They seem to have found a route to trouble Falkirk as this has progressed with a little more width paying off. In fairness, both teams are showing strong defensive qualities and fight in midfield areas but momentum increasingly swung in Kilmarnock's favour without resulting in the breakthrough. Someone needs a little spark or it of composure to open this up. Scottish League 2 Scottish League 1 Scottish Championship There's always goals when these two meet in recent times and so it is again. United took the lead through Luca Stephenson's prodded finish, with Martin Boyle thumping in the equaliser. Both sides have also struck the crossbar, but it is the visitors who have had more of the chances. Martin Boyle equalised for the visitors Dundee United 1-1 Hibernian United's turn to hit the woodwork. Will Ferry's corner comes off the face of the bar with goalkeeper Raphael Sallinger struggling. Leon King Three and easy for Ayr as Dunfermline get themselves in a muddle at the back and Leon King knocks in the visitors' third. It's not been brilliant but Kilmarnock have markedly improved in the final 20 minutes of the first half. James Brown and Greg Kiltie in particular have had good chances. Falkirk are struggling for creativity again. Josh Fowler Dundee United 1-1 Hibernian A sniff at goal for United, but midfielder Amar Fatah can only volley well over from just inside the penalty box. It's not been the Motherwell we've been used to seeing in the first half and Dundee have done well to nullify a lot of the threat from Jens Berthel Askou's men. The hosts turned things up a notch in the final 15 minutes or so but couldn't find a way to break the deadlock. Dundee United 1-1 Hibernian Tyrone Smith BBC Scotland at Tannadice Some real cornerman work by the Dundee United physios who have patched up keeper David Richards who has picked a rather nasty looking boxer's cut just above his right eye. Premier Sports Cup winners St Mirren should have had more celebrating to do in this first half but, thus far, they cannot find a way through against Livingston. The visitors have threatened fleetingly and would probably take a point right now. Motherwell 0-0 Dundee That's an incredible run from Elijah Just, who was having to deal with Finlay Robertson tugging his shirt the whole time. He eventually plays a ball towards the back post but no one in claret and amber can get to it. The hosts are cranking up the pressure. Kilmarnock 0-0 Falkirk Tyreece John-Jules, who is playing off the left, sends a ball in which takes a deflection. Greg Kiltie takes a nice touch under pressure but then steers the ball over on the stretch. Jamie Gullan That looks like game over in Perth before half-time. Dundee United 1-1 Hibernian So close to a second for Hibs. Debutant Zach Mitchell rises to meet a corner and between his head and goalkeeper Dave Richards' fist, the ball strikes the face of the crossbar before being hacked clear off the line. Richards is down receiving treatment for a cut eye. St Mirren 0-0 Livingston St Mirren threaten as Dan Nlundulu gets away a shot in a crowded penalty area and again there are too many Livingston players in the way. It really could have ended up anywhere. Dundee United 1-1 Hibernian Tyrone Smith BBC Scotland at Tannadice An absolutely terrific finish by Martin Boyle to level things at Tannadice. He has looked up for it today, and is in one of his 'every time he is on the ball he is going to cause all sorts of problems' moods. Kilmarnock 0-0 Falkirk Tyreece John-Jules is screaming at referee Ryan Lee for a penalty as a free kick comes into the box. The Kilmarnock striker goes down as Henry Cartwright puts his hands on his back. There not enough contact to go down there, and if he stays on his feet he probably gets a header away.
