Ex-Man United academy product joins Ravel Morrison in Dubai – 'I still have plenty to offer' - Manchester Evening News Danny Simpson has come out of retirement to move to the United Arab Emirates(Image: Paul Mcfegan/Sportsphoto/Allstar via Getty Images) Simpson has moved to Arabian Falcons, who play in the UAE Second Division side, where he will also link up with former United star Ravel Morrison, who is captain of the club. Simpson, 39, spent five years as a United first-team player after linking up with the squad in 2005, before eventually going on to leave Old Trafford in 2020 to join Newcastle on a permanent deal. Now, though, Simpson is back in football and has made the move to Dubai, where he will work with former Liverpool star Jonjo Shelvey, who is the club’s manager. Speaking about the move, Simpson has explained why he decided to come out of retirement to move to the UAE.
