Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy speaking to Premier League Productions after Jamie Vardy's final home appearance: Fulham were on the right side of a see-saw game against London rivals Brentford, as they came back from behind to win 3-2, having thrown away an early lead to begin with. Raul Jimenez opened the scoring for the Cottagers, who were only able to hold onto their lead for no less than six minutes before Bryan Mbeumo levelled for Brentford. Mbeumo then failed to put his side up and make it 20 Premier League goals on the season when he fluffed his lines from the penalty spot just moments later. But Yoane Wissa was able to give the Bees the lead before half-time. Click below to read more. By David Coverdale At The King Power Stadium You didn’t think he was going to go quietly, did you? Thirteen years to the day since he signed for Leicester from non-league Fleetwood, Jamie Vardy scored his 200th goal for the club in his 500th and final appearance. And for a moment inside the King Power Stadium, it was as if the striker had led the Foxes to the Premier League title all over again. What a fitting farewell this was for Vardy on a day that had all been designed to celebrate Leicester’s greatest ever player, who announced in the week he would sign-off against Ipswich and not away at Bournemouth next Sunday. Their victory at West Ham, courtesy of goals from Morgan Gibbs-White and Nikola Milenkovic, keeps the pressure on their top-five rivals and sets up a thrilling final-day showdown with Chelsea. Forest have secured European football for the first time in 30 years but the question still remains over how illustrious next season’s competition will be. After this, the Champions League, the Europa League and the Conference League all remain on the table. Boy, it was tense. Jarrod Bowen’s late volley for West Ham set up a frantic, frayed finish and it needed a stoppage-time save from Matz Sels from Niclas Fullkrug to secure the victory for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. Click below to read more. Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to Match of the Day: Nottingham Forest playmaker Morgan Gibbs-White speaking to Sky Sports: It’s all over. Harry Wilson is the difference for Fulham in the west London derby for the second time this season. For the first time since 1947–48, Fulham complete a league double over their neighbours, and this one came in dramatic fashion. After trailing 2-1, second-half goals from Tom Cairney and Wilson turned it around and kept their hopes of a top-eight finish alive. A huge result and a wild one at the G-Tech! A perfect send-off for Leicester legend Jamie Vardy/ On his 500th and final appearance for the club, Vardy marked the occasion in style with his 200th goal in Foxes colours — a fitting moment to crown 13 unforgettable years at the King Power Stadium. His first-half strike set the tone before Kasey Mc Ateer sealed the win after the break. Ipswich did have the ball in the net twice, but both efforts were ruled out for offside. These two sides will go again next season in the Championship, but today belonged to Vardy. Meanwhile, Ruud van Nistelrooy has his fourth win as Leicester boss! Ipswich thought they had pulled one back — but the flag is up! Leif Davis strayed just offside as he latched onto a low cross from Omari Hutchinson and tapped it home. It looked tight in real time, but VAR doesn’t need long to confirm the decision. Still 2-0 to the Foxes. While all eyes were on Vardy's Leicester farewell, there was another stunner in west London! Fulham complete a rapid-fire turnaround — and this one is all about Harry Wilson. He picks it up from distance, around 30 yards out, and unleashes a brilliant, swerving strike that flies into the bottom corner. Brentford shellshocked. Fulham flying! Jamie Vardy will play for Leicester City no more. One of the Premier League's modern day icons is moving on this summer. IAN LADYMAN took a deep dive into the mad world of the iconic No 9 earlier this week. By David Coverdale At The King Power Stadium And that is it. Jamie Vardy's last moment in a Leicester shirt. The captain has been subbed in the 80th minute and given a guard of honour by his team-mates and staff as he leaves the pitch. 'One Jamie Vardy', sings the crowd. Vardy, who looks more than a little emotional, is replaced bt Patson Daka. We have had six subs so far (two for Leicester and four for Ipswich) but Jamie Vardy is still out there. He looks capable of completing the full 90 but I suspect we may see him taken off very late on to give him one final moment in the King Power spotlight. Fulham hit back and the away end erupts! Kenny Tete charges down the right and floats a perfectly weighted cross into the area. Rising highest to meet it is Tom Cairney, who plants a firm header past Flekken to bring Fulham level. Brilliant scenes among the travelling fans. Game on again in west London! Kasey Mc Ateer grabs his first-ever Premier League goal. What a moment for the academy graduate! Wilfred Ndidi prods the ball into Mc Ateer’s path inside the box, and from a tight angle, the winger squeezes a low shot past the keeper and into the far corner. Leicester now look in full control at the King Power. Forest hang on for a huge three points! They will enter the final week of the season still in the hunt for Champions League qualification. Still no final whistle and things have erupted at the London Stadium. Paqueta and Murillo get tangled up in a spot of wrestling, sparking a mass confrontation involving almost every outfield player. Morato then raises his hand to Jarrod Bowen, shoving him in the face and he's perhaps fortunate to escape a red card. Referee Sam Barrott now has a full-blown flashpoint to deal with in stoppage time. It's getting very heated out there. Last chance for West Ham… even the keeper's up! We are in the 13th minute of added time. It’s a corner in the dying seconds and Alphonse Areola has joined the attack. The delivery is swung into a crowded box — bodies everywhere — and a shot is fired goalwards, but Matz Sels reacts superbly to keep it out! Huge save to preserve Forest’s lead right at the death. Anthony Elanga and Nicolas Dominguez make way as Jota Silva and Ryan Yates are introduced for the final moments. Forest win a corner and are in no rush to take it. Remember, only a win will keep their Champions League dream alive. Before it can be taken, we have yet more delays. Two members of the Forest coaching staff are shown yellow cards amid heated scenes on the touchline. Fustration growing around the ground. ELEVEN minutes of stoppage time! Forest fans have suddenly gone very quiet and twitchy. Bowen pulls one back for West Ham with a stunning touch and volley. Nervy finish for Forest here, out of nowhere. A triple change for Forest. Nuno shuffles the pack as his side look to see this one out. Off: Ibrahim Sangare, Morgan Gibbs-White, Elliot Anderson On: Callum Hudson-Odoi, Danilo, Morato Fresh legs for the final few minutes at the London Stadium. The tempo has dipped, and Forest look content to manage their lead. Just over 10 minutes left for West Ham to salvage something and avoid ending their home campaign on a flat note. Mohammed Kudus makes way, after a quiet afternoon by his standards. He's replaced by 19-year-old winger Luis Guilherme. A big moment for the youngster. Marco Silva totally lost it in that first half. It even looked like he was having a ding-dong with a member of Brentford's security team guarding the tunnel. But then I can understand his anger. Yoane Wissa should have received a second yellow. He didn’t. And then he scored. A breathless opening 45 in the west London derby. Fulham took the lead early through Jimenez, but Brentford roared back thanks to Mbeumo and a close-range finish from Wissa. Plenty for Thomas Frank to be pleased about — and all still to play for after the break. A fairytale script for Jamie Vardy — his 200th goal for the club, on his 500th and final appearance, separates the sides at the break. Both teams are already down but the Foxes are now in charge in the battle for 18th place. While we were watching a million VAR replays of Forest's second goal, Brentford turned their game with Fulham on its head. A trademark long throw causes chaos in the box — Sepp van den Berg rises highest to flick it on, Christian Norgaard gets his head to it, and Yoane Wissa is on hand to bundle it over the line from close range. .. extremely close range. It might have been an inch out! Leno got a touch but couldn’t keep it out. Brentford now in front! We're past the five-minute mark since the ball went into the net. .. . .. and after all that it's given! Chants of 'F*** VAR' around the stadium as officials take forever to work out if Milenkovic's header will stand. The referee has called over both managers for a chat. Can only assume that the semi-automated tech isn't working because the box was too crowded but we await confirmation. Forest double their lead — and it's Milenkovic who wheels away in celebration! A free-kick from the left is whipped into a crowded box with real quality. Amid a sea of bodies, it’s Nikola Milenkovic who gets the crucial touch, glancing the ball past Areola. There's a check ongoing for offside — and things have gone slightly haywire. It seems the semi-automated system isn't functioning properly, and the referee has just jogged over to speak with both managers. Boos ring around the London Stadium — West Ham fans are not impressed by the delay. Huge cheers as Aaron Cresswell leaves the London Stadium pitch for the final time in a West Ham shirt. After 11 years of service — having been signed by Sam Allardyce in 2014 — the 34-year-old is set to depart this summer when his contract expires. He was honoured before kick-off with a commemorative shirt presentation by former team-mate and Hammers legend Mark Noble, and receives a warm ovation from all corners of the ground. He's one of four changes from Graham Potter: Off: Cresswell, Tomas Soucek, James Ward-Prowse, Aaron Wan-Bissaka On: Lucas Paqueta, Edson Alvarez, Niclas Fullkrug, Carlos Soler By David Coverdale At The King Power Stadium It just had to be for Jamie Vardy. What a moment that was - his 200th goal in his 500th and final game for the Foxes. Vardy runs away to the corner flag and holds it up high in front of his fans. Rarely has the King Power Stadium ever cheered a goal like they did that. Elliot Anderson sees yellow after dragging down Mohammed Kudus, who was bursting through the centre with intent. Clear tactical foul — no complaints from the Forest midfielder. Number 200 for Jamie Vardy and what a moment! You couldn’t have scripted it better. On his 500th and final appearance for Leicester, the club legend hits a landmark goal in front of a jubilant King Power crowd. It started with brilliant work from James Justin, winning the ball deep in his own half and surging forward before threading a perfect pass to Vardy. The striker takes it in stride and drills a low finish through a defender’s legs and into the bottom corner. Cue bedlam in the stands. Vardy wheels away to the corner flag, soaking in every second. Blistering start to this match. Fulham scored when Adama Traore crossed for Raul Jimenez. Then Brentford equalised when Traore lost the ball and Bryan Mbeumo exchanged a one-two with Yoane Wissa. Then Brentford were awarded a penalty – a controversial one I'd suggest – as Marco Silva was utterly furious in his technical area He looked like he was getting into a ding-dong with a member of the Brentford security staff. When Bernd Leno then denied Mbeumo his 20th Premier League goal of the season from the spot, Silva used it as an opportunity to have another pop, at fourth official Farai Hallam. No changes at the break for either side — and yes, Murillo is still on. There was a curious moment just before the restart as Morato appeared ready to come on, tracksuit off and instructions given… But Murillo jogged back out and is now sprinting around like nothing happened. Nottingham Forest are doing their part in the push for Europe — Chris Wood’s opener has them on course for a vital three points at the London Stadium. As things stand, they remain in seventh, but are now level on points with Manchester City, with only goal difference separating the two sides. It’s incredibly tight in the battle for European places, with Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle all on 66 points, and Brentford, Brighton, and Fulham not far behind. 1 - Liverpool – 83 pts (P36, GD +46) 2 - Arsenal – 68 pts (P36, GD +38) 3 - Newcastle – 66 pts (P36, GD +23) 4 - Chelsea – 66 pts (P37, GD +20) 5 - Aston Villa – 66 pts (P37, GD +9) 6 - Man City – 65 pts (P36, GD +24) 7 - Nottingham Forest – 65 pts (P37, GD +13) 8 - Brentford – 56 pts (P37, GD +10) 9 - Brighton – 55 pts (P36, GD +3) 10 - Bournemouth – 53 pts (P36, GD +2) 11 - Fulham – 52 pts (P37, GD -1) 12 - Crystal Palace – 49 pts (P36, GD -2) 13 - Everton – 45 pts (P37, GD -3) 14 - Wolves – 41 pts (P36, GD -13) 15 - West Ham – 40 pts (P37, GD -8) 16 - Man United – 39 pts (P37, GD -12) 17 - Tottenham – 38 pts (P37, GD -2) 18 - Ipswich Town – 23 pts (P37, GD -42) 19 - Leicester City – 23 pts (P37, GD -47) 20 - Southampton – 12 pts (P37, GD -59) Brentford hit back — and who else but Bryan Mbeumo? Adama Traore gives the ball away deep in Fulham territory, and the hosts make him pay. Mbeumo latches onto it just inside the box on the right and curls a clinical finish across Leno into the far corner. That’s his 19th Premier League goal of the season — and a huge one in the Bees' push for Europe. Fulham strike first in the London derby — and it's a classic centre-forward's finish from Raul Jimenez. Adama Traore bursts down the right with trademark speed and delivers a looping cross into the area, helped by a slight deflection. Jimenez climbs highest and thumps a header low and hard — it sneaks under Flekken’s glove and into the net. The only goal of the game so far at the London Stadium came courtesy of Morgan Gibbs-White following a terrible pass by Hammers keeper Areola. Analysing the goal at half-time, Jamie Redknapp says on Sky Sports: 'I've got no idea why he didn't clip it up. It is an absolute gift. 'Gibbs-White did really well. 'I've no idea why a goalkeeper would try to reverse-pass the ball in his own area. He's no De Bruyne! ' Dominant start from Brentford, with Yoane Wissa denied by Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno after he had been played through by Mikkel Damsgaard, who impresses me every time I watch him live. The first half ends with Forest on the attack but West Ham successfully defend two corner kicks. As the referee blows his whistle to signal half-time, Hammers fans boo halfheartedly. Meanwhile, there are concerns for Murillo after the Forest defender fell awkwardly inside the Hammers box. He might not reappear after the break, one suspects. By David Coverdale At The King Power Stadium Jamie Vardy led Leicester out with three of his children, all wearing Vardy 9 shirts. A number of his old Foxes team-mates are sat in the stands, including Wes Morgan and Kasper Schmeichel. This is Vardy's 500th appearances for Leicester and he is on 199 goals for the club. .. Four minutes are added on at the end of the first half. Two minutes into that stoppage time and Coufal becomes the first player booked. He sprints after a loose ball down the flank and thinks he's earned a corner off Milenkovic — but the assistant flags for a Forest goal kick. Coufal loses his cool, venting his frustration at the official, and is shown a yellow card for dissent. Massive opening for Wood — but the flag's up! A straightforward ball slipped past Kilman splits the West Ham defence and sends Wood racing clear. His cross is half-cleared, falling kindly back to him, and he lashes a shot that forces Areola into action. The offside flag goes up after the fact — it would've been a close call had VAR been needed. While West Ham vs Nottingham Forest is approaching half-time, the 3pm games - Leicester vs Ipswich and Brentford vs Fulham - have both just kicked off. We will keep you up to date with any goals as they go in. Jarred Gillet is our referee at Brentford versus Fulham, less than 24 hours after he acted as VAR in the FA Cup final when he ignored Dean Henderson’s handball which stopped Erling Haaland from scoring. Gillett’s reasoning was the ball was going away from goal. Well, yes, Henderson made sure of that, didn't it? By David Coverdale At The King Power Stadium Forget that this is a match between two already relegated sides, there is a real buzz around the King Power Stadium. Special Vardy scarves are selling like hot cakes. One reads, '13 years - thanks for everything. Jamie Vardy. Leader - captain - legend'. Four giant Jamie Vardy banners have been raised inside the stadium just minutes before kick-off. Fans are now waving special blue and white flags reading 'Thank you Vards', with GOAT spelt out in the East Stand. Big moment for Kudus! Cresswell steps into midfield to combine neatly with Wan-Bissaka, who clips a high ball towards the back post. Kudus rises above Murillo but can’t keep his header down — a difficult chance, but he’ll be frustrated not to test the keeper. The atmosphere has fallen a bit flat at the London Stadium. West Ham fans briefly make a bit of noise and Bowen and Kudus combine inside the box, but the move then fizzles out. Concerning scenes here as Bowen collides with the post just a week after Awoniyi did the same for Forest against Leicester. The Hammers captain needs medical attention and when he walks away looks to have sustained a nasty cut above his eye. However, after being checked on and patched up, he is allowed to return to the field. Play is paused after West Ham's Jarrod Bowen collides with the post. After what happened last weekend, it is no surprise to see Forest's players stop play straight away. Bowen is receiving treatment and appears to be sporting a cut above his eye. Forest celebrated that opening goal with another tribute to Taiwo Awoniyi, who is recovering from surgery. Pretty much the whole team gathered together to hold up a shirt printed with 'Awoniyi 9'. Forest lead and what a gift! Chants of 'Dodgy keeper, dodgy keeper! ' erupt from the Forest fans and can you blame them? Goodness me. Areola literally just passed the ball straight to Gibbs-White and left him an empty net to roll it in. You have a feeling a new goalkeeper will be on Potter's long list of transfer targets this summer. End-to-end stuff in East London. Bowen looks to cut inside but is crowded out — the ball rolls to Coufal, who powers into the box and drills a shot on target, only for Sels to beat it away. Forest go straight up the other end. Gibbs-White pulls it back to Wood on the edge of the area, and his crisp first-time effort forces a sharp save from Areola. Breathless few minutes — both sides going for it. 'Didn’t want to go to Latvia on a Thursday night anyway. ' That’s how I've heard one Brentford fan discuss the permutations from Crystal Palace’s FA Cup win yesterday, clearly resigned to missing out on European football as a result. It's unlikely, yes, but not impossible. Eighth could still get them there. If Chelsea finish seventh and win the Conference League, for example. Brentford need to treat today as if that will happen. Shaky start from Forest. Less than two minutes in and Soucek nearly gives West Ham the lead. He meets Coufal's cross from deep and it needs a fingertip save from Sels to tip it over. Todibo then glances wide at the near post from Ward-Prowse's resulting corner. By David Coverdale At The King Power Stadium Leicester have produced a special souvenir programme for Jamie Vardy's farewell. 'Goodbye to the GOAT' is the title on the front with special features on the Foxes No 9 throughout the glossy 100-page magazine. 'Today will be Jamie's moment, ' writes chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha in his programme notes 'For the years of service, for the appearances in Leicester blue, for the goals, for the trophies, for his unique connection with our supporters and as a symbol of the spirit that defined the most successful era in our history, Jamie rightly carries the title of our greatest of all time. ' Vardy flags also fill the King Power Stadium. West Ham's final home game of the season is underway. The Hammers start this match in 15th place but could finish the campaign anywhere from 17th to 13th. However, today is more about what is at stake for Forest, who really need a win to boost their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League With kick-off moments away at the London Stadium, West Ham have confirmed Aaron Wan-Bissaka as their Hammer of the Year. The former Man United right back was presented with a trophy on the pitch just now. Lovely touch from the Forest players who are warming up with shirts that say 'Awoniyi 9' on the back and 'We're all with you Taiwo' on the front in solidarity with their team-mate who remains in hospital after surgery on a ruptured intestine from colliding with the post against Leicester last weekend. The last three meetings between Leicester and Ipswich have ended in 1-1 draws — all thanks to late goals. Will history repeat itself today? Leicester must win their final two games to avoid recording the lowest points total in their Premier League history. They've won just two of their last 10 games, but did beat Southampton last time out to end a dreadful home run. Ipswich are also trying to dodge an unwanted record. They have picked up 68% of their points away from home this season — but another loss today would see them post their worst-ever top-flight total (under 3pts per win rules). Fulham XI: Leno, Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson, Berge, Lukic, Traore, Smith Rowe, Iwobi, Jimenez Subs: Benda, Cuenca, Wilson, Cairney, Pereira, King, Sessegnon, Vinicius, Willian Brentford XI: Flekken, Kayode, Collins, van den Berg, Lewis-Potter, Norgaard, Yarmoliuk, Mbeumo, Damsgaard, Schade, Wissa Subs: Valdimarsson, Henry, Pinnock, Mee, Ajer, Jensen, Konak, Thiago, Nunes Ipswich Town XI: Palmer, Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Greaves, Davis, Morsy, Cajuste, Hutchinson, Clarke, Enciso, Hirst Subs: Walton, Woolfenden, Johnson, Godfrey, Taylor, Luongo, Chaplin, Delap, Broadhead Captain Jamie Vardy starts for one last time. .. Leicester legend Jamie Vardy will make his 500th — and final — appearance for the club in this afternoon's game against Ipswich. The 38-year-old striker has netted 199 goals for the Foxes, and is expected to captain the side one last time at the King Power. Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy confirmed: 'He wanted to say goodbye at home. We want to give him the send-off he deserves. ' West Ham will be captained by Jarrod Bowen today. But Hammers boss Graham Potter praised the understated leadership qualities of Tomas Soucek earlier this week. 'He goes about his work in a quiet way and has been fantastic to work with, ' said Potter. 'He helps defensively, in set pieces, and contributes goals. He’s been a fantastic signing. ' There’s some positive news to report on Taiwo Awoniyi, the Nottingham Forest striker who underwent emergency surgery earlier this week after suffering a serious injury in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Leicester. Awoniyi is now out of an induced coma and said to be recovering well in hospital after doctors operated on a ruptured intestine — an injury sustained when he collided with the post at the City Ground. Remarkably, he initially attempted to play on before Forest's medical team rushed him for further checks, which revealed the true extent of the damage. He was taken into surgery on Monday night and placed in a coma to restrict movement and stabilise his condition. Nuno Espírito Santo confirmed on Friday that Awoniyi is still under observation and will remain in hospital for at least five days. 'We are concerned but we are positive, ' he said. 'His family are there. What he really needs is their support. ' The Forest boss added that players have been messaging regularly for updates and expressed hope Awoniyi could return to the training ground next week — even just to be around the group. 'This is our last opportunity to try and fight for the Champions League, ' said Forest boss Nuno on Friday. 'It's not been easy to prepare this week. Taiwo's (Awoniyi) absence affected everyone, but we know our obligation is to move forward and give it a go. ' By Robert Summerscales Brazilian midfielder Danilo will make his 50th Premier League appearance today if he comes off the bench for Nottingham Forest. In doing so, he will become only the sixth Forest player to reach that milestone since their 2022 promotion. By Robert Summerscales Jarrod Bowen has been directly involved in six goals in his last six league matches, with four goals and two assists. He's also scored in three straight league games at the London Stadium — and could become the first West Ham player to net in four successive home games since Jesse Lingard in 2021. By Robert Summerscales West Ham snapped their eight-game winless run in style last weekend, beating Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford. A home victory today would give Graham Potter’s side back-to-back league wins for the first time since February. The Hammers are unbeaten in their last seven final home games of a Premier League season (W5 D2). Massive game for Forest in deciding which European competition they will play in next season. The Champions League is slipping away and Nuno Espirito Santo's side need to win here and then again against Chelsea on the final day, while also needing rivals to drop points elsewhere, to secure top five. Palace's FA Cup win means that only sixth place will now qualify for the Europa League. Nuno will hope that Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White, both named in the starting line-up, can do the first part of their job. West Ham have nothing left to play for so this afternoon will be an emotional goodbye to stalwarts like Vladimir Coufal, Aaron Cresswell and Lukas Fabianski who will leave the club in the summer. Coufal and Cresswell start this afternoon. By Robert Summerscales Nottingham Forest remain in the hunt for an unlikely Champions League spot — but they need maximum points from their final two games and results elsewhere to go their way. Nuno Espírito Santo's side head to the London Stadium buoyed by a strong away record — nine wins on the road this season, bettered only by Liverpool. Forest thumped West Ham 3-0 earlier this season. Another win today would complete their first league double over the Hammers since 1983-84. By Robert Summerscales Nottingham Forest XI: Sels, Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams, Sangare, Anderson, Dominguez, Gibbs-White, Elanga, Wood Subs: Miguel, Morato, Toffolo, Abbott, Yates, Danilo, Hudson-Odoi, Silva, Sosa By Robert Summerscales West Ham United XI: Areola, Todibo, Kilman, Cresswell, Coufal, Ward-Prowse, Rodriguez, Soucek, Wan-Bissaka, Bowen, Kudus Subs: Fabianski, Mavropanos, Emerson, Soler, Paqueta, Alvarez, Fullkrug, Guilherme, Ferguson By Robert Summerscales Good afternoon and welcome to Mail Sport's live coverage of the penultimate Sunday of the 2024-25 Premier League season.
