Aston Villa will play the first of three fixtures in the United States this weekend when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt. Unai Emery's side haven't made a great start to pre-season, losing to Walsall and Hansa Rostock in their two outings so far. But Villa will hope to really kickstart their preparations for the new season as they play across the pond. They first face German side Frankfurt before coming up against MLS sides St. Louis and Nashville in the following days. Emery and his squad are getting set for a busy season, with another European campaign coming up. This pre-season friendly will take place on Saturday, July 26. It will be played at the Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky. Kick-off is scheduled for midnight (12am on Sunday morning) UK time, which is 7pm local time. Fans can watch the game live on Aston Villa's official channel. Villa TV will be broadcasting all of the action, with fans able to watch using Memberships and Match Passes. Those who already have paid memberships can tune in for free, but if you don't, it will cost £5. 99 to buy the live stream. More details on how to buy the Match Pass or become a Villa TV member can be found here. Villa are yet to make any major moves in the summer transfer window, meaning there aren't many new faces. New goalkeeper Marco Bizot could feature in this game after starting last time out, while Yasin Ozcan could get his first start. But the line-up will likely include returning regulars like Ollie Watkins, Youri Tielemans, Morgan Rogers and John Mc Ginn. They are among the international stars ready for pre-season, with Donyell Malen, Matty Cash and Ezri Konsa also set to appear. As for Frankfurt, Hugo Ekitike has not travelled with the squad to the USA as his move to Liverpool nears completion. Mario Gotze will feature, while ex-Premier League players Michy Batshuayi, Rasmus Kristensen and Robin Koch will play. Villa's Pau Torres is pleased to be playing alongside the club's young talent during pre-season this summer. Speaking after a loss to Hansa Rostock last weekend, Torres said: “It was a good game to get fit. We still have many young lads. "They did an amazing season last season with the Under-21s and Under-18s. "We are happy as well to have them in the team, in the squad, helping them to improve. "I think it’s good for the club that the young lads can play with us. “Still work to do and achieve. ” © 2025 talk SPORT Limited
