Click below to give them a watch! By Lewis Browning Here are some really impressive stats from Arsenal's win today, courtesy of our friends at Stats Perform. How do they do it? By Lewis Browning Ben, London: No 1 Jersey in Utd has a new owner Football Judge, London: Sesko proving he’s 100x better than Gyokeres! Hemel82, Hemel Hempstead: Gyokeres dont even score against the rubbish sides now. What a waste of money scgooner, London: Gyokeres invisible. Slow, no football brain, no fox in the box instinct, wins no headers. He legit hides behind 3 players when crosses come in. At least Havertz gets a few goals. Might as well play with 10 men most times. By Lewis Browning Thanks Harry. Let's hope so. Not going to lie, I'm hoping to come in and steal your thunder a bit. Hello all. Here's how the top half of the Premier League table is looking after today's events, thanks to our trusty friends at Google. Looking much better for United. .. and very good for Arsenal! That could change a lot by he end of the weekend, but this is where we are at the moment. Right, it's time for me to bounce. No, that doesn't mean this blog is being closed, don't you worry. I'm just not going to be running it anymore. Why? Stamford Bridge is calling my name. My colleague Lewis Browning is to take over to provide you with all the reaction from the 3pm kick-offs. I'm sure you will all have a blast with him at the wheel. What a start to his Manchester United career for Senne Lammens. Altay Bayindir didn't manage to get a single clean sheet in his six Premier League appearances this season - not that it was all his fault - and Lammens has got one in his very first game. I mean, he hardly worked in the net today, making his only meaningful save just before full-time, but that will still do the young Belgian's confidence a world of good. He could hardly have asked for a better start. Is Old Trafford finally a fortress again? Over the years, it had slowly become the Theatre of Nightmares for Manchester United, but it seems like it is becoming a dreamy place once again. That victory means that the Red Devils are have won three consecutive home league games for the first time since winning eight in a row between April and August 2023. That's a blooming long time, isn't it? Today was an even better performance than the one they produced to beat Chelsea a couple of weeks ago. They really needed that. Big result for Ruben Amorim. They return to winning ways with a well-deserved victory over Sunderland at Old Trafford. That is the best we have seen them play in some time. By Harry Bamforth The Gunners go top! That is about as dominant a performance you can get. Arsenal have cruised past West Ham at the Emirates. Goals from Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka don't truly tell the story of how the Gunners have battered the Hammers. Mikel Arteta will be a happy boy. Leon Osman, former Everton midfielder, on Radio 5 Live: How have Sunderland not scored there? Chemsdine Talbi simply has to score; he has almost the whole goal to aim at as the ball comes his way. But he can only find the legs of Senne Lammens, and that just sums up the visitor's day. United look set to claim a clean sheet, for once. Really, ref? There are going to be seven added minutes at the Emirates, but this game is already over. West Ham have been really disappointing today. Don't get me wrong, I understand the cautious approach, but they haven't even got close to Arsenal, let alone laid a glove on them. If this were a boxing match, they would just be constantly backtracking while getting clipped and knocked down by punches. Oh, I thought that was the killer blow. Matheus Cunha does well to get on the end of a cross, but he gets his header all wrong. That would have finished Sunderland off, but they are just about still alive. Barely, mind. I sense a third goal coming. Arsenal are showing no mercy and continue to press their foot on the gas, with Mikel Merino the latest to see a shot blocked. They haven't scored their customary corner goal yet, but there is still time. Sunderland are starting to push here, really push. Eliezer Mayenda's eyes light up as he gets the ball around 20 yards out in front of the Stretford End, and he gets a little excited. The striker tries to whip one into the top corner, but I think that may end up hitting someone in row Z. To do that at Old Trafford is quite the feat. .. Arsenal have barely had to get out of second gear here; they are coasting to three points. I don't think any of their players will have to have their kits washed; they aren't even breaking a sweat. Far too easy. OK, now that's a proper chance. The ball falls to Casemiro on the edge of the box, and he has all the time in the world to pick his spot. So what does he do? Balloon it over the bar of course, keeping in line with this second half being poor. Should do better. A landmark goal on a landmark day. That Bukayo Saka penalty was his 100th Premier League goal involvement in his 200th league game for Arsenal. The bloke just keeps getting better and better; once again he has been superb today. Well, that's sort of a chance. I am clutching at straws at Old Trafford, so half-chances will be reported on. I mean, it's only fair. Sunderland's Chemsdine Talbi has an effort blocked, and then Manchester United launch a counter, but it comes to nothing. Rivoting stuff, I know. Never. In. Doubt. Bukayo Saka marks his 200th Premier League game for the club with a goal, and it's a superb penalty. Saka takes a deep breath, takes his time, and then whips it powerfully into the corner. Game, set, and match. Right on cue! Just as I started to moan once again, Arsenal go and grab themselves a penalty. Classic me. Jurrien Timber is clipped by El-Hadjj Malick Diouf on the edge of the area, and it's a clear spot kick. Bukayo Saka to step up. I've been moaning a lot about the poor second half in Manchester, but it's not much better down in north London. It's all Arsenal, but they just can't break the West Ham defence down to get that second. Patience is needed. Erm. .. . what? Stuart Attwell is having an absolute stinker in the middle at Old Trafford this afternoon. And I mean, a real stinker. He books Bertrand Traore for simulation despite the winger clearly getting clipped by Senne Lammens. It's a foul, not a dive. Awful officiating. Arsenal are cruising, simply cruising. West Ham are giving them nothing to worry about, and the Gunners just continue to pummel them. This must be tough to watch for any Hammers out there. I think I would rather watch paint dry on a sunny day than watch this game. These guys are giving me absolutely diddly to talk about. Want an update from Old Trafford? Well, tough. Nothing is happening whatsoever. Sunderland have had the ball and are passing it about, but there is no threat to their play. The second half is yet to catch fire. My word, West Ham have actually gone forward. El-Hadjj Malick Diouf bursts down the left and then finds Crysencio Summerville, but his shot is tame at best. That's a positive sign for the Hammers, though. Half-chances are better than no chances at all. Oh, come on. You are never, ever, getting a penalty for that. Bukayo Saka wants a spot kick for a Kostas Mavropanos handball, but it barely even grazes his fingernails. Just get on with the game. And we are back. Both our 3pm matches are back up and running in Manchester and London. Let's hope for more entertainment. Martin Odegaard's season has been much like the car I had when growing up, stop-start. In fact, even my old banger managed to keep going longer than the Arsenal skipper can at the moment. Yet again, he has been forced off through injury. Odegaard is the first player in Premier League history to be substituted before half-time in three consecutive Premier League starts. The bloke just can't catch a break. Mike Dean, retired referee, on Sky Sports: What a chance, right on the stroke of half-time. Dom Ballard misses a massive opportunity from a corner, and he can't believe he hasn't scored. But then goes the whistle, and Manchester United take a deserved two-goal lead into the break. The Red Devils have been superb. So far, so good for Arsenal. The Gunners have been excellent yet again, and the fact they have scored just one is crazy. They could have three or four, but Nuno Espirito Santo has clearly been working on that West Ham defence. Just the one will do for now, though. Ooooooh. .. Sunderland may have a lifeline, but my word, this is harsh. Benjamin Sesko lifts his foot high to clear the ball and comes close to hitting Trai Hume, but he makes no contact. But VAR takes a look, and oh, it's not been given. That's the right decision, but boy, was that a weird way to get to the decision. Classic. Just as I say Sunderland are doing nothing, they suddenly buck up their ideas and fly forward. Granit Xhaka gives Senne Lammens his first save to make as a Manchester United keeper with a stinging piledriver from outside the box. It was a fairly straightforward stop, though. Manchester United are all over Sunderland. The Black Cats just can't string a serious series of passes together, and United are continuing to knock on the door. For once, Ruben Amorim's system is working. I know, mental, am I right? WHO ELSE? ! The West Ham resistance is broken, and of course, it just had to be their former captain to break it. Eberechi Eze's shot is beaten out into the path of Declan Rice, and he just guides it into the roof of the net. He doesn't celebrate, but just glares at the Hammers away fans. .. Arsenal have West Ham pinned back. It's wave, after wave, after wave of attacks and the Hammers are digging their heels in and fighting for their lives. I mean, something has got to give soon. West Ham are hanging on by a thread. How Arsenal have not score yet, I do not know, but yet again they fail to take advantage of a massive chance. Leandro Trossard pulls the trigger in the box and seems destined to score, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka makes a huge block. Surely the opener is on its way. Welcome to Old Trafford, Benjamin Sesko! The Slovenian has well and truly arrived at Manchester United, and he doubles their lead. It's been the season of long throws, and one makes it all the way through to Sesko, who slides the ball home first time. United are flying! A big blow for Arsenal. Martin Odeagarrd tried to be a warrior and carry on, but the knock is just too heavy. The skipper is replaced by Martin Zubimendi. WOW! Robin Roefs, that is simply sensational. The Sunderland goalkeeper is singlehandedly keeping his side in the game, and he makes an incredible save onto the bar to deny a bending Bruno Fernandes effort. Amad Diallo should score on the follow-up, but he heads wide. Bukayo Saka. .. . no. The winger thinks he has opened the scoring and starts running away in celebration, but his joy is short-lived. He just got a little too excited, like a puppy, and goes early when chasing a long ball. West Ham survive. Speaking of Amad Diallo. He has just rinsed Arthur Masuaku yet again during a winding run, which seems to have a pop at the end of it. It's a decent effort from the little Ivorian, and Robin Roefs does well to scramble across and get a hand to it. United are starting to find their flow. Oh, this doesn't look good. Martin Odegaard just can't catch a break this season. He appears to have picked up another knock. He collides with Crysencio Summerville and then knocks the ball out of play to ask for treatment. He may have to come off here. Things are calming down at the Emirates. West Ham are having their first real extended spell of possession, and you can feel the frustration in the stands. They are probably all still stunned at that Eberechi Eze miss, I know I am. I reckon I might have buried that. .. Oh. My. Word. Eberechi Eze, how have you not scored? The midfielder's eyes light up as the ball pops up to him six yards out, but he sends the ball toward the moon rather than the net. It was harder to miss. Crazy miss. Do you want to know what is mental? Mason Mount has just scored his very first Premier League goal at Old Trafford. This is his third season at the club. .. . I mean, that's a pretty poor record, but maybe this is the beginning of Mount's career resurgence. Mathues Cunha who? ? Many questioned why Ruben Amorim would drop Cunha for Mason Mount, and well, the latter has just proven why. Bryan Mbeumo finds Mount against the run of play and he nestles a lovely strike into the corner. Lovely goal. HOW HAS HE NOT SCORED? I can't believe it, Bertarnd Traore makes a mess of an absolutely massive chance. he has to score. Simon Adingra puts it on a plate for the winger, but he miscues his effort completely and the chance goes begging. Man United have got away with one there. What a start that would have been! West Ham love the Emirates, and they really should be ahead early days here. The ball is lofted into Niclas Fullkrug four yards from goal, and it's like his head is a 50p piece and it just bounces off it. Should be 1-0 Hammers. Off. We. Go. Our two Premier League 3pm kick-offs are now underway. Old Trafford fell silent before the whistle following the awful attack in Manchester on Thursday. How are we all feeling? I'm hoping excited, as kick-off is just over five minutes away at both Old Trafford and the Emirates. It's windy in both Manchester and London, and I reckon we are in for two tasty tussles because of it. Let's hope it blows in a few goals, eh? Manchester United's home form is actually quite decent of late. Manchester United have won their last two home Premier League matches, as many as in their previous nine combined at Old Trafford (D2 L5). The Red Devils are looking for three consecutive home wins for the first time since winning eight in a row between April and August 2023. It's been their away form this season, which is why they are as low as they are in the table, but if they can continue getting points at Old Trafford, they may be able to turn the tide. Easier said than done, mind. The guys at Squawka have done it again. They have kindly provided us with a stat pack ahead of Arsenal's clash with West Ham, and just look how snazzy it looks. Love it. It makes for good reading, too. What interests me most is that both teams have created similar amounts of chances per game, but Arsenal have double the number of goals. The Gunners are way more clinical. West Ham love playing at the Emirates. Whenever this fixture comes up, it always seems like it will be straightforward for Arsenal. I mean, they really should be beating West Ham at home. But for whatever reason, they really struggle against them. West Ham are looking to become only the second side to win three successive Premier League away games against Arsenal, after Manchester City, who won six on the bounce from March 2018 to February 2023. It would be truly exceptional if they managed to bag three points today and make it three on the spin here. Can I see it happening? Nah, not particularly. You never know, though. I'm going to detour away from today's matches, briefly. Don't worry, though, it's because of something cool. Following the international break, something rather unique is happening. Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke and Fulham owner Shahid Khan will see their teams face off in two different sports, across two days in two stadiums in London: I mean, have you ever seen anything like it? I know I haven't, and I will be making sure to watch both. Who will come out on top: Kroenke or Khan? Every week is a big week for Man United and Ruben Amorim. It may 'only' be Sunderland, as I have heard some egotistical United fans say this week, but this is a Black Cats side who have four more points than the 20-time champions and arrive at Old Trafford full of confidence. United's confidence, meanwhile, is on the floor. The defeat at Brentford last week was another miserable day in a long line of miserable days under Amorim. I thought it may have been the Portuguese coach's last game; it was that bad, but he is here and has been backed to turn the tide at Old Trafford. A win today is a must. Things are good at Arsenal right now, very good. Six days ago, they banished their St. James' Park curse with a late winner against Newcastle, and in midweek, they cruised past Olympiacos. With Liverpool starting to stutter, Mikel Arteta's side now have the chance to go top of the Premier League. It's early days, but the fact that they could have been eight points behind the Reds if things had gone against them last week, it's pretty big that Arsenal could fly to the summit. On paper, you'd expect to cruise past a West Ham side who have had a honking start to the season and are just getting used to life under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo. But if we know anything, it's that football isn't played on paper, it's played on grass, and anything can happen. The Hammers won at the Emirates last year, and Arsenal's title hopes started to fall away thereafter. Arteta won't want that to happen again. Wow. Mikel Arteta really has gone attacking. Just look at that midfield, both Eberechi Eze and Martin Odegaard are in it. Meanwhile, Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber return to the back four, while Gabriel is fit enough to start. For West Ham, the big news is that Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns. See, you didn't have to wait long. Here is the confirmation that Senne Lammens does indeed start his first Premier League match for Manchester United. Mason Mount also returns to the fold, while Matheus Cunha surprisingly drops to the bench. Oh, do I have news for you guys. .. Manchester United have arrived at Old Trafford, and the team news is now out. .. but I'm going to withhold it from you for a bit longer. Why? I mean, why not? The big news that I can tell you, though, is that Senne Lammens is set to start his first Manchester United game. Altay Bayindir has been dropped. The time has finally come. It's not just quiet in terms of 3pm kick-offs, it's been a quiet day as a whole. We only have four matches throughout the day to enjoy, with Sunday the main footie day this week. Here is the schedule for today: Saturdays are normally busier than this. We only have two Premier League matches on offer at 3pm this afternoon, which just doesn't feel right. But you know what they say, less is more. We may only have minimal games to tuck into, but they are two tasty ones, so don't be too down. Arsenal have the chance to go top of the Premier League as they take on London rivals West Ham, while Manchester United host Sunderland, looking to bounce back from defeat last week. And what is good news for you guys about there being only two games is that I can focus on both of them more. It's not going to be pure chaos for once. So, without further ado, shall we get cracking? What has happened to the EPL? Only two 3pm games o. ..
