What did I say? Erling Haaland was always going to get another chance with how rubbish this Manchester United defence is, and this time he makes sure to bury it. The whole of United's team is in the Manchester City half, and when they lose the ball, Haaland is clear to race away and slide the ball beyond Altay Bayindir. Game, set, and most definitely match. Erling Haaland is just going to bag another, isn't he? Yet again he gets on the end of a sweeping Manchester City move, but this time Altay Bayindir denies his unorthodox volley. The way United are defending, though, he will get plenty more chances to bag his second. Ruben Amorim has seen enough; he is making some changes. Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire have been brought into the action, while Leny Yoro and Noussair Mazraoui make way. Desperation stations? Wow, just wow! That is why Pep Guardiola brought in Gigi Donnarumma for moments like that. What a save. Bryan Mbeumo unleashes one hell of a volley that looks destined for the far corner, but Donnarumma somehow gets across and tips it past the post. Truly incredible. This Manchester United team have lost the plot. It's like they have forgotten how to pass a ball; they keep giving it away and allowing Manchester City to come at them. They need to get their act together. My word, Manchester United are falling apart. Erling Haaland is running riot, and only a Luke Shaw wonder challenge stops him from getting through again. City have suddenly come alive, as has Haaland, and this looks pretty darn ominous for United. This could get messy. WHAT THE HELL HAS JUST HAPPENED? ?? I can't believe it, Pep Guardiola can't believe it, but most of all, Erling Haaland can't believe it. He is played through for the second time in two minutes, he rounds Altay Bayindir, but somehow only manages to hit the post. I'm stunned. How has he missed? OUT OF THE BLUE! Just as Manchester United were starting to build a head of steam, then bang, Erling Haaland hits them with a suckerpunch. The Norwegian was always going to get his chance, and as he does week on week, he finishes it with ease. Jeremy Doku slides the ball through to Haaland, and he just dinks the ball over Altay Bayindir to give Manchester City some breathing room. Game over? It's all Man United now, they are having a real go. It just feels like they are trying to create the perfect opening, though. Someone just needs to have a dig. Patrick Dorgu is causing some problems and gets the ball in the box, but yet again, he fails to get a shot away. Just have a pop! ! Man United have come out fighting here; the claws are out. The visitors have been on the front foot from the first whistle in this second half, they look like they mean business. That being said, have they created an opening? Nada. As they sing in Mamma Mia, here we go again. Manchester United come out first, but aren't made to wait too long by their rivals. Manchester City are now out, and off we go. Let's hope we get an entertaining second half, eh? I've just seen a pretty damning stat. Manchester United have only managed one shot in this game. Yep, you are reading that right. You are never going to win a derby game when you don't even fashion any chances, are you? United have been so poor, again. Roy Keane, former Man United captain, on Sky Sports: Just look at the celebration, that goal meant so much to Phil Foden. He has taken a lot of flak from the media and fans this past year - rightfully so - but he has bounced back today. I think people are underappreciating just how brilliant a header it is. Foden had so much to do. And, boy, did he do it. Told ya! That minute flew by faster than a holiday, and Manchester City take a slender lead into the break. It's not been the best of games, and City have been far from their best, but they haven't needed to be on it. United have a lot of work to do. There is going to be just the solitary minute of stoppage time. Not really enough time for anything to happen, is it? The pies and pints are calling. The Etihad has empties rather quickly in these last few minutes, and I'm guessing it's because people want to scran and sink some drinks. To be fair, there isn't much happening on the pitch, so it's a good time to skip the queues. Watch out, International Space Station. .. you have a ball coming your way. Nico O'Reilly has just sent a ball beyond the moon and the stars with that effort - awful. There's hitting the ball over the bar, and then there is that. I hope the fans in the Etihad have brought their rain coats because the weather in Manchester is honking. As someone who ran a 10k race in a storm on Friday, I know how horrible it is to do sport in these conditions. It's horrid. Manchester United have come alive a little here. All of a sudden, they are pressing forward and have Manchester City camping back in their own half. They don't exactly look threatening, mind. Oh wait, just as I say that Benjamin Sesko gets in behind, but Gigi Donnarumma smothers his effort. I didn't even get to send out the post before looking silly. Yikessss. Bryan Mbeumo, my word, that is so poor. Not only is the Cameroonian offside as he is sent clean through, but he then proceeds to shank the ball miles high and wide of the goal. The flag isn't going to save you there, Bryan. Shocker. Bernardo Silva, what are you doing? The Manchester City captain wastes a really promising counter after some incredible work from Erling Haaland. The striker skips a couple of challenges before racing toward the box, and then spreads the ball to Silva in space. Silva decides to hammer the ball straight back at Haaland, who is not expecting it, and it allows Man United to clear. Ohhh, so nearly two! Manchester City are all over Manchester United now; they are ripping their rivals to shreds. Jeremy Doku once again dances through a sea of bodies, this time finding Tijjani Reijnders with a low cross. The Dutchman fires at goal, but Altay Bayindir beats his effort away. The Etihad is alive and kicking once again, a goal was all it needed. That was a huge moment for Phil Foden. he has been criticised over and over again for the past 12 months for his performances, and his selection today raised a few eyebrows. Well, what a day to show that the generational talent is still in there. IT JUST HAD TO BE HIM! Phil Foden loves a Manchester derby, and the local lad reintroduces himself to the Premier League by netting in yet another one. Foden latches onto Jeremy Doku's cross after lovely work down the right from the Belgian, and he heads home in some style. The Etihad erupts. Oh my, oh my. .. that would have been outrageous. Patrick Dorgu whips in a lovely ball to the back post and Amad Diallo decides he wants to try and acrobatically hammer it home. He shapes up for the overhead kick 16 yards out, but misses the ball completely and ends up in a heap on the floor. That's why sometimes going with your head is easier. Guys, I'm a little disappointed. I thought that we would at least have a decent derby atmosphere for 30-off minutes, but this place has already gone flat. Come on guys, perk up. This is a rivalry, remember. This game's ferocious start has calmed down a little now. Both teams are trying to wrestle control of this game, but neither is keeping the ball for too long. I imagine that Pep Guardiola isn't as happy as Ruben Amorim with how this game is panning out. Oh jeezy peeps. Altay Bayindir is showing just why Man United need a new keeper in net, as he nearly gives the ball away yards from goal. He takes a honking touch and Erling Haaland is breathing down his neck, looking to punish. The Turk just about recovers to save his own skin. Maybe I spoke too soon. I never seem to learn that whenever I say something, I always end up looking silly when the opposite happens. As soon as I clicked send on the last post, Manchester United drove forward and Benjamin Sesko digs out an effort from distance. It looks harmless, but Gigi Donnarumma makes sure to dive for the cameras. Classic. Manchester City really have come flying out of the blocks here. The pressing is just relentless, and only two-and-a-half minutes in, Altay Bayindir takes his time over a goal kick to calm things down. This has the feeling of a long afternoon for Man United. .. already. Phoarrrrr. .. 20 seconds in and Erling Haaland comes within a whisker of drilling Manchester City into the lead. He has a pop from a ridiculously tight angle, and it only marginally rolls past the far post. That would have been some start. There really was only one Ricky Hatton. Pep Guardiola look incredibly emotional as the Etihad pays tribute to a lifelong City fan. Blue Moon is then belted out with that extra something special as the players take to their positions. And off we go. .. This is a proper derby day atmosphere. It feels as though there is a little extra oomph to the noise after the horrible news we heard earlier today. The city of Manchester lost one of its most treasured men, Ricky Hatton, this morning. The teams have now emerged from the tunnel, and they are now making their way to the centre circle for a minute's applause in Hatton's honour. There is an extra element of emotion to this one now. Thanks, Kim! So, how are we all feeling? There aren't many bigger games in world football than the Manchester derby, even when they aren't at the peak of their powers. This fixture has given us many a cracking game over the years, and I am hoping for another today. Kick-off is almost upon us. The time is almost near and you can really feel the excitement building. I don't know about you but this feels like it could be a tight one. You get the sense it could go either way with both sides out of form. I'm going to pass you onto Harry, who's going to take you through all of the action. Enjoy! Ruben Amorim has insisted he is not reading into Man City's slow start to the season ahead of their crunch derby clash. This post should come as no surprise to anybody but it is raining in in Manchester. Some supporters appear more prepared than others in their ponchos while others are getting creative and finding alternative ways to shield themselves from the rain. Speaking ahead of the clash, Phil Foden paid tribute to boxing legend and Man City supporter Ricky Hatton who sadly passed away this morning. Manchester City will honour Ricky Hatton at this afternoon's derby with United. It is understood those at Hatton's beloved club will hold a minute's applause and both sides will wear black armbands in memory of the Mancunian fighter, who was found dead at his home this morning. Hatton was well known to staff at City and had been due to sit at a table in hospitality for the clash. Ruben Amorim and Co have rocked up to the Etihad, looking rather calm I must say. The red side of Manchester won't be too put off by not being in their own grounds, as they have a decent track record here, winning 16 times compared to City's 14. The big news coming from both starting line-ups is that Gianluigi Donnarumma has been handed his first start as Citizen by Pep Guardiola. Ahead of today's game the Spanish manager revealed what he expects from the Italian keeper. Gianliuigi Donnarumma gets handed his first appearance as a citizen as James Trafford is benched. As Jeremy Doku gets the nod up front ahead of Marmoush. Mazroui and Ugarte get the nod in the middle for this evening's derby, repalcing Dalot and Casemiro. Whilst Benjamin Sesko will lead the charge at the front in favour of Matheus Cunha. Manchester City find themselves in unchartered waters this season. Guardiola's men sit way down in 13th after three games after suffering back-to-back defeats against Tottenham and Brighton. It is the first time since 2004-05 that City have lost two of their opening three games in a campaign. It is also the Spanish coach's worst start to a league campaign in his decorated career. He will be hoping he can rally his troops to turn their fortunes around because the last time City lostthree of their first four games, they were relegated in 1995-96.
