Arguably one of (if not) Fulham's best player and linked to a number of clubs over the last few seasons, surprised nobody has made a move for the defender with the most assists last season in the EPL. Maybe they should find a decent coach first, which is maybe why they can't attract anybody decent now. Johnny, Manchester Karan Vinod BBC Sport Journalist Kyle Walker-Peters was reportedly close to joining Turkish giants Besiktas this summer. Had the move gone through, he would have been welcomed with the club’s famous viral marketing campaign - the iconic “Come to Besiktas” video. Back in 2017, this simple clip featuring Ricardo Quaresma inviting teammate Pepe to Istanbul sparked a global meme, with fans using the phrase to try and lure players to the club. Though the transfer ultimately collapsed, the phrase perfectly captures the excitement and fanfare that surrounds a Besiktas signing. But this isn’t the first time Besiktas have been out there on social. Over the years, the club has built a reputation for clever and sometimes cheeky online content - from playful player videos to bold social media challenges - that keep fans engaged and the club’s profile rising worldwide. Though Walker-Peters’ transfer to Besiktas ultimately fell through, the club’s social media antics perfectly capture the excitement and personality that come with a move to Istanbul. Jarrod Bowen seems to be attracting little to no interest in this summer window so far - that we know about anyway. Who else do you believe is going under the radar? We'll try not and alert scouts around the world - but which player(s) in your side or another are you shocked aren't in the limelight this summer? A bit of the James Milner syndrome - a player that did so much for the team but did so often without all the fuss and speculation. Click 'Get Involved' at the top of the page and let us know! Karan Vinod BBC Sport Journalist Kyle Walker-Peters came through the youth system at Tottenham Hotspur and made his Premier League debut for the club in 2017. Known for his pace, technical control and composure on the ball, he featured sporadically for Spurs before joining Southampton on loan in January 2020. Over five years at Southampton, Walker-Peters made over 200 appearances in all competitions, including 169 league appearances. His versatility allowed him to play both right and left-back with equal comfort, and he became a consistent performer in a changing Saints side. He played a key role in their 2023–24 promotion back to the Premier League, and despite the team’s struggles in the top flight last season, Walker-Peters remained one of their standout performers. At the youth level, Walker-Peters was part of the England U20 squad that lifted the Fifa U20 World Cup in 2017. He earned a senior England call-up in 2022, going on to make two appearances for the national side. Click 'Get Involved' at the top of this page to have your say I have been a Man Utd fan since I was an embryo and am not totally convinced with Mbeumo. He has had one good season, the previous two he netted nine goals in each in all comps. Jarrod Bowen would be a better bet, he scores more goals. Keith, London As Simon touched on in the post below, Walker-Peters was very close to joining Turkish side Besiktas. And they haven't taken too kindly to it all. They released a statement on the situation yesterday evening. It read: "It is publicly known that the arrival of Kyle Walker-Peters, with whom we previously announced an agreement in principle and invited him to Istanbul for a medical examination, has been postponed. "Today, Kyle Walker-Peters notified us, requesting an extension. "Consequently, our club has withdrawn its transfer. "Our club continues its transfer efforts in accordance with its established policy. " Simon Stone BBC Sport chief football news reporter West Ham have agreed personal terms with Kyle Walker-Peters on a free transfer following the full-back's exit from Southampton. The 28-year-old England international left the Saints, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, after the expiry of his contract at St Mary's. He was on the verge of joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Besiktas but the Turkish club said they were walking away from the transfer on Thursday after the defender delayed his medical following interest from the Hammers. Walker-Peters, who has two England caps, made 202 appearances for Southampton and scored six goals during his time there. After initially joining on loan from Tottenham, he signed a permanent contract in 2020. He played 43 league games in 2023-24 as the Saints were promoted to the Premier League, and 35 during the 2024-25 season, providing two top-flight assists. West Ham, who finished 14th last season, signed Senegal defender El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Prague for £19m this week and also made Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo's loan move permanent. Manchester City have completed the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg for £12. 5m on a five-year deal. Teenager Nypan has represented his country at youth levels up to and including under-21s, and it is expected he will go on a season-long loan for the 2025-26 campaign. It is understood that, if a loan is not arranged before the players return for pre-season on 28 July, he will train with Pep Guardiola's first team. "It's a dream for any young footballer to become part of this club and to join such a group of world class talent, " said Nypan. "I am still very young with a lot to learn but the chance to be coached by Pep Guardiola, the best manager in the world, will only help me to become a better player.
