Noussair Mazraoui - 5 One of the more surprising selections given Ruben Amorim has repeatedly said he is ‘at the limit’ and is a bigger injury risk than most. Had the toughest assignment of the day trying to shackle both Mohammed Kudus and Aaron Wan-Bissaka and came out second best too often on the day. Leny Yoro - 6 Operating in a central centre back role he looked as composed as ever for the most part but his day was cruelly cut short after he picked up a left leg issue early in the second half. Looked very emotional when he walked straight down the tunnel with his hopes of making the Europa League final squad now surely in doubt. Luke Shaw - 5. 5 Looked much more nervous than he has in recent appearances and there was an obvious lack of synergy on the pitch between Shaw and teenage wing-back Harry Amass. After the injury to Yoro it was no surprise to see Amorim quickly go to protect Shaw by taking him off. Leny Yoro's day was cruelly cut short after he picked up a left leg issue early in the second half Amad Diallo - 6 Felt like he should have had a penalty early in the second half, only for replays to show he went down far too easily. Made his first start since the beginning of February and, as he so often does, looks like the only player capable of making something happen for United. Manuel Ugarte - 4 He is harshly judged by many and has put in better performances of late but this was a display that was missing any positive impact from the Uruguayan. It was his carelessness that saw Aaron Wan-Bissaka rob him of the ball to launch the move for the second goal. Hooked before the hour. Bruno Fernandes - 5. 5 Cut a frustrated figure from the very first whistle and perhaps he knew that the same old story would follow. Can never fault his effort but playing in a deeper role, he needed to - and can do - a lot more in the midfield battle than he did here. Neutralised far too easily. This was a display that was missing any positive impact from Manuel Ugarte Kobe Mainoo struggled to into the game despite playing as a No10 Harry Amass - 5 Caught napping at the back post which allowed Tomas Soucek to open the scoring. Settled down as the game wore on but never managed to find a foothold to give him the attacking outlet he was able to put forth even in defeat against Wolves here. Mason Mount - 5 Deserved better in the first half when he produced a sublime chipped past over the back of the West Ham defence, only for Rasmus Hojlund to fluff his lines. But in what was his first start since November, just four passes into the final third as a No 10 in almost an hour of action highlighted just how peripheral he was in this match. Kobbie Mainoo - 4. 5 Couldn’t get into the game for the first 45 minutes where, despite playing as a No 10, made just one pass into the final third. Things didn’t improve much in the second half either and after a lacklustre display at Brentford, there’s still a long way to go for Mainoo to look comfortable in this system. Rasmus Hojlund - 4 Continues to make the wrong decision so often you have to wonder what his team-mates are thinking when he is fluffing his lines. There was one three-on-two break in the second half with Amad and Alejandro Garnacho where Hojlund’s foiled shot drew the biggest groan. He was then foiled on the line by Alphonse Areola after a Fernandes free-kick. There may be a final to come but Hojlund badly needs this season to end. MANAGER: Ruben Amorim - 4 Vowed that his best players needed to keep playing between now and the final and that backfired spectacularly when Leny Yoro went off in borderline tears as Amorim had head in hands. That’s now 17 league defeats in the season for Manchester United. They look so far off it in the league it’s scary. Rasmus Hojlund had a day to forget as he continues to make the wrong decision  SUBS Harry Maguire (for Leny Yoro, 52) - 6. 5 Was an upgrade when he came on and went very close with a couple of headers from corners when United found themselves throwing caution to the wind to chase the game. Victor Lindelof (for Luke Shaw, 52) - 6 Nothing to write home about after he came on. Steadied the ship a touch but West Ham almost took their foot off the gas having won the game inside an hour. Patrick Dorgu (for Manuel Ugarte, 59) - 6. 5 Was purposeful when he came on to play at right wing-back and did draw a few set-pieces late in the game. Was not able to manufacture that top quality chance, mind you. Alejandro Garnacho (for Mason Mount, 59) - 6 Gave West Ham a lot more to think about after coming on because he has the level of pace that no-one else in Manchester United ranks has. Was bemused when he was overlooked in favour of Hojlund when they broke three-on-two with Amad. Christian Eriksen (for Amad, 83) - 6 WEST HAM UNITED (3-4-2-1) Alphonse Areola - 8 Got very lucky on the stroke of half-time when he was way out of his goal and was closed down by Amad but down the stretch of this game he came up huge. Denied Maguire with a pair of headers and later produced a stunning save on the line to deny a Hojlund tap-in. Deserves his flowers for the role he played here. Jean-Clair Todibo - 7 Was linked to Manchester United once upon a time and this cool, calm and collected display showed why he was on their radar. Misplaced only three of his 48 passes before he was substituted. Max Kilman - 7. 5 Colossal at the back, although he has had and will have far tougher assignments than Rasmus Hojlund. Won the most duels of every player on the pitch and looked every bit the player that former West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui was raving about them signing from Wolves. Aaron Cresswell - 6. 5 Sublime back heel in build-up to the opening goal that should not be forgotten. Had his hands full with Amad but held his ground and showed all of his experience to limit United to very few clear-cut chances down their right side. Booked. Alphonse Areola made some fantastic saved to deny the hosts from getting on the scoresheet Max Kilman was colossal at the back, although he has had and will have far tougher assignments than Hojlund Vladimir Coufal - 6 Left absolutely everything out on the pitch, best evidenced by the fact he had to drag his heels to get off when substituted late on. Guido Rodriguez - 7 The Argentine offered far more protection to the back three behind him than his counterparts in Manchester United shirts. Only lost two of his six duels on the day and it was no surprise to see boss Graham Potter warmly embrace him when he took him off. James Ward-Prowse - 6. 5 Should have scored 33 seconds into the second half when Mohammed Kudus picked him out with a cutback inside the area. Made the most tackles of any player in the match and it felt like he got whatever he wanted with little to no resistance which will annoy Amorim. Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 8. 5 Man of the Match. Determined and incisive when attacking, which wasn’t often the case in a Manchester United shirt, this was a dominant display at both ends of the pitch and he had a hand in both goals. He was everything that Manchester United weren’t on the day: brave, decisive and direct. Tomas Soucek - 7 Put West Ham in front by coasting in front of Amass at the back post and was shown little resistance for the remainder of this fairly one-sided contest. Mohammed Kudus - 7. 5 Sat Amad Diallo down in the box before fizzing in a cross to assist Soucek’s opener and it was his clipped ball over the head of Mazraoui that allowed Wan-Bissaka to tee up Bowen for the second. Was a constant pest in the pockets of space in front of the United back three and if West Ham do go on to lose him this summer it will be mighty hard to replace him. Jarrod Bowen - 7 His eyes must have lit up when he was able to tap-in unmarked at the back post and celebrate right in front of the noisy travelling West Ham fans. With so much energy from players around him, he had one of his easier afternoons this season. Aaron Wan-Bissaka was Man of the Match -determined and incisive when attacking Jarrod Bowen's eyes must have lit up when he was able to tap-in unmarked at the back post MANAGER: Graham Potter - 7 Has taken plenty of criticism - much of it deserved - for the style and the results since he arrived. But this was brilliant from start to finish as they pummelled a bang average Manchester United team to even greater lows. SUBS Edson Alvarez (for Guido Rodriguez, 64) - 6. 5 Niclas Fullkrug (for Jarrod Bowen, 73) - 6 Carlos Soler (for Mohammed Kudus, 73) - 6. 5 Konstantinos Mavropanos (for Jean-Clair Todibo, 83) Emerson Palmieri (for Vladimir Coufal, 83)
