The players cannot be faulted for their application or desire but the quality has been lacking from both teams. The number of injuries has not helped with the game being very stop-start. Quite simply this game needs a spark to get going and give the hardy fans braving the cold and wet conditions some festive cheer. Jim Goodwin needs to see more from his Dundee United side in the second half HT: Livingston 0-2 Dundee Amy Canavan BBC Sport Scotland at Home of the Set Fare Arena Referee Dan Mc Farlane's whistle could barely be heard over the boos here. A painful first half for the home side's supporters. Dundee ran riot in the first half Well that was certainly a half of football. Motherwell have only clicked into gear on two or three occasions, and even then, those moments haven't produced a clear-cut chance. United are struggling to link, but have had a good chance through Max Watters. He absolutely bottled the finish, though. The weather hasn't been great, the stop-start nature of the game hasn't been great. It just has not been great. Scottish Championship It's been an efficient and clinical performance from Dundee. Yan Dhanda cushioned in a lovely first-time effort after Ethan Hamilton's shot was parried by Jerome Prior. Five minutes later, Cameron Congreve tapped in Tony Yogane's excellent cross. Livingston have huffed and puffed in response but, as it stands, Dundee are moving seven points clear of them. Dundee United 0-0 Motherwell A decent chance for Motherwell, as Tawanda Maswanhise curls a low, left-footed effort at goal. Dave Richards is behind it. Can either side make the breakthrough before the break? Dundee United 0-0 Motherwell Max Watters turns nicely on the halfway line and sets up Dundee United team-mate Zac Sapsford, but the Aussie can only find the goalkeeper with his low strike. Five minutes additional time in this first half. Livingston 0-2 Dundee Another chance for Dundee from a free-kick. Billy Koumetio's glancing header goes just past the far post. Henry Fieldson Henry Fieldson heads Queen's Park into the lead. Jai Rowe Jai Rowe scores from long range to give Raith Rovers a dominant lead. Livingston 0-2 Dundee Amy Canavan BBC Sport Scotland at Home of the Set Fare Arena Lots of heid shakes from David Martindale on the touchline. Every time he turns back to face his dugout, the exasperation across his face grows. Dundee United 0-0 Motherwell Huge chance for United! Max Watters plucks the ball out of the sky, in between Liam Gordon and Calum Ward. It puts him one-on-one, but he completely duffs the shot. Livingston 0-2 Dundee Lovely play from Livingston in the Dundee box tees up Scott Pittman, who lets the ball run across his body and on to his right foot. He steers his shot on goal, but it's too close to Jon Mc Cracken in the Dundee goal. He pushes it out for a corner. Livingston 0-2 Dundee Cameron Congreve netted Dundee's second at Livingston. Dundee United 0-0 Motherwell Motherwell's Tawanda Maswanhise is into the book after he scythes down Amar Fatah, who was on the break. He might have got the ball, but he's come through the back of the player. Decent spot for United from this free-kick, which Will Ferry stands over. He goes for goal instead of the expected cross, but fires it into the wall. It's taken the wind right out of Lukas Fadinger. Livingston 0-2 Dundee Steven Pressley must be pleased with what he has seen so far today from Dundee and they are heading up the table as things stand. Motherwell almost get caught out trying to play out from a goal kick. However, they manage to beat the press, win a free-kick and fly up the right-hand side through Elijah Just. It comes to naught, but it's a little warning to the hosts. Motherwell's Elijah Just and Dundee United's Luca Stephenson Livingston 0-2 Dundee Ilmari Samuels comes on and takes up position on the right side of Dundee's defence, with Ryan Astley is forced off with an injury. Livingston 0-2 Dundee Yan Dhanda scored the weekend's first Scottish Premiership goal and Dundee have since scored again. Last Updated 13th December 2025 at 15: 50 Please Note: All times UK.
