FT: Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Goalscorer Anna Patten speaking on RTE: "The plan was to come into this camp and definitely get two wins so we're happy with that and it's always nice to score. "You can only score goals like mine when the delivery is as good and all I had to get was a tiny touch to it. "We have worked on set pieces and it has paid off. " FT: Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Karen Duggan Former Republic of Ireland international on RTE The Republic of Ireland were technically better, but not just with their feet. We were stronger and faster than Greece and those things we under utilised in the game FT: Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Republic of Ireland manager Carla Ward speaking on RTE: On the game: "Overall, I think we completely dominated the game but those moments we need to manage. "I'm proud of the players for actually managing that [Greece's threat] as there were some edgy moments. But for me two wins was massively important and that is huge for us going into the final two games. On the disappointment of conceding: "After that, we needed a reaction. There were moments we probably could have managed it better and there were bits we need to work on moving forward but this is a group that is loving to learn. They want to improve all the time. "We know there was a lot of good stuff tonight, there were some excellent performances tonight but there is stuff we need to improve and we'll leave no stone unturned. " FT: Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Stay with us as we will have reaction from Republic of Ireland manager Carla Ward coming up! FT: Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Penalty scorer Amber Barrett on RTE: "I've done well during the week and the result on Friday was a good step forward. "Unfortunately we lost Kyra Carusa this evening and that's the importance of a squad, you have to be willing and ready to play at any stages so of course I was delighted to start tonight. "I don't think we caused them enough problems. The goalkeeper didn't have a lot to do and I think that's where we need to take the next step. " FT: Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Aine O'Gorman Former Republic of Ireland defender on RTE Aoife Mannion does the basics well. She very rarely loses possession. She knows when to take one touch and when to play and suck defenders in. FT: Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Player of the Match Aoife Mannion speaking on RTE: "It was a little bit tricky in the last ten minutes, but we got the job done and the three points which is the most important thing for the next round of games. "We know we can be better. It was encouraging that we had so many opportunities, so many chances and so may shots but we just have to be a little bit tighter in defence and put our chances away. "I'm delighted for Amber Barrett getting that penalty. She scored in our last game, her 50th cap. "It could have been in or outside the box- who knows. Those decisions sometimes go for you and go against you as well. I think if it wasn't that we'd scored from, it would have been another chance. "I wouldn't say we were lucky tonight I'd say that, if anything, we were unlucky that we didn't put more chances away but we have to create our own luck and do better taking our chances. " Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece The Republic of Ireland secure three crucial points thanks to goals from Amber Barrett and Anna Patten. The Republic of Ireland celebrating their second goal Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Megan Campbell is the first player of the game to be cautioned as she is booked for time wasting. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece We've played the 90 and are into three minutes of additional time. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Defender Caitlin Hayes is on for the final few minutes of the game. Marissa Sheva makes way. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Emily Murphy's cross is just too heavy for Abbie Larkin at the back post. Larkin was very close to making the connection needed to steer that delivery towards goal there. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Tonight's attendance has just been announced as 5, 879. Can they help the Republic of Ireland get the vital three points over the line? FT: Northern Ireland 1-0 Romania Northern Ireland manager Tanya Oxtoby, speaking to BBC Sport NI: "I think it was successful from our point of view. We knew it was going to be tougher than people maybe expected. I think the other results in the group have shown it's a really tight race and there are no easy games, so to get a result at home, I'm ecstatic. "I asked for a little bit more resilience in the defensive third. We knew Romania would create chances in the way that they play. I said, 'defend for your lives', and I think we did tonight. A clean sheet and no defeat, that's the motto. I give the defenders a lot of credit and the kids were sensational. Keri [Halliday] to Kascie [Weir] for the goal is something we have been working on so I'm really pleased for them that they have got reward for that. " Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Marissa Sheva can't steer her effort from just outside the box towards goal as we enter the final five minutes of the game. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Some more changes. Lucy Quinn and Tyler Toland make way for Ruesha Littlejohn and Abbie Larkin. Despoina Chatzinikolaou replaces Maria Palama in midfield for the away side. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Megan Campbell's second delivery is headed just wide by Saoirse Noonan. It's now the Republic of Ireland who look more likely to score again. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Another good delivery from Megan Campbell causes a scramble in the box before finding Lucy Quinn, whose effort is palmed over by Zoi Nasi. That was a good chance and a good save. Republic of Ireland 2-1 Greece Goalscorer Veatriki Sarri turns provider as she finds Ioanna Papatheodorov, who does well to weave around Jessie Stapleton, but her shot isn't as convincing as the build-up play and is a comfortable save for Courtney Brosnan. Eighteen-year-old Glentoran striker Weir scored her first international goal in the first half Kascie Weir scored her first international goal as Northern Ireland picked up a much-needed 1-0 win against Romania in the Nations League at Windsor Park. The 18-year-old Glentoran striker scored what proved to be the winner when she converted Keri Halliday's cross on eight minutes. After a frustrating 1-1 draw in Bucharest on Friday night, this was a much sharper display from Tanya Oxtoby's side, who remain second in Group B1 after a second win in four games. They will finish their campaign with a home game against Poland on 30 May and trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina on 3 June. Oxtoby 'ecstatic' after NI resilience in victory An incisive move from Northern Ireland helped create Weir's goal Oxtoby made four changes to the side that started on Friday as Nadene Caldwell, Caragh Hamilton, Halliday and Weir were all handed starts. Despite the hosts dominating possession early on, Romania went close to scoring on five minutes. Maria Ficzay's free-kick deflected off Halliday and fell kindly into the path of Ana Maria Stanciu, who was unable to direct her header on target. Northern Ireland then went ahead after a well-worked move involving two of the young players brought into the starting team. Brenna Mc Partlan released Halliday down the right and she squared the ball for Weir to sweep home from six yards. Oxtoby's side continued to look dangerous every time they went forward but, like on Friday, they lacked the cutting edge in the final third to add to their advantage. Their sloppiness in possession allowed Romania back into the game and they nearly equalised three minutes before half-time. Ficzay floated in a free-kick which Jackie Burns could only punch out to Florentina Olar-Spanu and her fierce strike was cleared off the line by Ellie Mason. Burns then turned Olar-Spanu's looping effort over the crossbar after Stefania Vatafu found Romania's captain unmarked on the edge of the box, as NI were forced to dig deep to hold on to their lead heading into the break. This video can not be played Highlights: Weir goal sees Northern Ireland past Romania at Windsor Park Northern Ireland made a fast start to the second half with Mason forcing Andreea Paraluta to palm her powerful effort over the crossbar two minutes after the restart. They almost gifted Romania a goal before the hour as Hamilton, captain on her 50th appearance, gave the ball to Cristina Carp when trying to find Caldwell, but the Romania striker fired straight at Burns. After a lull in the game, Danielle Maxwell, who scored on Friday, had an immediate impact coming off the bench as she saw a shot blocked after a neat exchange with Simone Magill. Fellow substitute Connie Scofield squandered a chance to double their lead on 81 minutes as her first-time effort was beaten away by Paraluta after the ball fell to her in the box. The home side were indebted to Burns for preserving their lead in injury time as she thwarted Mihaela Ciolacu's volley from inside the box. They managed to see out the victory despite the late Romanian pressure as they moved on to seven points in the standings. Oxtoby's side will now have to battle it out with the Bosnia-Herzegovina for second place, after the Bosnians held group leaders Poland to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday to move within three points of Northern Ireland.
