By DANIEL DAVIS and CHRIS WHEELER AT OLD TRAFFORD and NATHAN SALT AT OLD TRAFFORD and TOM COLLOMOSSE AT THE CITY GROUND and DAVID COVERDALE AT THE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR STADIUM Published: 21: 30 AEST, 11 May 2025 | Updated: 00: 01 AEST, 12 May 2025 33 View comments Follow Mail Sport's live blog for the latest score, team news and updates as Manchester United welcome West Ham to Old Trafford in the Premier League.   By Dan Davis Spurs' goal has been peppered in this first half. Eberechi Eze picked up a loose ball inside Spurs' half before striding forward, cutting inside and cracking an effort at goal. It took a wicked deflection and looped just wide of the target. By Dan Davis Heart in mouth moment for United after Rasmus Hojlund went down holding his shoulder following a pretty innocuous challenge. He received some treatment and is OK to carry on. By Dan Davis Frustration is creeping in among the Spurs supporters. Their side have been miles off the pace and Palace should be two or three goals up. Rodrigo Bentancur went into the book after fouling Ismaila Sarr. By Dan Davis Couple of bites at the cherry for Rasmus Hojlund. Rasmus Hojlund picked up the ball with his back to goal around 20 yards out and let fly on the turn. Miles over the top. Then, a couple of minutes later, Alphonse Areola was caught in no-mans land after United pumped a ball over the top. Hojlund got there first but rushed his effort, which bobbled wide. Poor. By David Coverdale At The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium By Dan Davis Palace are absolutely dominant but just can't find the breakthrough. Ismaila Sarr guided a header straight at the goalkeeper while Daniel Munoz ridiculously went for goal instead of squaring the ball. Spurs are asleep at the wheel currently. By Dan Davis West Ham are having the better of this game now. Mohammed Kudus glided neatly into space around 25 yards from goal and tried his luck, but his effort from distance whistled over the top. United need to wake up. By Dan Davis Spurs can't touch Daniel Munoz at the moment. The full back marauded down the right flank and was slipped into the box but Jean-Philippe Mateta. He then went it alone and let fly, with his effort thumping off the bar. I think it's still rattling. By Dan Davis A familiar and miserable tale for United. West Ham did superbly to piece together a move starting inside their own half, before the ball was moved out to Aaron Wan-Bissaka. He then played down the line for Mohammed Kudus and his low cross found Tomas Soucek, who bundled in from close range. The midfielder managed to get goal side ahead of Harry Amass. By Dan Davis WOW! Top save from Antonin Kinsky to keep Spurs on level terms. A corner was headed back across goal for Jean-Philippe Mateta and his effort from point-blank range was kept out. By Dan Davis Morgan Gibbs-White comes to Forest's rescue. They needed that. The top-five chasing hosts won a free-kick in a promising position and Anthony Elanga clipped the ball in toward the unmarked Gibbs-White. His header looped up and into the net. Superb. By Dan Davis It's all very pedestrian from United at the moment. There are early signs of frustration creeping in around the ground. They need a spark to liven them up. By David Coverdale At The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium By Dan Davis Oh dear. That isn't good for Spurs. Dejan Kulusevski needed treatment after a strong challenge from Marc Guehi and didn't look comfortable as he tried to run it off. He's been replaced by Mikey Moore. Not ideal just days out from the Europa League final. By Dan Davis Spurs have been pretty sloppy in these early exchanges. Tyrick Mitchell got some chalk on his boots out on the left and he swung in a good ball toward Daniel Munoz. The full back hooked a volley toward goal and Antonin Kinsky spilled before jumping on the rebound at the second time of asking. By Dan Davis That's a HUGE goal in the Champions League race. A long throw from Luke Thomas was only half-cleared to Bilal El Khannouss and his effort forced Matz Sels into action. The goalkeeper could only parry back out into the danger zone and Conor Coady showed striker-like instincts to touch home. That will be a sickener for Nuno Espirito Santo. By David Coverdale At The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium By Dan Davis That was certainly Ruben Amorim's system in action. Mason Mount picked up the ball on the half turn before arching an inch-perfect cross-field pass to Amad Diallo on the far side. He took on his man before dancing inside and letting fly, but his bending effort was parried away by Alphonse Areola. Bruno Fernandes then thrashed the rebound over. By Dan Davis Palace absolutely cut their way through Spurs and looked to have taken the lead through Ismaila Sarr. Sarr tucked home Daniel Munoz's low cross from close range but the goal was ruled out after Jean-Philippe Mateta was caught offside. It was a tight one - but the right decision. Let off for Spurs. By Dan Davis James Ward-Prowse sent in a devilish free-kick but Max Kilman could only head over the top. Altay Bayindir thought about coming to punch. Not the greatest defending in the world. By Dan Davis It's been a much more pedestrian start at Old Trafford. United carved out the first chance after Amad Diallo did well to tee up Bruno Fernandes, but the captain could only fire off target. By Dan Davis I'm not sure how Forest aren't ahead, let alone two goals up. Anthony Elanga got to the byline and fired a cross in to the back post. Chris Wood got there but couldn't keep his effort down. By Dan Davis Very nice. A cheeky flick around the corner from Ismaila Sarr released Daniel Munoz and he found Tyrick Mitchell at the back post. Spurs did just enough to hold their ground before Antonin Kinsky, in ahead of Guglielmo Vicario, pounced on the ball. By Dan Davis Spurs were also quick out of the blocks. Pedro Porro got to the byline before his cross was touched behind by Marc Guehi. Daniel Munoz then cleared the corner. By Dan Davis Ooooo. Good start for Forest, who should be ahead. Anthony Elanga delivered into the penalty area and Chris Wood (who else? ) got there, but his effort was diverted over the crossbar. Very unlike him, that. By Dan Davis PEEEEEEEP! Off we go at Old Trafford! Can United finally pick up a Premier League win? Let's find out. By Dan Davis The players have emerged into the sunshine around the grounds. Let's get this show on the road. By Dan Davis The final whistle has blown at St James' Park and Newcastle have beaten Chelsea 2-0 to all but wrap up a spot in the top five. This is a real opportunity for Forest now. A win would take Nuno Espirito Santo's side fifth, one point above Chelsea and Aston Villa. My word, it's hotting up. Chelsea have two fixtures to go - Manchester United and, fittingly, Forest. This race will surely go down to the final day. By Dan Davis We're just 15 minutes away from kick-off around the grounds. Are you lucky enough to be at a game this afternoon? Lucky you! Let us know where you are. It's a gorgeous day for some football. Let's hope for plenty of goals. By David Coverdale At The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium By Dan Davis Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to Sky: By Dan Davis Alan Shearer has given his verdict on United's game, via Betfair. Here's what he had to say. .. By Dan Davis It's fair to say Sir Jim Ratcliffe's latest cost-cutting measure at Manchester United has gone down like a lead balloon. As Mail Sport reported yesterday, United are not handing out free tickets to staff members for the Europa League final. Opponents Tottenham, however, are offering a complimentary ticket to every full-time employee at the club. Both clubs have been given an allocation of around 15, 000. By Dan Davis Tottenham captain Son Heung-min is fit enough for a spot on the bench after missing the last seven matches through injury. He last took to the field against Eintracht Frankfurt on April 10. Ange Postecoglou will surely bring him on at some point to get some valuable minutes in his tank before the Europa League final. The showdown in Bilbao is rapidly approaching. .. By Dan Davis Man United v West Ham In all honesty, not much. United would move 14th with a win but would likely stay behind Everton on goal difference. If Spurs get a result and United lose to West Ham, the Red Devils would drop down to 17th. That would be unthinkable. Nottingham Forest v Leicester The permutations for Forest are simple. They need a win. With Newcastle beating Chelsea, three points would move Forest into fifth. Leicester, of course, have already been relegated. Tottenham v Crystal Palace This is another dead rubber. Spurs could go 14th with a win, depending on other results, while Palace are five points adrift of 11th. By Dan Davis By Dan Davis By Dan Davis Let's bring you the team news from the two other 2. 15pm games. By Dan Davis That's a stronger United XI than many expected to see today. Ruben Amorim has taken a real risk. The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Leny Yoro and Amad Diallo would surely start the final in Bilbao. Imagine if they pick up an injury in a game which means nothing. .. I think another dressing room TV would be smashed. By Dan Davis Graham Potter has made three changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Tottenham at the London Stadium last time out. Vladimir Coufal, Guido Rodriguez and James Ward-Prowse all start. Emerson, Lucas Paqueta and Niclas Fullkrug are on the bench. Judging from the reaction on X, supporters aren't happy. By Dan Davis Ruben Amorim has made six changes from the side that beat Athletic Bilbao 4-1 in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final. Altay Bayindir is in goal with Andre Onana rested while Luke Shaw will slot into a back three, with Harry Maguire on the bench. Harry Amass replaces Patrick Dorgu at left wing back. Mason Mount will make his first start at Old Trafford since November while Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo are in from the off. By Dan Davis Afternoon, Sir Alex. He looked in good spirits as he walked into Old Trafford, not that United have had much to smile about this season. By Dan Davis We've got another action-packed day to look forward to. Here's what you can sink your teeth into this afternoon. .. By Dan Davis It's possible that young striker Chido Obi will be given his first start at Old Trafford to allow United to rest Rasmus Hojlund ahead of the final. He looked bright enough in the 4-3 defeat by Brentford. His inexperience was obvious but he worked hard and an outing today will be another highlight for him in just his first campaign at the club. Andre Onana is also set to be rested, meaning No 2 Altay Bayindir will likely start between the sticks over Tom Heaton. We could also see Mason Mount in from the off in midfield. By Dan Davis As usual, United rocked up nice and early at a sunny Old Trafford. A smiling Ruben Amorim took the time to take a selfie with some supporters before heading inside to begin his preparations. Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo also arrived with the squad. We're hearing whispers that Amorim has indeed rotated his side. More news to come on that in just a couple of minutes. By Dan Davis Welcome along, folks. It's another glorious day - perfect for football. There's an odd end-of-season feeling at Old Trafford this afternoon because this game is another dead rubber. United sealed their spot in the Europa League final after thumping Athletic Bilbao, so for them, it's now all about fitness levels. Expect plenty of youngsters to be given minutes. West Ham are in town and are similarly stuck in limbo. They can't be relegated but will want to avoid a pretty dismal 17th-place finish. We'll have team news shortly and, of course, we'll bring you goal updates from the two other games kicking off at 2. 15pm BST. Stay right here! Sign players? With Frugal Jim as your owner?
