Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Another Dons strike, this one is from Emmanuel Gyamfi, who slices well wide from about 20 yards. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen There are huge gaps for Aberdeen on the break. They surge forward again and Jesper Karlsson's deflected strike is gathered. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Amy Canavan BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park Jens Berthel Askou anticipated an aggressive Aberdeen. The Motherwell manager has been proven right so far. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen For Motherwell, it's been a bit sloppy by their standards in the pouring Lanarkshire rain. Still early, though. FT: St Mirren 1-0 Dundee St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "It was a tight game. Dundee started better than us. We started to get opportunities and gain momentum and we scored at a good time. "We were in control of the game. We had ownership of the game without Dundee really creating a lot of chances in the second half. We're delighted with the result. "Killian Phillips is infectious - his energy, his quality. He probably doesn't get that credit for how technically good he is. He drives us. He was the one that was leading the press. He triggers everybody else around him. " Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen There's so much more zip and intensity about Aberdeen's play in these opening minutes. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen That's better from the hosts as Apostolos Stamatelopoulos wins a corner. In it comes from Elliot Watt, but it's headed away. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Kevin Nisbet works the keeper again, but this one is a tame effort from the edge of the box from the Dons striker. Motherwell haven't got going at all. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Willie Miller Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound Where has that been hiding all season? I think Kevin Nisbet has got to score, it would have been a magnificent start for the visitors. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen Aberdeen should have the lead within the first minute. Emmanuel Gyamfi's cross from the left finds Kevin Nisbet, whose close-range header is tipped over brilliantly from Calum Ward. Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen We're under way following a minute's applause for former Motherwell and Liverpool player Bobby Graham, who died earlier this month. Motherwell v Aberdeen (17: 45) Amy Canavan BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park The rain may be absolutely clattering down at Fir Park, but under-fire Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin wasn't in a dampened mood. It's a rare switch of formation from Thelin. He desperately needs it to work. If it doesn't, the hearty band of travelling supporters to his right will let him know. Motherwell v Aberdeen (17: 45) Motherwell: Ward, O'Donnell, Gordon, Welsh, Longelo, Watt, Fadinger, Said, Charles-Cook, Maswanhise, Stamatelopoulos. Substitutes: Oxborough, Balmer, Halliday, Osong, Priestman, Koutroumbis, Ross, Mc Allister, Mc Colm. Aberdeen: Mitov, Devlin, Knoester, Milne, Tobers, Gyamfi, Shinnie, Palaversa, Aouchiche, Karlsson, Nisbet. Substitutes: Suman, Nilsen, Clarkson, Milanovic, Bilalovic, Dorrington, Lazetic, Jensen, Keskinen. FT: Dundee United 0-2 Kilmarnock Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland: "We're bitterly disappointed to have lost the game and put an end to the unbeaten run we've been on. "I spoke before about consistency in starting XI because of the consistency of performances. Unfortunately today, that dropped below the standard of what is needed to win games in the Scottish Premiership. "I don't want to take anything away from Kilmarnock, they were very good on the day. Stuart Kettlewell has them well drilled, they're difficult to break down, and defended their box brilliantly. "A couple of key moments in the game have cost us. We didn't do enough in the game overall. " Motherwell v Aberdeen (17: 45) Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "I think the performance last week was, in many ways, very good. "There was a bit to improve in our decision-making and quality on the ball, but in terms of our defensive stability and structure and willingness to fight and work hard, there was a lot to be pleased about. "It's also about getting a bit of continuity in the team. We've got no new injuries from this week to last week which makes us able to put the same squad out, but we haven't been able to get any of the players back from injury. "We believe that if we keep working on the attacking sharpness more results and wins will come our way. "This is a great group of players who understand all the details and they're really invested in it, so I back them 100% to start getting more wins. " FT: Dundee United 0-2 Kilmarnock Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "Scoring two goals away from home, getting a clean sheet. The performance was excellent. "We tip-toed into it, both teams were a wee bit loose in possession at times. We felt there was space for us to exploit if we could connect. We started doing that. If I'm being really fussy I felt we could have scored a few more goals. "I didn't feel we were a million miles away from where we wanted to be. Did we execute them game plan pretty well against St Mirren and Celtic? Yes. "Two bitter blows cost us, and there might have been some negativity. Today, we got our just rewards for the performance and that gave the players a bit of extra confidence and belief. "It's not been a million miles from what we've had all season. The level of consistency has been excellent. We won't get too carried away. " FT: St Mirren 1-0 Dundee Dundee manager Steven Pressley tells BBC Sportsound: "There was very little in the game. Simon Murray's always going to be a big miss. "St Mirren, without doubt, finished the first half the stronger team. We created some good moments in the second half. We defended our set plays with great effect. "Something we put a big onus on is attacking set plays and set plays can be the difference in this league between being a top-six club and being a bottom-six club, and today our attacking set plays were really poor. "The signs are there, we're not far away. I felt we should've got something, we should've certainly got something. " FT: Celtic 0-0 Hibernian With an x G of three, Celtic failed to score today. That's an incredible stat. They have now scored fewer league goals than Dundee United, Hearts, Kilmarnock and Hibs. FT: Celtic 0-0 Hibernian Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland: "I was happy with the performance. I think in every metric in the game we were dominant. "I thought today our football was really good, we went through the pitch well but just lacked that killer instinct in the box. But I also think they defended the box really well so we need to credit Hibs for that. "We had good chances, I don't think there's any doubt about that. When the ball broke through we counter-pressed really well and we dealt well with the set-pieces, but it was just that final touch in the box we were lacking. "We just couldn't find the back of the net and when we did it was offside. " Killian Phillips' fifth goal of the season settled the match in Paisley At a glance Phillips slides in first-half winner as hosts go third St Mirren's Gogic & Ayunga threatened before opener, Phillips again late on Dundee's Wright had visitors' best effort early on Killian Phillips' first-half goal against Dundee secured St Mirren's second Scottish Premiership win of the season and moved Stephen Robinson's side third in the table. Phillips diverted in Jonah Ayunga's low shot to give the Paisley side a deserved lead. Dundee, without captain Simon Murray, had threatened an opener through Drey Wright before the hosts took control. Alex Gogic was denied by Dundee's Jon Mc Cracken and Ayunga skilfully evaded his marker to also test the goalkeeper. Had Ayunga scored, it would've been special. Phillips shot wide late on and St Mirren saw out the match comfortably, despite the narrowness in the score, with Dundee unable to force much more than long-range efforts. The match had been preceded by a minute's applause in memory of former St Mirren player and manager Jimmy Bone, who passed away in early September. After three successive top-half finishes, St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson was adamant that games such as this are ones they must win if they want another top-six place come May. Given how the Paisley outfit gained territory in the first half and controlled the second, it's only more obvious that Robinson has the Premiership sussed. Should St Mirren continue to take this approach, they won't be far away come the split. With Wright's well-struck shot that was saved, Dundee really could have set the tone in the Paisley rain but afterwards they found themselves retreating and retreating to the point where they couldn't get out. In the second period, they were largely restricted to long-range efforts and Dundee's cause was not helped by the absence of Murray in attack. Nevertheless, Steven Pressley's side, who are seventh but could slip below Motherwell and Livingston after their weekend fixtures, have had a solid enough start to the league season after a difficult Premier Sports Cup campaign and early exit. St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson: "We were in control of the game. " Dundee manager Steven Pressley: "There was very little in the game. Simon's always going to be a big miss. "Something we put a big onus on is attacking set plays and set plays can be the difference in this league between being a top-six club and being a bottom-six club and today, our attacking set plays were really poor. Having won on their last league visit to St. Mirren 2-1 last December, Dundee could win back-to-back away games at the Buddies in the top-flight for the first time since January 2015 (3 in a row). St. Mirren have only lost one of their last 11 league games (W4 D6), a 0-1 defeat to Celtic on MD1 this season. At home, the Buddies are unbeaten in seven league matches (W3 D4) since a 2-5 loss to Celtic in March. After their 3-2 win over Livingston, Dundee could pick up back-to-back league victories for the first time since March 2024. The Dark Blues have, though, failed to win each of their last 12 Scottish Premiership games that have come after a win (D3 L9), and have followed up each of their last four victories with a defeat in their next league game. Cameron Congreve has recorded three assists in Dundee’s last two league games, while an assist against St. Mirren would make him only the second player aged 21 or younger to assist a goal in three successive Scottish Premiership appearances since the start of 2021-22, after 20-year-old Oluwaseun Adewumi also did so for Dundee in March/April last season – when his third match came against St. Mirren.
