A left-footed forward who would add serious firepower to the Ibrox side’s attack, Skov Olsen has been identified as the blockbuster signing who could help boss Danny Rohl’s title push. With Champions League pedigree as well as 40 caps for the Danish national team, the 26-year-old is highly coveted by a number of clubs around Europe. But Rangers are now increasingly confident of getting a deal over the line after holding positive talks with Skov Olsen’s representatives. It’s believed that the player would be keen on a move to Glasgow, and sees the chance to fight for a league title as the ideal way to reignite his career. Andreas Skov Olsen, celebrating scoring for Denmark, is closing in on a move to Rangers Wolfsburg paid £12million to sign him from Club Brugge last year and, with the player under contract until 2029, they want to protect their investment. Rangers are understood to be willing to pay a seven-figure loan fee to have him for the rest of the season. Talks remain ongoing with regards to the fee, which would then give Rangers the option to buy the player in the summer. Given that Skov Olsen would be keen on the move, as well as personal terms all but being agreed, it is believed there is now a growing confidence that Rangers can seal the deal. With the club keen to strengthen the right side of their attack, Hungary winger Damir Redzic is another option on their radar. The 22-year-old, who can also play on the left, currently plays for Dunajska Streda in Slovakia. Available for a fee of around £4m, he could well be the fallback option to Skov Olsen. Rohl has already strengthened his squad with the £4m acquisition of Sturm Graz midfielder Tochi Chukwuani, with Belgian left-back Tuur Rommens also close to completing his £3m move from Westerlo. Elsewhere, Oscar Cortes has been recalled from his loan spell with Sporting Gijon, but has immediately been loaned out again to Argentinian side Huracan. Cortes failed to impress under a succession of managers at Ibrox, with Huracan having an option to buy the Colombian winger at the end of the deal.
