Liverpool transfer news recap: Deals agreed for Iraola favourites, Bouaddi link, Diomande latest - Liverpool Echo Liverpool seem to be in the driving seat for RB Leipzig attacker Yan Diomande after already submitting an offer for the player, with a follow-up bid widely expected. Meanwhile, the likes of Curtis Jones and Federico Chiesa are being tipped for moves away, which could help raise some valuable funds. Bournemouth duo Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper have agreed deals to end their contracts with the South Coast club. Ex-Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson, who joined the Reds on this day in 2009 from Portsmouth for £17.5m, exclusively opened up on the move to the ECHO. “If a club like Liverpool comes knocking, you obviously immediately have an eye on it and an interest,” Johnson said. While it's a transfer firmly in the realms of fantasy - Reds fans would hope - former United winger Antonio Valencia believes his old club should swoop for the star, who has struggled since joining Madrid from Liverpool in the summer of 2025. According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are said to have a "firm" interest in signing Lille and Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. The report states that Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all interested in signing Bouaddi. A good deal of that was likely due to the fact a scapegoat was needed to explain Real's struggles under Xabi Alonso and then Alvaro Arbeloa.

Everton close in on deal for Chelsea winger Tyrique George - BBC Sport
Everton close in on deal for Chelsea winger Tyrique George - BBC Sport Tyrique George played 48 games in all competitions for Chelsea and Everton last season Everton are close to agreeing a deal with Chelsea to sign winger Tyrique George following his loan spell. The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan on Merseyside, with an option to buy for £25m, but Everton have renegotiated an upfront fee to one with add-ons. With the deal for George close, Everton are finalising a £16m deal for Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney. Attacking midfielder Merlin Rohl is also set to make his loan move permanent following a successful spell from SC Freiburg last season, while Idrissa Gana Gueye and Seamus Coleman have departed after their contracts expired. George, who came through Chelsea's academy, has been available for transfer for the past 12 months. They have signed Marco Palestra from Atalanta and retain interest in Crystal Palace's Maxence Lacroix, Como's Jacobo Ramon and Rayo Vallecano full-back Pep Chavarria. Player sales are therefore likely, with Real Madrid interested in Enzo Fernandez, while Como and Inter Milan are among the clubs keen on Trevoh Chalobah. Chelsea open to selling £40m flop after learning price to sign Pep Chavarria | Football | Metro News
While Jorrel Hato is expected to be first-choice left-back, 28-year-old Chavarria is thought to offer good cover and experience to a side that slumped to 10th in the Premier League last season. The Spaniard, who helped Vallecano reach the UEFA Conference League final last season, where they were beaten by Crystal Palace, is said to be keen on the move. However, negotiations between the two clubs are not progressing well after Chelsea’s opening offer of €9million (£7.75m) plus add-ons was swiftly rejected. And BBC Sport report that the Blues will need to nearly triple their bid, as Vallecano insist they won’t sell unless Chavarria’s £21.5m release clause is triggered. Todd Boehly has already forked out over £100m on new signings this transfer window, but has recouped £65m by selling Cucurella and Tyrique George to Everton. More departures may be needed to fund a move for a new centre-back, with Palace vice-captain Maxence Lacroix and Como’s Jacobo Ramon on Alonso’s shortlist. Alonso’s view on the Argentine is not known, but it is said that Chelsea will only consider selling 22-year-old permanently, with a loan exit ruled out. ON APPLE & GOOGLE PLAY Speaking on his YouTube channel in the video post below, Romano says that Chelsea are continuing in their efforts to land Lacroix, though he also stressed that we would have to be patient as Palace only agree to sell their stars when the deal is right… Still, he said Chelsea are “pushing” to get a deal done for Lacroix, and Palace bringing in a replacement for him in defence could also be a key point in this saga. Add us as a preferred source on Google to your favourites list for news you can trust Chelsea have focused a lot on signing talented young players under this ownership, but a more proven and established player like Lacroix would be ideal for what this squad needs right now. For the moment, it sounds like by far the strongest links are with Chelsea, though at one point the Daily Mail also mentioned Liverpool’s interest in Lacroix.
