The defender has been admired by scouts at City for over 12 months as they looked for reinforcements to their back line. Ait-Nouri is now deemed to have enough Premier League experience under his belt to make the move following an impressive campaign at Molineux. The 23-year-old scored five goals in 41 appearances last season bringing his total at Wolves to 12 goals in 157 games. He has also provided 19 assists since moving to Molineux in 2020. His former club Angers negotiated a 50 per cent sell-on clause but that will be bought out by Wolves for £9. 7m before the deal is complete.
