United huffed and puffed on what felt like a very flat occasion as Ruben Amorim made five changes.   Rasmus Hojlund was guilty of missing two golden opportunities while Bruno Fernandes, who started this one from the bench, fluffed two great chances by his standards.   Mail Sport's NATHAN SALT was at Old Trafford to run the rule over Amorim's charges. ..   Ruben Amorim saw his side condemned to another defeat as Wolves won at Old Trafford Andre Onana - 6 Was given a watching brief with just on off target shot from Nelson Semedo the only thing that came in his direction in the first half. So, naturally, he was beaten by the first shot on target as Pablo Sarabia came off the bench to produce a quite stunning free-kick. Noussair Mazraoui - 6. 5 Made a number of key plays and was decisive in his duels to nip Wolves attacks in the bud before they could even get started. Had very, very little to do in truth. Victor Lindelof - 6 Was handed the captain’s armband with Bruno Fernandes dropping down to the bench in the Premier League for the first time since 2022. Was trying to coach the two either side of him through the game. Taken off after the Wolves goal in place of Leny Yoro. Tyler Fredricson - 7 Rewarded by Ruben Amorim with his senior debut in the Premier League as part of a post-Lyon reshuffle. The 20-year-old was composed in possession - he made the most passes of any player on the pitch in the first half - and looked like he’d done this ten times over. Very assured display - even in a losing effort. Tyler Fredricson, 20, was a bright spot as he looked composed on his senior United debut Patrick Dorgu - 6 Switched to right wing-back - just as it was for his first appearance in a United shirt - and he looked much more relaxed than he did on Thursday night. Was unable to offer much going forward but kept Wolves’ star man Matheus Cunha quiet which is no mean feat. Booked. Manuel Ugarte - 7 One of his more confident displays in a United shirt. Combative and firm in the tackle, it felt like he dictated the midfield battle before he was withdrawn. Showed the kind of leadership Ruben Amorim is seeking given he was surrounded by younger players. Christian Eriksen - 5. 5 His influence on the game was restricted to a couple of set-pieces, with one of them forcing Dan Bentley into a fingertip save over the bar. Felt like the game passed him by for stretches. Gave away the free-kick on the edge of the box that Wolves scored from. Booked. Harry Amass - 7. 5 Stood out among the rest on his first senior start at Old Trafford. His technique has never been in question but there were concerns about his physicality and he showed why a lot of that talk is overblown here. Was fearless going forward and was up for the fight defensively. MOTM for United. Harry Amass, 18, put in the most positive United performance on the day from left wing-back Alejandro Garnacho - 6. 5 Found himself in the wars but shows his warrior-like trait by shaking off some really poor challenges on him from Wolves. Made some really assertive runs down the left and deserved an assist or two if his team-mates had been more clinical. Kobbie Mainoo - 6 Amorim prefers him in a more advanced role and he almost gave everyone a sense of deja vu when he was inches away from finding the same corner of the net he did in that epic comeback versus Lyon. This was a positive hour in the legs as he continues his comeback from injury. Rasmus Hojlund - 5 Drew the ire of more than 70, 000 when he was racing through on goal after a neat nutmeg on Emmanuel Agbadou, only to not see an unmarked Kobbie Mainoo at the back post. Was then wincing at himself when he missed a tap-in at the back post after a brilliant ball in by Garnacho. Feels like he can’t buy a goal here at Old Trafford as his four-month drought here goes on. MANAGER: Ruben Amorim - 5 He said himself that this season hinges totally on the Europa League now, which is true. But even so, falling to a 15th Premier League defeat will sting and this was a display where they gave up one shot on target and conceded it.   Rasmus Hojlund missed two gilt-edged chances to end his four-month drought here at home Bruno Fernandes (for Manuel Ugarte, 59) - 5 Mason Mount (for Kobbie Mainoo, 59) - 6 Diogo Dalot (for Patrick Dorgu, 59) - 6 Chido Obi (for Rasmus Hojlund, 70) - 5 Leny Yoro (for Victor Lindelof, 79)  Wolves XI: Bentley 6. 5; Bueno 6, Agbadou 5. 5, T Gomes 7; Semedo 6. 5 (R Gomes 74, 6), Andre 7, J Gomes 6, Ait-Nouri 6; Munetsi 6, Cunha 6. 5 (Djiga 90+4); Larsen 5. 5 (Sarabia 74, 7)
