Use 'Get Involved' to have your say We need to bring Tammy Abraham on. Nicola, Pershore Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Emi Buendia is cautioned for his latest foul, a tug on the shirt of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde. Use 'Get Involved' to have your say Hopefully the second half will be better than the first. Well, it couldn't get any worse. .. or could it. Paul, Stockport *Insert Mick Mc Carthy meme here* Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa A cross is cleared to Wolves man Toti Gomes at the edge of the Villa box, but he snatches at his cross-shot and the ball drifts harmlessly wide. Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Wolves striker Adam Armstrong is booked for a late challenge on Emi Buendia. Use 'Get Involved' to have your say Villa's push for their position is now being hurt by Unai not swapping out players. Tammy should have been in tonight, Ollie needs a rest. We needed depth, we've signed depth and we haven't used it. Dom, London Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Villa midfielder Emi Buendia is limping about after Andre nicked the ball off his toes. The Villa man looks in some discomfort, but is continuing for now. Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Jadon Sancho immediately breaks down the right wing for Villa, but his low cross is easily cleared by the Wolves defence. Right intention from Sancho though. Villa need to be more intentional with their attacking play this half. Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Aston Villa kick off the second half. No changes for either side. Use 'Get Involved' to have your say Best derby memory? Lee Carsley scoring at Goodison in a 1-0 win. Absolute scenes and limbs everywhere. Good times Graham, Essex As a Palace fan, my favourite memory against Brighton was the 2-0 away win at the Amex in the play-off semis back in 2013, what a day! Steve, Croydon My favourite derby moment is Ruben Neves' last minute winner for 3-2, despite being 2-0 down in the 80th minute. Harry, Litchfield HT: Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Lee Hendrie Former Aston Villa midfielder on Sky Sports Aston Villa have looked dangerous from corners but it is always dealt with from a Wolves perspective. There have not been golden opportunities and it became more scruffy as the half went on. Wolves have not looked a threat but Adam Armstrong has found pockets of space. It is lack of confidence that has stopped him creating a chance. HT: Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Aston Villa mustered two shots on goal in the first half, but no goals. Is it time for Tammy Abraham? He's scored two goals in five games since returning to Aston Villa last month. Abraham has scored more goals against Wolves than any other opponent in English league football (six), netting a hat-trick in his first Premier League game against them with Chelsea in September 2019. The £18. 25m January signing has scored in successive games for Villa with his only two shots on target but hasn't started in the league since facing Brentford at the beginning of the month, when his would-be equaliser was controversially ruled out by VAR. Use 'Get Involved' to have your say Ollie is not a first class striker. Most of his attempts are straight at the keeper. It would be interesting to know his conversion rate this season. Roy, West Yorkshire Well, before tonight Ollie Watkins had scored eight goals from 54 shots in the Premier League this season. That means he has scored 0. 15 goals per shot, ranking him 54th among top flight players this term. By comparison, Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi tops the rankings with eight goals from 26 shots this season. HT: Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Don Goodman Former West Brom striker on Sky Sports Aston Villa have had several presentable chances that they haven't taken. The longer this goes on, the more nervy they will become. They have been pedestrian at times and need to move the ball a lot quicker. Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Let us forget that half of football ever happened. Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa It's all kicking off. Adam Armstrong takes exception to Pau Torres having a go at Yerson Mosquera, after the Wolves man caught him late. Mosquera is booked after lots of other players decide to get involved. Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Morgan Rogers and Yerson Mosquera get in a tiff, before the Villa man shoves the Wolves player. Mosquera rolls around like he is fatally wounded. Wolves get a free-kick, but no further punishment for Rogers. That was all rather silly. Use 'Get Involved' to have your say How are Villa third in the league? Up against one of the worst teams in top flight history yet they continually play back to Martinez. Poor. Steve, Darlington Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa Yerson Mosquera is still up following the free-kick and tries to pressure Villa defender Ezri Konsa into making a mistake, but then goes down clutching his face. Words are exchanged, but in the end he's fine to continue. Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes had not scored since 25 February 2025 At a glance Joao Gomes opens scoring for Wolves in 61st minute Rodrigo Gomes adds second in stoppage time Aston Villa miss chance to strengthen grip on third place Bottom side Wolves seal second Premier League win of season PLAYER RATER Aston Villa's Champions League hopes suffered another blow as Wolves delivered a stunning derby blow to avoid an unwanted record. Joao Gomes and Rodrigo Gomes ensured the hosts reached 13 points to move past Derby's record Premier League low points total of 11 set in 2007-08. They remain bottom and destined for relegation, but at least claimed a second top-flight win of the season. Villa, who remain third, missed the chance to move six points clear of Manchester United in fourth and they have won just two of their past seven league games. They were also dumped out of the FA Cup by Newcastle this month with Unai Emery's side faltering badly. Villa had first-half chances when Pau Torres miscued a free header and Douglas Luiz volleyed straight at goalkeeper Jose Sa, while Toti Gomes scuffed wide for Wolves. The hosts competed well and found the breakthrough when Gomes scored with their first shot on target, firing in off the bar from Adam Armstrong's lay-off after 61 minutes. Emery summoned Tammy Abraham from the bench with 20 minutes left but it made no difference as Rodrigo Gomes made it 2-0 in stoppage time. More to follow.
