The wait for Premier League action to return will soon be over, as the country’s biggest clubs battle it out for title glory, European places and even just to retain their seat at the top table of the English game. With a monumental summer of spending already taking place in the transfer market, here’s a look at three outright tips ahead of this highly anticipated 2025/26 Premier League season. BET £10 GET £30 IN FREE BETS WITH TALKSPORT BET Reds ready to retain English crown The standout team in the Premier League last season, Arne Slot’s Liverpool will take some stopping once again this term. The Reds made a statement with the signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen over the summer, while the addition of Hugo Ekitike adds even more firepower to the their options in the final third. They are also pushing hard for a move for Newcastle ace Alexander Isak but, even if they don’t get a deal over the line for the Sweden international, they are still good value at 13/8 for the title. Securing the services of skipper Virgil van Dijk and star forward Mohamed Salah on new contracts at the back end of last season were important for the club and both can play big roles in keeping the Premier League trophy at Anfield for another year. Citizens can respond to poor campaign Finishing 13 points behind eventual champions Liverpool in the title race, Manchester City fell well below the high standards they set themselves last term. Injuries certainly didn’t help the Citizens’ cause and the world learnt just how valuable Spain midfielder Rodri is to the way his team plays after his lengthy injury lay-off. However, the Ballon d’Or winner is back and will feel like a new signing for City as they look to challenge for the Premier League title again this season. The loss of Kevin De Bruyne over the summer is a blow, but the club look to have done some shrewd business in the window, with Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait-Nouri all coming through the door. City have responded well to disappointing campaigns in the past and Pep Guardiola’s side are a solid price at 11/10 to finish in the top two this season. Tough going to save the Bees While the trend of late has been for the three teams that come up from the Championship go straight back down, this season could buck that trend. Thomas Frank was pivotal to Brentford’s rise to the Premier League and their ability to establish themselves as a regular feature in the top-flight. The Danish tactician’s move to Tottenham has left the Bees exposed and it’s going to be a big ask for Keith Andrews to keep Brentford up in his first manager role at this level. Andrews’ task has been made even harder with the departures of Christian Norgaard and Bryan Mbeumo, while another key figure in Yoane Wissa is pushing for a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium. Newly-promoted Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland will be rubbing their hands at the troubles at the Bees, who are at an attractive price of 3/1 to finish in the bottom three this season.
