandro Garnacho gets on the end of it. The Argentine fires the ball toward goal from close range, but Lucas Perri reacts brilliantly to deny him. Casemiro then gets on the end of a corner and gets his noggin on the ball, but his header goes wide. Two huge chances, but both go begging. Ohhh, it really is getting TASTY. The handbags are out, and the two sets of players are starting to go at it. We love a bit of needle. Nicolas Tagliafico comes flying in on Mason Mount, and the midfielder reacts with a push, which kicks off a melee. Eventually, after it's all cooled down, Mount receives a booking. If Manchester United hold on here, it would be huge. Just as I start typing that, though, Rayan Cherki causes some chaos in the area, but United do survive. This one is getting tasty now; it really is heating up. Time for another Manchester United change. Ruben Amorim is really going for it now as Manuel Ugarte is hooked for Mason Mount. That's an attacking chance, if I have ever seen one. Ohhh, what is that? ? Alejandro Garnacho wastes a promising break after a brilliant block at the back from Noussair Mazraoui sets him on his way. United are three against two. Bruno Fernandes and Joshua Zirkzee are with Garnacho, and you just think a goal is coming. Garnacho cuts inside, but his ball is so, so, so poor. It's behind Fernandes, and the chance goes begging. His end product really can be rubbish sometimes. Garnacho should have passed to Zirkze, who made a lovely little run down the right. Georges Mikautadze is so dangerous whenever he pops up with the ball at his feet. The Georgian yet again causes chaos amongst the Manchester United backline, but he can't get a clean effort on goal form the left. I just have an inclination that he is going to score at some point, though. .. Watch it be an own goal or something. That would be my classic curse in full effect. Is that Conentin Tolisso or Shakira? The Frenchman's hips certainly don't lie as he shimmies past Noussair Mazraoui like the Colombian queen. But his end product is not quite as stylish as the ball ends up in the gloves of Andre Onana. Mazraoui is lucky that didn't go in; he was embarrassed there. Ruben Amorim turns to the bench. Rasmus Hojlund has struggled yet again in front of goal and his boss has seen enough. Now it's Joshua Zirkzee's chance to show what he has got in his locker - will he take it? Manchester United are struggling to get out of their own half here. Lyon are putting all the pressure on, and even Bruno Fernandes resorts to hoffing the ball clear. But in classic Fernandes style, he somehow manages to find Alejandro Garnacho with his clearance. Intentional? I don't think so. United suddenly then flood forward, and even Leny Yoro decides to get up the pitch. Interesting move. The defender is obviously confident after this header and decides to have a pop from distance. It's fair to say, the effort isn't great. .. And that is why you can't count Frankfurt out. It has been all Tottenham this half, but in a flash, the visitors nearly take the lead again. Hugo Ekitike does some brilliant work on the counter to help get Frankfurt on their way. The ball eventually makes its way to Jean-Mattéo Bahoya, but he squirts his effort over the bar. That's what you call a warning shot. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. .. Alexander Lacazette came on just minutes ago, and he nearly makes an instant impact. Georges Mikautadze produces a lovely bit of skill down the left before finding the Frenchman, and he is in the perfect position to score. But the ex-Arsenal man has a real stinker and fires the ball miles wide; he has to do better there. A let-off for the visitors. You have got to be kidding me. .. I'm not quite sure how Tottenham are not ahead here. This is getting a little silly. Now Rodrigo Bentancur hits the bar from the resulting corner. I can't quite believe it. The ball just won't go in. Take a bow, Kaua Santos. Son Heung-Min pings a pearler toward the top corner, and you just expect it to go in. But nope, the Brazilian shot-stopper leaps across at full-stretch and tips the ball over the bar. That is some save. Oh. My. Word. I can't quite believe that Lucas Bergvall has not scored there. What an effort from the young lad. He produces a great turn and then lets fly of a storming effort which smashes against the upright. I thought that as going in, I really did. Where are you Rasmus Hojlund? ?? The Dane is nowhere to be seen as Manuel Ugarte pulls back an inviting ball into the middle of the box. You just expect him, or somebody, to run onto the ball, but nobody does. That's a huge chance wasted. Like ABBA sang, here we go again. .. There have been no changes at the break from either Paulo Fonseca or Ruben Amorim. And just like that, we are underway again. Jeez, that break flew by. .. Over in London, Tottenham and Frankfurt players are back out on the turf and ready to go again. How will this second half go? Paul Scholes, former Man United midfielder, on TNT Sports: Want to see the Andre Onana error? Look, In know that Manchester United are now level, but I simply can't avoid showing it. How he doesn't react quicker and just palm the free-kick away, I will never know. It's another one to add to the catalogue. It was just always going to happen. We simply have to start with Andre Onana and his error for the first goal. Nemanja Matic was right all along, it seems. Since the start of last season, no goalkeeper has made more errors leading to goals for Premier League clubs in all competitions than United's Onana. That's a pretty telling stat, isn't it? I mean, after Matic's shade, the way Onana let that free-kick through his gloves was just pure cinema. I am here for the drama, as always. And that is the last action of the half. .. Lyon get the game back underway, but the referee blows straight away to signal half-time. Manchester United were seemingly heading into the break behind after Andre Onana's error gifted Lyon the lead. But moments before the break, Leny Yoro headed the visitors level brilliantly. Game on in France. WHAT A TIME TO EQUALISE! Leny Yoro nets his first-ever Manchester United goal right on the stroke of half-time. Bruno Fernandes' free-kick is beaten out, but Manuel Ugarte volleys the ball back in the mixer. Yoro is alert, and he instinctively heads the volley into the far corner to level this game up. The perfect time to score. .. What. A. Waste. Georges Mikautadze is away, Lyon are two-on-one, and you just think it's curtains for Man United. But the Georgian neither passes or shoots asd he makes his way into the box, and Noussair Mazraoui does brilliantly to pinch the ball off of him at the crucial moment. That should be 2-0, though; it really should. Level at the break. Just seconds before the whistle, Hugo Ekitike finally decided to get involved in the action again. He did well in the box, fashioned some sopave, and had a pop. However, his low drive was stopped by Vicario. Ekitike then walks down the tunnel with his head in his hands. That would have been the perfect time to score. But well, he didn't, and we are still all square. Jeez, that's a terrible free-kick. You'd have thought Thiago Almada would be full of confidence after his goal, right? Well, for the second time tonight, he nearly sends the ball out of the stadium. He needs to work on his shooting. .. Manchester United just haven't got going again since falling behind. Before the goal, they were actually creating OEM decent chances and were arguably the more threatening side. Well, that's not the case anymore. This game is now in a bit of a lull, neither side is doing much. Frankly, it's boring. Rasmus Hojlund just looks so downbeat. The camera has just panned to him plodding about and he does not look like a happy bloke. He's not angry; just seems down. Poor lad. Tottenham are really on top now. Other than his goal, Hugo Ekitike has barely been given the chance to get into the game. This is the best I have seen Spurs play in a long time, but I guess that doesn't say too much. Honestly, though, they are playing well. By Chris Wheeler At Groupama Stadium Rasmus Hojlund just never looks like he is going to score. The Dane is pinged through, but you never think for a single second that the ball will end up in the net. Of course, it doesn't. Hojlund slips as he takes the shot and the ball ends up in the gloves of Lucas Perri. Manchester United are well and truly rattled. Their heads are all over the gaff, and now Diogo Dalot has been booked for a terrible challenge. He shows his frustration and cleans out Nicolas Tagliafico - never getting away with that. It's all Lyon now, they are battering this Man United side. Thiago Almada is at it again nd tries to beat Andre Onana with a low drive. This time, though, Onana actually does his job and keeps it out of the net. Of course, he had to make that mistake, eh? Tottenham are level! Pedro Porro produces a cheeky little backheel flick to pull his team back into the game. A lovely little finish from the Spaniard , and is exactly what Tottenham deserve. Game on! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. .. After all the talk before the game, Andre Onana drops an absolute clanger to gift Lyon the lead. It was just always going to happen, wasn't it? Thiago Alamada sees a free-kick go past everybody and through the poppadom gloves of Onana and into the net. How he hasn't saved that, I will never know. Ooooft, that's so close! Alejandro Garnacho does brilliantly down the right and pulls the ball back invitingly for Bruno Fernandes. You know exactly what he is going to do, and he does it. The Portuguese midfielder goes for goal first time, and his effort is heading in. But just as the ball heads for the corner, Moussa Niakhate gets in the way of it and deflects it over the bar. That's a massive intervention; it really is. If I were the International Space Station, I would be on red alert! Why is that? Well, Thiago Almada has just blasted the ball on its way to the moon on the half-volley. It comes the Argentine's way from a corner, and his eyes light up on the deg of the box. But it's a terrible effort; it really is. Oh, Rasmus Hojlund. .. you have to do better there. The Dane's eyes light up as Patrick Dorgu pulls the ball back and lays it on a plate for him. Most strikers would bury the ball into the back of the net, but not this one. Hojlund fires well wide. And that is why people don't think he will succeed at this club. Nathan Salt, Mail Sport: Man, this Mikautadze lad really is a live wire. Everything that Lyon do seems to go through the Georgian striker. I really like the look of him. That early Man United pressure has completely dissipated now; it's all Lyon as I type this. The visitors just have to ride out this spell. More boos for Andre Onana. The Cameroonian seems like he wants to be booed as he waits an age to take a goal kick. It seems like the Lyon fans are jeering him for ages before he eventually takes it. Mikautadze then causes a bit of worry down the left as he clips in a teasing ball, but Onana deals with it. Lyon are starting to build a bit of momentum. Frankfurt are a lovely little team, my word. They are playing some neat stuff to get through Tottenham, and the hosts are struggling. Also, I'm not surprised Liverpool are after Hugo Ekitike; he seems like a right baller. Manchester United have started rather brightly here, I have to say. They are pressing well and driving forward at every possible opportunity, which is a good sign. It doesn't mean much, though. I said this about Tottenham, and moments later, they conceded. I always curse teams, for some reason. .. Wow. That is a stunner. I think I have just heard a cheer from the red half of Merseyside as Hugo Ekitike bends a beauty in to open the scoring here. The striker, who has been linked with Liverpool recently, silences the Totgenham Hotspur Stadium as he picks up the ball miles out, drives forward, and buries the ball into the bottom corner. The worst possible start for Spurs. Nathan Salt, Mail Sport: Tottenham have started well here. The fans are really behind them, the atmosphere is near deafening from the home fans, I have to say. If they score early, this place is going to go absolutely bonkers. Well, that is exactly what we were expecting. Andre Onana's first tough of the ball is greeted by a chrous of boos from behind his goal. I have a sneaky feeling he won't be bothered, though. If anything, he might actually like it. If that were me, I would feed off of it. I love being hated. I say that, but please don't send me a bunch of emails with mean stuff in them. It's not an invite. Right then, the time for talking is over. Both of our feature games are now underway in Lyon and London, so strap yourselves in. It's going to be a wild ride, we hope anyway. Paul Scholes, former Man United midfielder, on TNT Sports: Right then, how are we all feeling? Kick-off is nearly upon us; the players have completed their warm-ups and will be in the tunnel any moment now. I, for one, am buzzing. The atmosphere inside that stadium is absolutely electric. Sadly, though, United are rarely involved in crackers these days. Erm. .. maybe I was wrong. The last video made it look like the ground was empty. Well, I was a naughty boy and didn't watch it until the end. It turns out the Lyon Ultras have filled out one end behind the goal, and that is why it's so loud. A lesson in watching a video all the way until the end. I won't be making that mistake again. I say that, but I definitely will at some point. My word, this is pretty impressive. There seems to be barely any Lyon fans in the stadium, but they are making a lot of noise in there. Honestly, the racket they are producing makes it sound like the stadium is full. All you can say is, fair play. It's going to be an intimidating arena to play in for United. Yes. .. I am writing about Andre Onana again. I mean, he is the talk of the town at the moment after that spat yesterday - you can't blame me. The goalkeeper is out warming up at the moment, and it just looks like he has that glint in his eye. I reckon Nemanja Matic's comments will have fired something up in his belly; just look at the swagger he has out there. Watch him drop an all-time performance now. How crazy would that be? Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham boss, on TNT Sports: Frankfurt just adore the Europa League. They are slowly becoming like the Sevilla, well, sort of. .. They just always seem to go far in the competition. I mean, they won the whole thing just three seasons ago, beating Rangers in the final on penalties. I'm pretty sure we all remember that game, don't we? Anyway, ever since they have seemed almost unbeatable in this competition. Frankfurt have lost just two of their last 23 matches in the Europa League, winning 14 of them. They have won seven games this season. In only one major European season have they won more times, winning nine games in 2018-19. If I were a Tottenham fan, I would be worried. It's not all doom and gloom for Manchester United right now. While they are rarely the favourites these days, there is reason to be confident heading into this game. Why is that, I hear you ask? Well, I'll tell you why. United have never lost to Lyon in their four encounters with the French side in Europe. The Red Devils also haven’t lost the first leg of any of their last 11 major knockout ties, since a 1-0 home defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League in 2019. Each of their last three away first-leg matches have been drawn. So, yeah, all the omens seem to be good ones for United heading into this one. Can they continue this good run in Europe? Paulo Fonseca, Lyon boss, speaking on his ban: By Chris Wheeler At Groupama Stadium Nemanja Matic's comments don't seem to have affected Andre Onana, eh? Just look at him, the goalkeeper is beaming from ear to ear as he swans about the Lyon turf. He has the look of a man that is in high spirits and is ready to prove a point tonight. Or maybe he is just vibing to a banging tune. .. who knows? Now, this is one of the maddest stories in modern football. Lyon's boss, Paulo Fonseca, has had the maddest possible start to his tenure at the French side. I'm not kidding; the story I am about to tell you is crazy. Last month, just five games into his reign, Fonseca was handed an unprecedented five-month ban for going head-to-head with referee Benoit Millot during his team's 2-1 league win over Brest. That's right, a NINE-month ban. I mean, he almost did an Alan Pardew and headbutted the man, but the length of the suspension is utterly mental. He is now not allowed any communication with his players or staff as soon as they enter the stadium on game day in French domestic competition. He basically can't do his job. Fonseca usually watches helplessly from the stands with no way of speaking to his colleagues. It's something we haven't seen before. That will not be the case tonight, though. His ban does not extend to UEFA competition, so he will be on the touchline for the meeting with United. I bet he can't wait! By Chris Wheeler At Groupama Stadium Why, Paulo Fonseca, why? After all of the drama yesterday, the Lyon boss has just messed up the perfect storyline by benching Nemanja Matic. I am still holding out for an interaction between the former United man and Andre Onana, but it is less likely now. Hopefully, Matic comes on at some point. As the French sides always seem to do, Lyon are taking an age to release their team graphic. So, just like I did last night, I am releasing the team news without it. Former Arsenal star Ainsley Matland-Niles starts, but there is no room in the side for Nemanja Matic. What a shame, eh? Lyon starting XI: Perri; Maitland-Niles, Mata, Niakhate, Tagliafico; Tolisso, Akoujou, Veretout; Cherki, Mikautadze, Almada. Liverpool fans, are you watching? Hugo Ekitike, who has been linked with a move to the Reds, starts up top for Frankfurt this evening. I'm sure many on Merseyside will be keeping a close eye on how he fares against Premier League opposition. Meanwhile, you may notice that a certain Mario Gotze is also playing. .. Ange Postecoglou makes just one change from the weekend. Djed Spence is the only casualty from the side that beat Southampton with Destiny Udodigie coming in to replace him. Brennan Johnson keeps his spot after impressing against the Saints, while James Maddison has also done enough. Well, then, there you go. .. Kobbie Mainoo returns, but he is only fit enough to make the bench this time around. The biggest news, though, is that Ruben Amorim has actually named an unchanged side. I can't believe it; he rarely does that! Man United fans, you have reason to be cheerful. It has been over two months since you have watched your much-loved star boy, Kobbie Mainoo, in action. He has been on the sidelines through injury since February 7. Well, no longer. Mainoo has travelled with the United squad, and it seems likely he will be involved in some sort of capacity tonight. I suspect he will start on the bench, but we will have to wait and see. Now, this does not look like a man under pressure. Ange Postecoglou has swanned into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in high spirits. Just look, he has even managed a smile. It's not usual for us to see him like this these days. Does he know something we don't? It's a subject we simply have to discuss, come on. This is the first time I am reporting on Tottenham since their defeat at Stamford Bridge. Boy, was that a messy night. Look, we all know what happened. Spurs fans had been on Ange Postecoglou's back after he chose to substitute Lucas Bergvall for Pape Matar Sarr in the second half. And for good reason, Tottenham has been stinking the gaff at before the change, with Bergvall the only player putting in a decent shift. Sarr then went on to score, or so he thought, and Postecoglou cupped his ears in an antagonising way toward his own fans before waving at them. He can try to claim it was to get them going, but I am not buying it. The fact that Postexcoglou woke up the next morning as Spurs' boss rather surprised me. Once your relationship with the fans turns sour like it seemingly did, it's usually the last straw. But nope, one week later, here he is. I'm pretty sure the win against Southampton hasn't done anything to raise his popularity at the club, but I reckon a win tonight might just do. It feels like a huge tie for Postecoglou. If they battle their way through this, he may just have a future at the club. That's a big 'if', mind. Want more Andre Onana content? I mean, it was such a crazy comment from Nemanja Matic that there has been a major fallout from it. One of my colleagues, Luke Augustus, has done a deep dive into Matic's comments and whether they are actually accurate. It's fair to say that while he is not Onana's biggest fan, Luke certainly doesn't see the Cameroonian in the category as one of United's worst shot-stoppers. Want to read what he said? Well, look no further and just click below. Read more: Yikes, this feels like a nasty question. .. I'm not here to be the nice guy, though. It's my job to talk about the topics that are most relevant, and well, this is one of those topics. Nemanja Matic's harsh comments has got people talking - a debate has ensued over the past 24 hours. Is Andre Onana actually the worst goalkeeper in Manchester United's modern history? Matic thinks he is up there, but is he right? I mean, United have had some stinkers over the years; let's be real. Massimo Taibi is one that comes to mind. My word, he seemed to have stinkers week upon week. The mistake from Matt Le Tissier's strike springs to mind straight away; I will never forget that. Then there is the likes of Roy Carroll - he wasn't great. We all know what his United career is remembered for. That's right, his error leading to Pedro Mendes' goal that was never given. So, what do you think? Is Onana the worst, or just 'one of' the worst? We simply have to talk about what happened yesterday, don't we? I'm pretty sure we were all taken aback when Nemanja Matic just decided to launch an attack on Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana. Meantal doesn't quite cover it. I have never seen anything like it during my time covering press conferences. I am only 24, but still. .. Previously, Onana had stated, 'I think we are way better than them, ' ahead of United's match with Lyon. It's fair to say that Matic didn't take to those comments very well. The former United midfielder lashed back out at the shot-stopper and didn't mince his words, calling Onana 'statistically one of the worst goalkeepers in Manchester United's modern history'. Pretty harsh; am I right? It then led to the keeper responding via social media and now this run-of-the-mill quarter-final has an added bit of spice to it. I can't wait to see the first interaction between the pair of them in person. Will words be exchanged? Will there be handbags? I'm just itching to watch it. I, for one, am here for the drama. Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham boss, speaking on Wednesday: Where to start with Spurs, eh? I'm pretty sure this is the most negative atmosphere there has been around the club in the past decade, maybe even this century. There is almost zero optimism among the Tottenham fanbase. All the talk has been about the club's trophy draught, as per usual, but they are arguably as far away from winning silverware as they have ever been. This team is so bad. Saying that, they are in the quarter-final of the Europa League and are five games from glory. Could they actually do the unthinkable and win this thing? If they somehow do, they are going to have one hell of a tough task doing it. The journey in Europe continues tonight against a very exciting and youthful Frankfurt side, who are the third in the Bundesliga. This is the biggest game of Tottenham's season by an absolute mile. Hell, maybe even in the last 15 years. It's massive. Can they finally give their fans something to cheer about? Ruben Amorim, Manchester United boss, speaking on Wednesday: I have honestly lost count at how many times I have written about this. Look, let's not beat around the bush. Manchester United's season domestically is over, finished, finito. They are just playing for pride in the Premier League. They are down in 13th, and even if they win their last seven games, I doubt they will even get close to qualifying for Europe. Oh yeah, and they have been knocked out of all domestic competition. Their form has just put the importance of tonight's clash with Lyon through the roof. It's do or die for United. The Europa League is United's last chance of silverware this season, which means it's the last chance to try and salvage any dignity. Whether triumphing in this competition will even save their season or not, they might as well try and win a bit of silverware. Everybody loves a bit of silverware and a cheeky parade, don't they? Obviously, we can't get ahead of ourselves. Lyon have been flying recently and are not a team that should be taken lightly. This will be a real battle. You feel United have to walk away with at least a draw here. .. Right, before we get tucked into tonight's mouth-watering action, let's look at the main courses we have on offer. Just a cheeky spoiler: they are as tasty as a roast dinner on a Sunday. So yes, scrumptious. Here is the menu: What another great night of footie, eh? On Tuesday, it was Arsenal who blew our socks off. Well, last night it was PSG, but this was a lot less of a shock. I'm pretty confident that Aston Villa didn't expect to come top Paris and leave with a win; they knew they were in for a tough night this evening. Well, a tough night is what they got. Morgan Rogers did open the scoring for the Villans against the run of play after a lovely counter-attack, but it was all downhill from there. It didn't take long for Desire Doue to equalise, and my word, what a goal it was. Doue did the Declan, just from open play. Then it was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's turn to do something special. Just minutes into the second half, he sent Axel Disasi for a hot dog before smashing in a second for the hosts. The one-way traffic continued into stoppage time, but it seemed like Villa would escape with just the one-goal deficit, which would have been massive for them after the way the game had gone. But they just couldn't see it out until the final whistle as Nuno Mendes added a deserved third with just one minute left in injury time. It was brutal but brilliant. Now Aston Villa have a mountain to climb next week at Villa Park, so they better bring their harnesses. Elsewhere, Barcelona demolished Borussia Dortmund 4-0 at home to practically seal their place in the semi-finals at the expense of last year's finalists after just one leg. Got all of that? Well, if you haven't, then tough luck. It's now time for us to tackle the Europa League action ahead of us tonight. Oh yeah, tonight is a biggie, a real biggie. After back-to-back days of drama in the Champions League, it's time for the Europa League to provide us with the entertainment that always comes with European tournament knockout stages. The Premier League clubs left in Europe have had a mixed bag so far this week, and now it's the turn of both Manchester United and Tottenham. As you all know, the pair of them have had pretty rancid seasons domestically, and I think that's me being kind. This is their last chance for silverware. Europa League or bust. United travel to Lyon where an unlikely spiciness has brewed ahead of the tie. If you know, you know. Don't worry if you don't; I will explain why in a short while. Meanwhile, Tottenham host German side Eintracht Frankfurt with Ange Postecoglou's job seemingly on the line. If he gets knocked out of these quarter-finals, it's hard to see how he stays in north London. So, now do you see why I called it a biggie? Get yourselves locked in; we all need to bed in for another night of drama and emotion. I'm excited, aren't you? Let's get cracking! Matic was right. The most arrogant and ignorant gk. ..
