Footage shared on social media reportedly showed a topless Coyle, 29, being led away from the incident by his younger brother Rocco, 18. The Championship player was seen being pushed away from a crowd and in front of a stationary bus, with traffic on the road having come to a stop. According to the Sun, the Championship player had been at the Empress pub at around 8pm on Sunday with his older brother, a former professional boxer. A row at the pub had reportedly continued onto the street, with multiple people claimed to have been fighting. 'It all happened yesterday at around 8pm in town in Hull in the city centre, ' a witness told the Sun. Hull captain Lewie Coyle was reportedly seen being led away from a brawl topless on Sunday Hull City have confirmed the club has launched an investigation into the social media footage Coyle had reportedly been in the Empress pub with his brothers when the fight occurred Coyle joined Hull in 2020 and has spent five seasons playing for the Championship club 'I was just on my way home when I saw lots of people fighting. 'At the time I wasn't aware it was Lewie Coyle - I saw him being pushed by his brother. ' Hull City have confirmed they have launched an investigation. 'Hull City is aware of a video currently circulating on social media and has launched an investigation into the matter, ' a statement read. 'The club will refrain from making further comment until the investigation has been concluded. ' BBC Humberside Sport shared the statement with the caption: 'We've received this statement from Hull City after a video emerged on social media last night which appears to show club captain, Lewie Coyle and brother Rocco, who also plays for the club, involved in an incident in Hull city centre. ' Coyle joined Hull City in 2020 from Fleetwood Town and has played for the club for the past five seasons. The 29-year-old was part of the Hull side to earn promotion from League One back in 2020-21. Hull avoided relegation from the Championship on Saturday, with a 1-1 draw against Portsmouth earning the club a crucial point to overtake Luton on the final day of the season.
