Manchester City could soon follow their rivals in signing a midfielder after it emerged late on Wednesday evening that they launched a bid for Elliot Anderson. The latter has been linked to Chelsea and Liverpool as well but the Gunners are seemingly in pole position to sign the Aston Villa star. Arsenal have reportedly made contact about a potential move for Newcastle star Sandro Tonali. The Italian midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, most notably Manchester United and Manchester City. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have now been in contact with the midfielder's entourage about a move - though any deal will not be cheap, especially if it creates a bidding war with both Manchester clubs looking to improve their midfields this summer.
