'When I knew I was coming, I wanted to learn to adapt. 'New country, new team and new city. .. It is important to show that you intend to adapt as best as possible to the culture. That's what I'm doing. ' Given he has spent his whole career on Merseyside, many would have expected Alexander-Arnold to start life in Spain with little to no knowledge of the language. Parts of the Liverpool faithful, and many a football fan in general, have been left questioning how Alexander-Arnold is so well-versed in speaking the language, given he only decided to leave Anfield back in March. Liverpool fan media outlet, Redmen TV, wrote: 'Impressive for a lad who only decided in March really. ' Meanwhile, another insinuated that Alexander-Arnold has clearly been plotting to leave the Reds for longer than it seemed. They wrote: 'This guy has been planning this move for a WHILE! !' Another red was inclined to agree: 'Of course Trent should, when you're planning this move for almost 2 years. ' Following Madrid's 1-1 draw with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in Miami, Alexander-Arnold insisted that he knows he 'made the right decision' to move to the Bernabeu.   'It's the first time that I've moved clubs so I didn't know what to expect. I had no expectations coming into this, ' he told Mail Sport.   'It's a big change and it's different but I'm loving every single minute of it and in my mind and my heart, I know that I made the right decision for me. '
